About This Game

The year is 2047. A massive nuclear fireball explodes high in the night sky, marking the dramatic beginning of the Third Tiberium War and the long-awaited return of the most groundbreaking Real-Time Strategy franchise of all time. Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars unveils the future of RTS gaming by bringing you back to where it all began: the Tiberium Universe. Amazing RTS game. Every decision you make matters, you have near infinite ways to decimate your opponent. All races feel balanced and play out different styles. It's the classic C&C/Red Alert strategy that we all know and love but amped up. Although multiplayer might not be as booming as it used to be you can buy it solely for the campaign. I have never been more immersed so deeply in a games story until I encountered C&C 3. It's honestly a great take on what would happen if humanity discovered an element with great potential like this. It's nice and lengthy but actually filled with content too, which is rare for most RTS'. TL;DR : Great RTS, phenomenal campaign, excellent gameplay.

This is one of, if not my favourite game ever. The last great C&C game in my opinion (Red Alert 3 is ok). If you like RTS games, this is the game for you and by far the best one. Everything, from the atmosphere of the battlefields to the great graphics (Even for nowadays). Only problem is that it is limited to 30fps. In this game it doesn't really matter but 60fps+ is still super nice in every game. Buy the living ♥♥♥♥ out of the game!

This game is quite amazing. Although it is old, the graphics are quite good and the gameplay never ceases to entertain me. Learning the game isn't too difficult. It took me a while to get the hang of it. The modding community is huge and offers some fantastic content. The only thing that I don't like about this game is the campaign. It wasn't very thought through and isn't very long. But it still offers some good gameplay! Great game overall!

One of the best strategy games I've played, along with the Kanes's wrath.
+ Lighting effects
+ New units
+ Good story
+ Scrin (aliens)
It's shame, that I can't say the same about the C&C 4

This game is great but I have to revert my graphics driver to an older driver for this game to run. It was really hard to find out where to get it and which one to download but im assuming it wont run at all with windows 10 stuff without finding the earliest windows 10 display driver. I dont think the multiplayer works for this game at all though too but the campaign is fun.

As far I am concern the this is one of the "holy trinities" of post Y2K strategy games.
C&C 3, Supreme Commander and StarCraft 2.

Back in the 90s, it was Tiberian Sun, Starcraft and Total Annihilation.
It is so sad on how the mighty have fallen. SC & TA still have their successors (okay for TA it is mostly "spiritual successors" but they are still there) but C&C ?

Deader than dead. And no Tib 4 did not exist.
I can't even bring myself to complete Red Alert 3 because it is just so different.
So until EA wakes the hell up, this is the last C&C game I remember.

As for the review proper, excellent game. Holds up very well even in this post 2010 year.
Cheesy cinematic FMVs, but C&C is about FMVs. A little easy compared to Tiberian sun, but hey for what it's worth, it is nice to rush stuff with Mammoths or Harpies.

Get it and play it. A beautiful piece of history of a great franchise.
Until EA gets their head out of their asses of course.

It's a never ending circle. And I'm going to be really honest here.

I've enjoyed this game when I was 7 years old and I still do to this day. The game's dynamics, graphics, gameplay and technique is amazing. There are so many ways of playing this game, doesn't matter how and what you do. But, of course, you have to think. Think fast and hard. When I'm sitting and have nothing better to do, I start to look at many games in my library. Always repeating the same words over and over again, that I have nothing to play. But seeing how C&C3:TW is just sitting there, begging for me to play it, I start to move my mouse on that "PLAY" button. I press it and get into it for more than an hour, without warning anyone that I'm going to play it, but hey, who cares and/or needs to know? And there I go. Skirmish with bots. You wanna say, that it isn't fun with bots? Wrong, it is. You can basically find and download variants of maps on the internet and try them out. You can try and play against Brutal, Hard and Medium bots, let some of them be your allies or enemies. Build up a base with lots of defences so that you won't screw things up and don't lose.

Build up an army out of ground support units like the Rifleman Squads, Missile Squads, Predator Tanks and etc. That's for GDI. Choose NOD for example: 10 Avatars, 6 OP Stealth Tanks, Beam Cannons and 2 Airfields with 8 Vertigo Bombers. And that is already a good and a powerful army that will kick ♥♥♥. For GDI: 4-6 Mammoth Tanks, 4-6 Predator Tanks, 4 APCs with 2 Rifleman Squads and 2 Missile Squads inside the APCs and 4-8 Firehawks. Both armies will kick each others asses in seconds or minutes. If you're in deep and chosen a map with Tiberium Spikes, never fear. Capture it, build up defences (use a Surveyor for that) and start slowly farming resources. Yeah, I know, it's a pain in the butt and a very slow process, but you'll have to manage to succeed. What about the Scrins? They're good, but the Mothership for $5000 is too OP, so I don't recommend to use it instantly. Just wait if you'll start losing and use some air support to let the Mothership destroy just everything. One charge from that cannon and the enemie's base is lost, turned into sheds.

I'm that kind of a person who likes to watch the battlefield from above. That's why it's called strategy, obviously. I saved alot of replays and I still watch them just to see how tanks, vehicles, air and ground units are turning into minced meat and start drowning into the ground. Seeing how 3 armies fight between each other, fight together against one or two armies, it's just a non-stop gameplay.

My grade? I will always keep my 10 out of 10 grade on this game. I can't leave it nor delete it. It's mechanics and gameplay are just addictive, like a drug. The singleplayer campaign has an intresting and a very amazing story, although it's getting harder to beat the game starting from Croatia when playing as NOD or Alexandria as GDI. Strongly recommend.

Game works perfectly on Windows 8

Graphics still hold up to this day

There is no unit limit

Game is balanced

Music is great

Campaign is pretty long. Possible to play as all 3 sides.

Not sure about in-game multiplayer services, but hamachi/Gameranger work fine.

AI can put up a fight and has different "characters" (Agressive, defensive, etc).

Command and Conquer 3 has to be one of the greatest in the series since the very first installment. If you aren't familiar with the series, pick this up. It's my all time favorite. Play as GDI, NOD, and god damn aliens. Evil god damn aliens.

I bought this game on Disc so ignore my time counter. This is the end all be all of strategy gaming. great balance of units count and variety, simple economics. Aircraft that actually move around for combat. tech trees that are different and yet balanced. a strong campaign and a brutal AI.

unfortunately due to the advent of C&C4 (utter garbage) it is the last great C&C.
