I bought this game to relive the fun I had playing for hours on my PS3, but I could not have been more dissapointed. The controls were awful with terrible controller support. Everything takes ages to load on a decent system (i5-4690K, 8 GB RAM and R9 390). There are tons of screen for content that is no longer available. Tons of content from the console version is not present and never coming out (I know this game is pretty old at this point).

For someone having played this on a console before, don't bother as it can't live up to past experience.

For a new player, give it a try, it can't hurt but this is one purchase that I quickly refunded.

I regret paying 10 euros for this game. Long ago i have tried this game and back then it felt cool, so i thought i will try it again for that nostalgia. 1 hour and i am bored. Progression in this game is extremely repetitive. Surely you have open world and you choose which way you want to go to reach finish line but that is all.
Not only that, but this ultimate box only gives you regular cars and bikes. There are many cars that are locked anhd as far as i can tell you need to purchase to unlock.

This game was cool back in its days, but in 2016 you can probably find much better game for just a bit higher price.

I played this game for the first time when it was released, then I bought a new computer, lost install disk, and it has been forgotten for ages. Some days ago I remembered one of the soundtrack(Sugarcult - Dead Living) and thought that Burnout should be selling there, so need no install disks. This game is so damn great, graphics is awesome for 2009, so is car damage model, and so is amazing Paradise City and countyside. Like.

The keyboard controls for this game are TERRIBLE, and it is incompatible with my Xbox One gamepad, the very same one I use for tons of other games. Look around online, and you will see plenty of threads with other people having this same problem.

Don't buy it. Although it might be a great game, it's a poor PC port in terms on controlling the game.

I bought this game on the summer sale and the first problem I had was that the freaking game wasn't visible in my library, I read a little bit and fixed it; then the webcam worked for a couple of times and suddenly stopped working, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't... and now, today I've been trying to play and the game stops working for no reason. Wtf is going on?! I don't know what happened with EA, they used to be a greeeeat company and recently they're all about the money.

Good game overall, although the box isn't perticulary ultimate. "The Ultimate Box" includes 3 out of, as far as I can tell, around 8 DLC's, one of which isn't even available for PC.

Plays good with 60+ FPS on most systems.
Will provide atleast 200+h of racing and gameplay until you have completely finished the game. I, personally, have sunken around 90h in this game and I've unlocked around half of the cars and just a fraction on all the jumps and secrets. But then again that might just be me being terrible at playing games.

TL;DR: Good game. Tons of gameplay hours. "Ultimate box" isn't ultimate what so ever and will ♥♥♥♥ you over.

I got a 100% Elite license for the 5th time (1st on PC) and got the 100% bike license. Too bad there's no official Big Surf Island, you can find the Vanity Mod that includes it (and the fact that it is so incredibly accurate makes me think this is some weird development trickery that can use the same assets for PC and console, weird) but personally I couldn't get it to work. Makes me sad.
Please release Big Surf for PC.

Not the Complete game, as it lacks some of the DLC, but it sure is fun to drive around Paradise City again. Nothing like turning a car into a crushed soda can, just because!

This is one of if not the best racing game that I have ever played! Almost everything is spot on, and there are very few annoyances. The graphics, gameplay, music, and the design of paradise city are fantastic! the city, the cars, and everything else are very well detailed. The gameplay is tight, esponsive, and the controls feel perfect for this game (if you're using a controller). Almost all of the music fits very well into the world and atmosphere that Criterion has made, but I can't say that the music is great (I think it is) because that's all up to youand your personal taste. And Paradise City is a very well crafted open world that is a ton of fun to explore full of seceret areas and shortcuts that help you win challenges! the only major negative that I have is that you sometimes feel like you cant avoid a crash. Mainly because you sometimes cant see a car, wall, pillar, ect coming until it's too late. That can get pretty annoying, but it doesn't happen all that much. Overall, Burnout Paradise is a very well crafted skill based racer that doesn't hold your hand, but never feels very unfair with great physics, world design, controlls, fitting music, and graphics. I deffinatley reccomend this game to all who want to try it, or are even just slightly interested in it!

This game is a old classic! I played it on the Xbox 360 ages back and after watching a video of it, I decided that I really wanted to buy this game, and here we go, I have the game and I'm writing this review!

I played around and after getting into the game for about a hour, I decided to get a few Showtime records and mess about to see if I could get any of the old bugs I once got myslef into was there (Which I did not manage to do). The only sad thing is that the Steam version doesn't have any achievments which is a big bummer..

Seeing as this is a old game, you cannot complain about the:

The destruction of the cars is still impressive to this day. One of the best executions of the open world concept, especially for a racing game. For me this is the best arcade racing game ever made.
