this is the game that tried to be a whole lot of games at once. it failed, and man is it a mess, but it's a good mess, overall.

make a creature that only has eyes and conquer the universe. blow up the earth. paint every planet a lovely shade of pink. all things are possible, except for those that aren't.

This game is for those who have some time to kill and have a big, wild imagination, like me. Progressing through the 5 stages is already an adventure, but as a captain in the 5th and final stage, the possibilities are practically endless(as if they weren't already)! Spore was always a favorite of mine when I was a kid, and when I heard that it was on Steam, I rushed for the opportunity to get to play it again. And I sure as hell wasn't dissapointed.

Downloading modpacks for it, however, is another story. The main modpack that I desperately wanted was Dark Injection; it added all sorts of new parts; Creepy and Cute, Robot Parts, Grox Parts, Parts from the now-diceased Darkspore, and so many others! But every time I got started with downloading each part, somehow somewhere a virus kicks in, overwhelms my AntiVirus, and kills my computer. This happened 3 times in a row, and I gave up on that dream....Well, at least I have TitanSpore to keep me company.

Overall, Spore is a great way to kick your creative mind into full gear, with no limits except for your imagination...

And that damned Complexity Meter...DAMN IT MAXIS

Amazing game complexity and offers a great amount of varied play time. It's an older game, but I'm surprised more companies have not caught onto this type of progressive game play.

Has a few flaws, then again so does every game.

I--------------
Good traits
I--------------

It allows more content for SPORE

You can make your own adventures on your own planet with your own creatures.

More options for your space captain, including a name, crew and even an outfitter.

(This is just from my experience, but SPORE Galatic Adventures crashes less than the normal SPORE does.)

Lets your captain be more involved in the world.

I-------------
Bad Traits
I-------------

Still crashes for me. (Using Windows 10)

You have limited editing when it comes to creating your adventure.

Animations could be a bit more polished

Should have more options for props
I--------------
Overall this is a very fun game and I find myself sitting for hours on end making adventures and going through them, also spending time going through space looking for others or my own adventures. It really lets the player and their creations into the SPORE universe allowing them to become more involved.

Spore is really fun, you get to start life as a cell and evolve up to being super intelligent. Best part is you can customize everything on your creature from how it looks to if its a herbivore, omnivore or carnivore. My first creature ended up looking like some weird pink cow by generation 7 lol.

I recommend buying Spore with the creepy & cute pack and the galactic adventures DLC. But something to note is that Steam has a bug and lists the DLC as seperate games on your library. You MUST install all 3 separately and then run galactic adventures to have access to the base game, the creepy and cute pack and galactic adventures.

Got this on a Steam Summer Sale for $4.99 USD BTW. Just going to throw that out there.

One thing to note: You have to have the Spore core game bought and installed on Steam for this to work.

WARNING: SPORE ISN'T SUPPORTED ON WINDOWS 10 BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK

Anyways to the review:

Spore Galactic Adventures is expansion pack to Spore a game about evolution. In this expansion you create your own adventures. an Adventure is when you land on a planet and do tasks and goals to complete a "adventure". Even with the games cartoonish look, there is lots of stuff you can do with it. Everything is up to you. Now let's get down to the review

PROS:
+ Addicting
+ You can use all the editors from the core game in your adventure
+ Fairly decent NPC AI
+ Complexity always got on my nerves, but this time there's still complexity although it is set really high
+ KILLING INOCCENT CREATURES
+ You can make npcs talk (Chat bubbles, no voice acting) EDIT: Correction there is voice acting you just don't get to customize it. It also sounds a lot like voice acting in the sims: Complete jiberish.
+ Even though you launch it seperatly, you can still play normal spore
+ Lots of customization for adventures
+ Nice UI
+ Easy Terraforming
I will add to this list when I find more.

CONS:
- Limited voice acting. I know they don't speak they just make noises, but sometimes it feels like their not even talking.
- F*CKING BUILDINGS DON'T PLACE ON THE GROUND PROPERLY. THERE ALWAYS FLOATING HALFWAY IN THE AIR.
- Terrible veichle AI. They don't follow their paths and run in to stuff.
- Incredibly buggy. I sometimes get stuck in roofs and just annoying bugs like that. (probably since it's such a big game)
- Can't drive veichles. You can technicly ride them, but really you just stand on top of them
- Can't create you own fixed objects and game mechanics (Gates, keys, stuff like that). You can disguse them as other objects though.
Will add more when I find more.

7/10 doesn't sound like the Pros are better, but they are better. Very fun I would get it if you like spores editors.

EDIT: I am fully aware that it works fine for people on windows 10, but I have been hearing complaints on the community that it doesn't work on win10. This is probably due to the game being old and abandon.

Spawned from an astroid. ate everything in sight, except the herbs because all meat tastes like bacon. Grew one leg and bounced up on land. Murder killed until tribal stage. copy paste until civil stage copy paste until space age. Made a crappy version of the Futurama Planet Express ship. Unlocked terraforming and used it on enemy planet. Started an intergalactic war between all of my allies and the Grox. Grox as dead as my purposfully bad grammar. just now recovering from that playsession that took up 21 straight hours. The end of the space age for me went like this.

“The game’s over. I have all the money. Compare your lives to mine and then kill yourselves!”- Bender Bending Rodriguez.

my time line

-makes shrek best i can

-turns out to be actually pretty good

-starts from cell stage

-uses sporepedia for shrek in creature stage

-top of the ogre chain[food chain]

-gets a brain

-dominates tribe rivals

-even smarter

-makes high tech ogre everything

-takes over planet my swamp in the civilian stage

-ends up as a galactic shrek with a mighty donkey spaceship

-kills grox after 2 weeks lol

-its all ogre now

moral of the story is dont mess with the planet my swamp and stay away from my army of shreks...
then I made like five shrek adventures.... defend the swamp and such on... you can really make anything you want in this game.. you start off in the cell stage and end up as a galactic empire. it takes like 5-6 hours to end up in space but it feels like the close to 3 billion years youre creature lived for... this game is the best time waister of all time :O

ive played a hell of alot more then 2.4 hours... its just bin in offline mode and my hours didnt save... im at 11 hours a day ever since i got it[expansion packs] GET THIS GAME you GAMER, you cant buy the game down here... scroll up and download it[after you buy it]

This ♥♥♥♥ was my CHILDHOOD!!!!! I nabbed the SPORE bundle for $12.99 (my game disks got damaged and the graphics got ♥♥♥♥ed up and couldn't be fixed) during the Steam Summer Sales this year to relive the good times and my nostalgia levels are off the charts already. I only got this game a week ago and I already hav 70 hours invested in this game. It was super addictive back in the day and it still is today, despite the community being a bit...quiet, these days.

Enough ramblings. here are the pros and cons:

Pros:

1) You feel like a god

2) Can make almost anything you want

3) Easy controls

4) Creature Creator's easy to work with

5) A cheat menu is made easily accessible by pressing Contrl + Shift + C and typing in help

6) SPACE!

7) No invisible walls

8) True open world game

Cons:

1) Glitches are frequent

2) You might get randomly logged out

3) Creating adventures is difficult starting out

4) Maxis has abandoned the game, so don't expect any new updates or bug fixes

Created a custom adventure whereby I was chased through a valley by several hundred ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

10/10 would get chased by pink sex toys again.
