This game is lying about having multi-player support
. At least not in the sense that you can actually play the game with a friend. Whilst you can connect and run around, the physics engine cannot deal with it and playing the game properly is impossible.
There are some bugs that are quite funny, such as buckets of bloody water falling over (spilling more bloody water for you to clean up!) or small debris not fitting in the huge incinerator due to awful collision detection. Once the novelty of the bugs wears off, you realise that the multi-player mode is an unplayable mess and you may as well disconnect because playing the game seriously online is impossible.
Recently (5 days ago as of this writing) the developer published the development plan for this game and improved multi-player is not planned at all.
I did leave a comment querying this and I'll update/delete this if I get a response, but I want you to know that despite the game claiming to support multi-player, whilst that claim technically is correct, it's not playable
in any serious fashion.
To the developer's credit (only slightly) the Steam description does mention "issues, especially with network" but that's literally all. Claiming proper multi-player support is a downright lie, particularly given the lack of any plans to fix the buggy mess.
(Disclaimer: I haven't actually played this for a couple of weeks so I don't know if the multi-player has been improved since I did.)
