About This Game

Plague Inc: Evolved is a unique mix of high strategy and terrifyingly realistic simulation. Your pathogen has just infected 'Patient Zero' - now you must bring about the end of human history by evolving a deadly, global Plague whilst adapting against everything humanity can do to defend itself.

Plague Inc. is so realistic that the CDC even asked the developer to come and speak about the infection models in the game! http://blogs.cdc.gov/publichealthmatters/2013/04/plague-inc/.

Over 65 million players have been infected by Plague Inc. already. Now, Plague Inc: Evolved combines the original critically acclaimed gameplay with significant, all-new features for PC including multiplayer, user-generated content support, improved graphics and lots more.

  • 10 Different Disease Types – Master every pathogen; from bacteria to bio-weapons and mind control to zombies, end humanity by any means possible – different diseases will need radically different approaches.
  • 20 Unique Scenarios – Adapt your strategy; scenarios create further challenges for your pandemic – how will you handle a new strain of Swine Flu, or infect a world in Ice Age?
  • Hyper-Realistic World – Strategize in the real world; advanced AI and use of real-world data and events make Plague Inc: Evolved a highly authentic simulation of a world-ending pathogen. Even the CDC likes it!
  • Competitive Multiplayer - The world is unlucky enough to be infected with two plagues, but how will you win the battle for genetic dominance against your opponent? Players get all new evolutions, abilities and genes to help them fight for global control and destroy their opponent!
  • Co-Operative Mode - Two different diseases team up to infect and destroy the world together but Humanity has new tricks up its sleeve to fight back! Work closely with your partner and use brand-new genes, traits and strategies to smash cure labs all over the world before they eradicate you.
  • Contagious Content Creator - Hit the lab and develop your own custom scenarios - creating new plague types, worlds and in-game events. Sophisticated tools support user-generated content to let players bring their deadliest ideas to life and share them on Steam Workshop. With over 10,000 custom scenarios already released - there is always something new to infect!
  • Blinding Graphics - Full 3D disease models take you closer to your plague than ever before, city-cams show humanity's struggle at street level, and the body scanner highlights the full effect of your mutations, organ by organ.
  • Deadly Data - Geek out with stats and graphs; monitor infection and death levels, track government reactions and cure efforts, then review your plague's success (or failure!) with full game replays.
  • And much more... - Including speed runs, Mega-Brutal difficulty and genetic modification... Plus loads of new disease types and scenarios in future (free!) updates.

I bought this game because I had played the mobile version back in 2012-2013. But I was a scrub back then who did not pay for any off the scenarios and played for free but since the summer sale was going on I thought I would pick it up again. I was not disappointed, it is as good as it was 4 years ago. I will be back once I have unlocked all of the achievements and clocked in 100 hours.

Plague Inc: Evolved is an exciting strategy game with many methods and difficulties. There is no single "correct" way to become a life-hating disease dictator, allowing you to try a variety of new scenarios and approaches for each of ten disease types. At higher difficulties, random events can make or break your entire evolutionary course, though not without cause or justification.
Despite the difficulty of certain viruses (mainly the Necroavirus, in my case), I never felt the urge to look up a walkthrough. The game never got frustrating or repetitive, no matter how many times I clicked retry. Each time, I simply had to think harder and try new paths.
Being a science type, I love the non-frustrating complexity that comes into play in this game. There are so many different things to try in terms of symptoms, transmissions, and now scenarios. Even after you've completed each disease, there's so much more to do. Highly reccomend it.

This is a really fun game. There is alot to do with the diffrent types of dieases and they do not feel often repetative and there really fun. When your done with the ones the developers made you can get even more from the steam workshop which are just as good. But overall i very like this game

This is a decent game with quite a bit of content as far as game mechanics goes. There's plenty of upgrades and different pathogens to choose from. The issue comes from one giant flaw in my opinion; there's only one strategy that really works.

The game is basically a race between your pathogen's ability to wipe out the humans, and their ability to cure it. As soon as they notice the symptoms of your disease, they will begin to work on finding a cure. This can happen very early on and the more people you infect/kill, the harder and more fervently the humans will work to cure it. There are in-game "upgrades" you can purchase with your points to slow the humans, but they are laughably under-powered; reducing their progress bar by a measely 5-10% and costing you dearly in points. This might sound like a challenging mechanic to be conquered in an epic battle of wits, but it's not. The gameplay is very limited as far as thwarting the humans or slowing them down, only offering a few one-time-use options for reducing their progress bar. This is in leiu of the fact that should even one of the numerous island nations close their borders before they are infected, you just lost the entire game. This happens VERY often. Unless, as I mentioned above, you use the strategy below.

The ONLY strategy I have found that really works is keeping your disease hidden from the humans by keeping it from presenting with any symptoms until 95%-100% of the population is infected. You then use all of your banked points and flood them into symptoms until your disease is incredibly lethal, and then sit back and watch. If this sounds boring, that's because it is. You are literally just sitting there looking at a screen for 10 minutes clicking around a few times. Pretty dissappointing for a game with so much potential.

I really gave this one the old college try, but it retains its entertainment value for far less time than I spent playing it. $15 is better spent elsewhere.

For such a simple game, Plague Inc: Evolved challenges you from the get go. Putting yourself in the shoes of a "disease" you must learn to survive in the world, by evolving until you become a plague. Only until every single human is infected and dead, you win the game. That is a real balancing act as well. Kill too quickly and you do not infect everyone, kill too slowly and you will be cured. Plus every country around the globe is shutting down air and shipping ports and working fast on a cure! A real challenge indeed!

Plague Inc:Evolved also comes with Co-Op and Multi-Player, so you can verse your friends and anyone else out there in this highly competitive landscape. Just a warning, the Multi-player, was just an added extra and unfortunately is not very active with people. I had a few games and got beaten real easy, but certainly helped me improve my speed in singleplayer. It does have Steam Workshop enabled so you can create your own scenarios and play other peoples creations.

In the end, this game is 90% Singleplayer and a great game to chill out and watch millions of red dots appear on the screen! I really enjoyed the experience, accept for a few achievements that had me going slightly insane! But beyond that if you are not an achievement hunter and just want to experience the fun of this interesting game, then I highly recommend it. It is a morbid take on a strategy game, that certainly puts our real lives in perspective, knowing that a plague could happen at any time in this world.

I give it 4 out of 5 Beers!

Cheers,
Frost

Hey everyone and this is my review about the game!

This is a Calm strategy simulation game.

There is Steamworkshop and you can create your own scenario.

About the game.

You are choosing a disease/Virus and your mission is to infect all people and eventually kill them. You are able to name your own Virus. You start off by picking a country, From there you will have to make a nice infection. You can choose to spread the infection with birds, Rats, lifestocks and other things. Your Virus will be able to evolve (Over time by itself) and become stronger. Getting more deadlier and even protection to yourself. You have to click on the bubbles that will show up (If u want), to gain some more virus points. Which you will be able to spend to make ur virus more deadlier. The stronger your virus, The faster you will be noticed and countries will fight back by developing a cure. You can sell virus evolutions. It's pretty useful if they are useless and wont have any affect anymore. However you will only get a little bit of Virus points back in return. DESTROY THE HUMANITY!

You can name your own virus.
Games are short but alot of fun!
Addictive.
There are alot of different game modes.
There is a Tutorial.
Music is alright.

Other things.

You are able to play this game for free on the mobile playstore. But its a bit buggy sometimes.

How many times can someone destroy the world before it gets boring? I've successfully doomed the human race 50 times, and the game is still as fun as it was the first time. There are so many different diseases, genetic upgrades, and scenarios available that the game keeps fresh after dozens of iterations.

The co-op version is also a lot of fun, but it requires very good communication with your partner if you want to successfully obliterate mankind together.

Pro tip: watch out for the island nations. Iceland, Greenland, and New Zealand are the worst offenders, but Madagascar and the Caribbean have also proven problematic in the past. If you pull trigger too soon, those nations will spook, and close up their harbors, essentially locking you out of the country unless you get lucky with a mutation or special ability.

Oh and get ready for some BS when it comes to the Nano Virus. I've started in Japan (makes sense, right?) and within 3 to 5 days, BOLIVIA has grown concerned and started to work on a cure--because of one infected Japanese scientist on the opposite side of the planet.

Still, the game is loads of fun, and I highly recommend it.

I only have stared to play this version, and it's still really fun to see the world die by my hands!

It has a very great upgrade system and tons of modes that change the way you play.

There's not a doubt that this game is of the mind, and it's rewarding for everytime you win.

I played the original game on mobile, and it's shouldn't be a surprise that I like this version more.
