An extremely fun TD game. Probably the best one on Steam.

The graphics look great.
The theme is fun.
The levels are well built.
The upgrades are interesting and varied.
The achievements are about secrets and overall gameplay, not "Grind this bs level 25 times" or something impossible.
The trading cards are usually worth 0,13€ or so.

BUT THERE IS ONE MASSIVE FLAW:
You don't have a fast forward button due to the engine being shoddy. Due to that the playtime will be padded out with some bs waiting for enemies that will undoubtedly die.

Overall
8.5/10
(Every game starts off at a 5/10 and the grade rises/lowers with the pros and cons that are present in the game)

A classic. I played the online version a couple of years ago and now I am replaying it on steam. If you like tower defense games (and even if you don't like them), this is a must have.

First Tower Defense game I ever got in touch with, I'm glad that it was this particular game.
This game out of the 3 kingdom rush games can be quite hard sometimes but the heroes make up for that by quite a bit, so try utilizing them as much as possible.
The artwork is nice but simple, the jokes are as good(or bad) as in the next 2 games.
Overall great game, worth the money, worth at least a day(24 hours) of gameplay if you're 100%'ing the game.

This is a great tower defense game. The levels are challenging and there are multiple difficulty levels for each stage to stretch your tactical skills. The graphics are hand-drawn and beautiful. The sounds made by the monsters, heroes, and tower characters are all spot-on and hilarious. It's clear that a lot of love went in to making this game.

Works flawlessly for me on Linux Mint 18.

Easily one of the best Tower Defense games ever produced. It's smooth, imaginative, challenging, complicated and fun. It's main strong point is its strategy with simple paths but formidable foes coming from several directions. Your defenses are intricate and diverse with one of the best upgrade systems I've ever used. There's tons of movie references in the clever and well produced voice-overs and the little extras on some levels make it more enjoyable. Colorful graphics, well-designed and challenging levels. The game is also pretty big, and it will take you a while to get through everything. I highly recommend this game.

You'd think fixing tower positions would take something away and yet Kingdom Rush proves challenging and enjoyable.

Just a quick review, having completed the game long ago (before DLC update)

This game is a must have for any fan of the tower defense genre. The variety in towers and their uses works well with predefined tower placement areas and no damage numbers.

Back when I played this game, I suddenly lost my save file even though I didn't uninstall the game (apparently there is a steam cloud save option now) and had a few bugs that made it impossible to finish some levels (I remember a yeti getting stuck, see SS) unless I restarted them and tried something different.

I've played more of Kingdom Rush on my iPad than any other Tower Defense game I've ever played - It's absolutely fantastic.

The one problem with the iOS version was that (as is sadly standard for the platform) it had microtransactions - there was a store that let you buy consumables (for gold you earned in-game or purchased) to use in levels, as well as one-time purchases to unlock Hero characters. The Steam version fixes this, and has no DLC or microtransactions at all - all the heroes are included in the game, and it doesn't even have the consumables store anymore.

The Steam version also includes a bunch of the bonus maps/mini-campaigns added in updates to the iOS version after launch, with the promise that the rest are coming soon in a free post-launch update that will also add a new bonus campaign exclusive to the steam version.

My only small disappointment with the steam version so far is that there's no way (that I can tell) to add a keybind to call the next wave early. There does seem to be some sort of nonfunctional keybind-manager in the game launcher, so hopefully that's something they'll add soon. (UPDATE: This is no longer true - there's now a keybind for this!)

Kingdom Rush is, in my opinion, the best TD game out there, and this Steam release is the definitive version. At $7.50 it's a steal (I can't tell you how many hours I've sunk into this game), and I strongly recommend it to anyone who even remotely enjoys TD games.
