Patch #7 - 7/4/15
A lot of time has passed since the last update. I have been working non-stop on Paranormal's Unreal Engine 4 remake. With this build available, I'm prepared to post updates MUCH more frequently. Please keep in mind that this is still a work-in-progress. Future updates will add more scares, more story, improvements for just about every aspect of the game, and performance optimizations.
Currently this build is only available for the Windows version of the game. The Mac version of this build has some issues I'm working on fixing. It'll be available as soon as possible.
This build requires a 64-bit OS. Windows XP isn't technically supported, but there may be workarounds that I am unaware of.
Remember, the Unreal Engine 4 remake update will be free to everyone who owns the game.
Added TONS of scares (more to come with each update).
Entire house and surrounding property is now explorable.
Added an in-game menu (more settings will be added in the future).
Added an intro scene (will be improved in future updates).
Fixed some attic clipping issues (still not perfect, but definitely improved).
Optimized meshes and lighting.
Added framerate limit choices.
Added custom resolution support.
Added ouija board.
Added cassette tape recorded logs (backstory stuff, will be expanded on).
Removed debug laser beam that showed up sometimes.
Improved weather effects.
Improved camera battery life (though no consequence for running out exists yet).
Added ability to get run over by a pickup truck.
Added a few mysteries in the woods.
Added randomized paintings around the property.
Fixed graphics and resolution settings not persisting between sessions.
Added first layer of tiered haunting system, which is the groundwork for making sure the pacing of the scares will be appropriate.
Added player model for sleeping sequences.
Fixed various glitches too numerous to list (will do better listing what I fix/add/remove/improve in the future).
Added subtitles for the intro scene (will eventually be toggleable).
What still needs to be done?
I have the story's plot and branches all planned out, but not implemented fully into the game yet. The game currently has no plot progression, aside from some backstory stuff and the intro scene. This will be changed in the future.
More scares. Way more scares. And more randomization, both big and small.
More graphics and gameplay settings options.
Improved controller support.
More interaction with the environment.
And most importantly, whatever feedback all of you give me will help shape the game's future.
