This game has about 1-2 hours of content. Build some items and that's that.
There is next to nothing to actually build, no progress tree whatsoever and to counter the lack of content they have just increased the rate of events. Raids or aid arrives basically all the damn time and there is nothing to actually do at all beyond building a few turrets so you're immune to raids. Almost nothing to achieve at all, so you will built at least one of each item the game contains within half an hour.

The research is useless, you will be fed up with the game by the time you have researched two or three items, which you cannot even manufacture, they just "are".

Complete vaporware, do not touch. It looks fancy and has a lot of potential, but don't spend a penny on this until they've actually made a real game out of it. I've played demos that have more content than this. Hell, sneak peeks have more content than this.

Ignore the part of this game being unfinished and abandoned, despite that it was fun.
Now, there is a game breaking bug, where airlocks are awful. Sometimes, when a person steps near an airlock then can break it essentially and whoever was trying to get in will slowly die to asphyxiation, THEN you have lazy builders not finishing the airlock so you'll die before you even got started. I restarted five times, and nothing, nothing works.

I don't know what they did, but after the last 'major' update they broke the game, when I tried using my old base, everything was broken, my reactors, my production, everything.

This was my first base builder game and I loved it, then, double fine did something wrong and broke it, I don't know what they did, but they broke it.

This game needs a way to revert back to an older version so I can play this again, the only thing you got out of this game if you got it early on was a free crappy game to go with your payed game that was broken.

Don't let this discourage you from buying other doublefine games. This one in particular however, was something good, before they broke it.

♥♥♥♥ THIS GAME.

Right firstly i have given this many a try but im sorry iv ♥♥♥♥ING HAD IT.

so you start of selecting where you want to be which is fair enough. So i look about find a place and i go there.

So i get there i build a small room and set some jobs. my two builders are off and away doing good ♥♥♥♥ guys.

Mean while im screaming at my ♥♥♥♥ing miner as he stares at the asteroid i want him to mine. "WWHAT THE ♥♥♥♥ ARE YOU DOING YOU LAZY ♥♥♥♥"... *frantic clicking* "WHY THE ♥♥♥♥ ARE YOU IDLE IV GIVEN YOU A JOB YOU LAZY ♥♥♥♥! YOU ENJOY MINEING DONT YOU YOU STUPID ♥♥♥♥! HONESTLY MATE GET A ♥♥♥♥ING MOVE ON YOUR GONNA DIE SOON." *i leave him to further build my base*

*i came back...*

"YOU'VE STILL NOT DONE ♥♥♥♥ HAVE YOU???? WELL THEN LET ME JUST SEND YOU TO EXECUTION. GUARDS!" *no one was set to security...*

"FINE GO ♥♥♥♥ YOURSELF."

*comes back after a while*

"MATE YOU HAVE 1 MINUIT TILL YOU DIE OF SUFFOCATION! GET IN THE BASE, PLEASE."

*moments later he died because he was too ♥♥♥♥INJG LAZY to save himself.*

dont torture yourself with this game. i beg you.

An abandonware scam, essentially. Double fine stopped work on the game when the money from the initial rush stopped rolling in. Heaven forbid they learn to manage their finances more prudently and move out of ultra-expensive San Francisco offices. Like a financial black hole devouring money vastly out of proportion to the reasonable requirements of a project, it has become apparent that no amount of funding short of a bottomless AAA corporate money pit is too great for Schafer and his gang to squander. No, clearly the better decision is to make bait-and-switch scams like this in between making quirky over-hyped and obscenely over-budgeted hipster adventure games with A-list geek-chic voice talent.

For me, this is the last double fine title I'll ever spend money on. Not that they'll ever learn with so many other people begging to throw money at Schafer for whatever poorly conceived swindle he's got lined up next. "Remember my Lucasarts adventure games and Psychonauts? Good, now shovel money in my general direction to feed my SF hipster pub crawling habit." As with the pathological liar Molyneux, enough is enough.

Unfinished, buggy, and crew members are too lazy to keep themselves alive.

Crew would rather work for 1 hour and goof off for the other 23, before complaining about how nothing gets done and how they are "...the only one who does anything..."

Mid-late game is stupid hard. Security is basically zero, and those who you'd think would be good fighters still die extremely easilly.

Didn I mention this game is unfinished and buggy? I thought it would be going somewhere with the updates, but then the updates stopped, and then did my interest in the game. I haven't played it in a long time, but figured I'd give another warning to anyone who is currently thinking about buying this game.

If you do, put it in your pile of games to give to someone you don't like.

It was fun. then double fine abandoned it in a nearly unplayable state. the AI is too dumb to survive even if their life is in their hands. What i mean is they are building something, they have 30 seconds of oxygen left, and they keep building until they die. also, you do not start with nearly enough resources.
