Not as good as the newest tables in Pinball FX2 but has that old school feel to it.

Well, the missions are "mythical" to put it in words

I'm not a fan of the Excalibur table, though I do like parts of it.

I like how the table seems like it could be a physical table. It's not something a style I like all the time with their tables, but Zen pulled that off very well with this table. The flow of the table is decent, and the theming is a lot of fun. The "Jousting" and "Sieging the Castle" secondary modes are personal favorites.

There are numerous things I'm not a fan of for this table however. The Skill shot is very difficult to determine, and there's a lot of ball movement in loops that are hidden from the player's view. Based on this the cross-shot is exceptionally difficult to make. The sword taking up the middle of the play board forces most shots to be high deflection and splits the table strongly "left" and "right". Because of this, outlane drains are common. Finally, the upper table with the Black Knight and the modes associated with it are both very difficult as well as frustrating.

Overall Rating: D+

As much as I like the King Arthur theme, this has to be one of the least interesting tables made. There are few extra modes, it's overly difficult to accomplish things, and the ball seems just drawn to the outlanes. Also I have no idea how the joust mini game works. "hit the launch button at the right time"
