Skullgirls Patch Notes - 10/23

General
- Pressing Start on a character's color choice will now pick a random color. Thanks Evilweevle for reminding me that I had this on the list. (Highlight character -> Start -> Start.)
- Double color #21, another IGG backer color. O Trin-i-ty, O Trin-i-ty...

- BUGFIX! Fix an obscure issue where under certain conditions the save file might not have been closed on load, leading to save corruption next time. Also make the game automatically load backup02 if the most recent save is corrupted. Maybe this fixes things, maybe it breaks EVERYONE'S EVERYTHING! Can't make an omelette, etc. Special thanks B E D B O Y S.
- Bugfix: If Teams number of rounds is set to more than 1, the last round will no longer use the darker lifebars that Solos uses for a player's last lifebar. 1v1 still uses it.
- Bugfix: Fortune's Cat Spike is not messed up when facing left, oops. Thanks eescell, you are GREAT!

Skullgirls Patch Notes - 10/21

General
- Cerebella 22, another IGG backer color! Oh my gosh, who touched Versa? Alright...WHO TOUCHED MY HAT?!
- Add IPS moves-used display to Advanced attack data in training mode! It's those dots up between the attack data displays. Shows normals used for ground/air, specials as smaller dots, and tag/snap at the bottom. Thanks James Chen for reminding me this would help people. I'm all about helping people.
- Bugfix: Squigly can PBGC reversal with stance moves and her DP again. Thanks Luweewu for pointing out I should have done that a different way. :^P

PLEASE READ!!!
I'm a Christian mom and I found my son playing this game and was extremely disappointed in him :(((. He was kicking, hitting, and doing all sorts of devilish nonsense. There was even a character with the F-word as her name (Which he was playing as)!

So I did the right thing any normal mother would do. I grounded him and told him why he's not allowed to play Fukua: because she is a ♥♥♥♥ing OP character who needs to be nerfed. Skullgirls is the dankest ♥♥♥♥ ever and he's sitting here being a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ playing bad characters that don't require skill. That little ♥♥♥♥♥ needs to catch up on his combo skills because I own his ♥♥♥ everytime as Filia (The REAL Filia, not that stupid green thing). Please spread this around and do the right thing by teaching your kids to play real Skullgirls that require skill and don't rely on BS. 1 like = 1 prayer.

this is a satire review, im not actually a christian mom. im some nerd who plays vidya gaims

Genre - Western Anime 2D Fighting game
I played this on the Xbox 360 and I thought it seemed okay but there was limited characters and a bit too hard and un-rewarding. I have since got it on a Steam Sale and have changed my opinions.
Although I have only played two of the story modes I am very impressed. I put it on sleepwalk difficulty to help with my lack of skill, yes I still lost a few fights near the end! The artwork is nice and each character has a unique story. Two new characters have been added since I got the game and it seems that more will be coming, as there is an active community. There are also achievements to play for and you can compete in a two on two mode. A nice looking unique fighting game, well worth the dosh!

As an arcade fighting newcomer, I can not recall why am I buying this game in the first place. Honestly.

The campaign storyline is a bit rushed and somehow shallow. Even though there are campaign for each character, most of them just the same encounter with another character and same fighting style, with a different cliched scenario. But then again I've never played any arcade fighting before so I've got nothing to compare on the same genre.

The movement controls are poorly optimized for keyboards which is exacerbated when you combining it with attack to create combos. I assume this goes without saying.

Great arts and a fast-paced yet fluid animations are what I fond of in this one, though. So this is not entirely a bad purchase. Heh.

Yay for Arts!

Skullgirls, where do I begin,
Skullgirls is a very strong fighter, the characters are very original, the levels are remarkable and it becomes even better with friends, I would say Skullgirls would be my favourite fighter of all time, don't get me wrong I love Killer Instinct, Mortal Kombat and Tekken, but this game is based on a cartoon style which I love!
As all games do, they have some, just some, minor downfall. For a start most characters are very overpowered, characters like Eilza, Big Band and Filla, it is very hard to fight these characters on mulitplayer and singleplayer if you use an underpowered character, that would be the only downfall to this game otherwise the story is strong with very loveable characters.

Its the best fighting game I'v ever encountered.
When you play this game, you can feel the amount of love and work they put in this game.
Great soundtrack, original characters, hand-drawn animations, good fight system, almost weekly patches.
Altough this game lacks the amount of pickable characters, the other games has, they are working on this issue.
I definitely recommend this game for everyone.

Simply put; Skullgirls is one of the best fighting games you could possibly get your hands on.

Each character is easy enough to use, but hard to master, and you're bound to find the perfect character play style for you. Fortunately, the training mode and the offline AI offers a great challenge to train you up until you're ready to take on players from around the globe online.

Frequent game updates ensure you're having an improved, balanced and enjoyable experience, and the developers are always sure to keep their eyes out for the community feedback.

Regardless of whether you want to play online or offline, with a friend or just against the AI, Skullgirls is a solid, beautiful game with enough to offer to keep you coming back for more.
