Skullgirls Patch Notes - 10/23

General
- Pressing Start on a character's color choice will now pick a random color. Thanks Evilweevle for reminding me that I had this on the list. (Highlight character -> Start -> Start.)
- Double color #21, another IGG backer color. O Trin-i-ty, O Trin-i-ty...

- BUGFIX! Fix an obscure issue where under certain conditions the save file might not have been closed on load, leading to save corruption next time. Also make the game automatically load backup02 if the most recent save is corrupted. Maybe this fixes things, maybe it breaks EVERYONE'S EVERYTHING! Can't make an omelette, etc. Special thanks B E D B O Y S.
- Bugfix: If Teams number of rounds is set to more than 1, the last round will no longer use the darker lifebars that Solos uses for a player's last lifebar. 1v1 still uses it.
- Bugfix: Fortune's Cat Spike is not messed up when facing left, oops. Thanks eescell, you are GREAT!

Skullgirls Patch Notes - 10/21

General
- Cerebella 22, another IGG backer color! Oh my gosh, who touched Versa? Alright...WHO TOUCHED MY HAT?!
- Add IPS moves-used display to Advanced attack data in training mode! It's those dots up between the attack data displays. Shows normals used for ground/air, specials as smaller dots, and tag/snap at the bottom. Thanks James Chen for reminding me this would help people. I'm all about helping people.
- Bugfix: Squigly can PBGC reversal with stance moves and her DP again. Thanks Luweewu for pointing out I should have done that a different way. :^P

PLEASE READ!!!
I'm a Christian mom and I found my son playing this game and was extremely disappointed in him :(((. He was kicking, hitting, and doing all sorts of devilish nonsense. There was even a character with the F-word as her name (Which he was playing as)!

So I did the right thing any normal mother would do. I grounded him and told him why he's not allowed to play Fukua: because she is a ♥♥♥♥ing OP character who needs to be nerfed. Skullgirls is the dankest ♥♥♥♥ ever and he's sitting here being a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ playing bad characters that don't require skill. That little ♥♥♥♥♥ needs to catch up on his combo skills because I own his ♥♥♥ everytime as Filia (The REAL Filia, not that stupid green thing). Please spread this around and do the right thing by teaching your kids to play real Skullgirls that require skill and don't rely on BS. 1 like = 1 prayer.

this is a satire review, im not actually a christian mom. im some nerd who plays vidya gaims

Genre - Western Anime 2D Fighting game
I played this on the Xbox 360 and I thought it seemed okay but there was limited characters and a bit too hard and un-rewarding. I have since got it on a Steam Sale and have changed my opinions.
Although I have only played two of the story modes I am very impressed. I put it on sleepwalk difficulty to help with my lack of skill, yes I still lost a few fights near the end! The artwork is nice and each character has a unique story. Two new characters have been added since I got the game and it seems that more will be coming, as there is an active community. There are also achievements to play for and you can compete in a two on two mode. A nice looking unique fighting game, well worth the dosh!

Pretty fun fighting game with a pre-dominantly female cast, with each character playing differently than the last. The 2D art style is really impressive, the gameplay is smooth, and it's pretty accessible. Not to mention the number of references to be found in this game, from the costumes to the dialogue. If you're looking for a fighting game that isn't Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter, you can't go wrong with this game.

first off let me say that i love fighting games. now that being said let me talk about skull girls. its different. really different. its a good fighter for those new to the genere. the combos and special are real easy to pull off. the artwork and style are well done. those are the pros. the cons are the story for each character is short. real short. like 4 battles short. but when the character roster is about 10 characters (12 with DLC) thats to be expected. normally i do not recommend games i cant see myself getting into long term but this one i will based soley on the fact that it still has promise to be a great fighter and the style alone. i give it a 7/10.

On a keyboard.

It hurts.

I have no idea what's going on half the time, I keep getting hit into 30-hit combos, and let me just tell you...

It's a blast. Coming from Street Fighter where the ground is law, having a 2nd dimension to mess around with (as well as the in-depth air dashing/combo and cancelling systems) is a delightful spark, while at the same time it doesn't delve into the UMvC world of infinites. It's charming, has many waifus, and a BONKERSDICULOUS character roster. Worth the 10-15 bucks if you have any interest in anime-stylized fighting games. Hell, any fighting game really.

This game is a suprise delight. Someone bought it for me, and i wasn't expecting to really get much out of it, but now it's quickly become one of my favourites. I've purchased the game 3 times now (once on xbox, and twice for other people), as well as some merch.

The characters may not seem like much upon first impression, and there isn't a huge roster to choose from (There are still a good few choices), but you'll grow to like them a lot. Each character is unique, and you can tell that the developers really put their heart into giving each character a distinct playstyle, as well as an interesting personality. There's something for everyone. The game itself just feels very smooth and comfortable, and the art style, and animations are GREAT. I've never seen a game that looks as nice as this one.

This is also a great game for beginners to the genre. I am one myself (And by god was i bad when i first started.), only just getting into them recently, and the tutorials in this game were very clear and in depth, and will teach you enough to get started. Of course if you want to be decent at the game you will need to put in more time, and really learn the game. Veterans will love it too. There is plenty of depth, and it doesnt cut corners.

The developers really put a lot of love into this game too, with frequent updates, often featuring new content, and even more characters are on the way. Also, each new character DLC is free for a few months, to thank those that chose to support the game early, so if you buy it now it will pay off.

This is the kind of game that if you put some time into it, you will really grow to love it. If you think you will enjoy this game, you probably will and even if you don't expect to get too much out of it, it might suprise you. In short, if you think you may enjoy it, then buy it. It's well worth the price.

First online match I got 100-0'd because I left a small window.
100 matches and incredible amounts of rage later I still ♥♥♥♥ing love this game.
If you like fighting games, pick this one up. If you don't play Fighters, pick this game up.
It's worth it, trust me.

I got this game when I wouldn't stop bugging my friend about how great it was and he surprised me by buying it for me in a 2-for-1 sale. We both downloaded it and decided to fight eachother for our first match. I chose a character that looked like a cartoon character and he chose a busty nurse. after a bit of flailing around we decided to do the tutorials for our characters. Now months later, we both have our own teams, with our own combos, and our own setup. However, our first characters called Peacock and Valentine still are a huge part of out teams. This game has made our freindship so much stronger because of that one day after school where he picked Valentine, and I picked Peacock.

This is the best figting game I have ever played, and I recommend it to anyone, for sanic boobs and KFC combos.
