It was only a dream, but what now...

+ Advantages:
1. GAMEPLAY /// Starting play, gameplay of game pleases in its simplicity and convenience that allows you to enter into the game without any manipulations with control settings. There is a very good berserker mode that allows instantly detect living targets on screen and inflict increased damage to them, here is semblance of of rage in a dream)
2. STORY /// The idea of game is quite interesting and is able to intrigue along the passage, lined locations directly associated with a phobia of patient and has its own unique population of monsters.
3. DESIGN /// Each location has its unique design and style of decoration, in order to remind us that we are in a dream, there are holes of subconscious and some other things in design that are just not real in life. Examples on screenshots.
4. ATMOSPHERE /// Atmosphere in game turned out pretty a nice and can scare some and not disappear throughout the game :)

- Disadvantages:
1. GAMEPLAY /// Attack some monsters are so good that you are very likely to not be able to escape from the attack, even though you are an addict or oversmoker - to you nothing no help UHAHAHA Long locations and many difficult places on the higher difficulty levels with a bunch of monsters, getting out of the 10th and 11th circles of hell, just to suck your pathetic nerves :D
Strange holes underfoot and escarpments with warm open arms waiting for you, so that under your feet often have to look here and you will not do without kicks by monsters, while you check how close you are, that would fall! And the enemies of the subconscious mode along with the usual enemies are always ready to show Alice that life is not sugar, and full a.s.s :p
2. GRAPHICS /// Spite of all the developmental work of locations, there are plenty painfully angular objects that straining eyes and spoiling the overall picture of game.
3. STORY /// How epic would have not been our goals which we pursue in game - the game ends exactly the way that would be desirable punch out teeth with help keyboard! Coming such a long way, we are essentially left with nothing, and perfectly comes the big question that was useful..

Pretty a good, but suffers small size maps. 2 years later - he is dead. For a long time multiplayer is not addictive.

Achievements of game in Steam:
Achievements well, just mocking, you will have to beat the game at least 5 times, that would get achievements for every complexity and per each mode, which is already starting to create an impression that you a f.u.c.k.i.n.g fanatic who loves a bunch of times to pass the same places.. Rest of the party achievements associated with multiplayer, where it is necessary for their realization stay in game on big time.

Not looking at the pluses, game leaves no best experience. Game on 1 passing and multiplayer special attention no deserve. But the product is quite good as a whole.

A decent game, overall. Nothing elite or spectacular, but not pure drudgery, either. It is in the vein of Serious Sam and Painkiller, so don't expect Halo or COD style gunplay. The story is actually pretty interesting. The game controls well, the graphics are decent, and the music is catchy. Alice talks every now and then, and she shows some wit here and there. The areas that you travel to are interesting due to the surreal nature of everything. There is lots of stuff to shoot, and I like how you can travel through portals to fight on two different planes of existence. However, there isn't much variety in the weapons department, and most of the weapons are forgettable. I was able to make it through the entire game with only the minigun and the hailstorm, so the other weapons were useless to me. There isn't a lot of exploring in this game, either. It's pretty straight forward, with the simple formula of enter area, shoot lots of enemies, shoot boss, then repeat. This game isn't exactly Bioshock or Mass Effect in the story and depth department, but it is a good way to blow off some steam after a long day of work. I'd rate the game at least a 70/100 for what it is - a solid, straight forward, arcade style FPS with an interesting premise and art direction. There is definitely fun to be had with this one. I also like the fact that the protagonist is female, too. You don't see that very often, and I think that it is a nice touch. Perfect for purchasing on a Steam sale.

Awful mouse controls (no matter what the setting is).
Next to useless weapons (especially that electric gun). Only head shots kill them a bit quicker.

Berserk time and that bottom right side meter thing;
Makes no difference in gameplay, even if its full or the weapons have an extra thing on them.

The achievement called;

Lucid Guardian
Complete Story mode on the Insanity difficulty.

Is more torture than its worth (if its even possible). Because no one on Steam or elsewhere could possibly finish this game on the highest difficulty. On the level with those tall winged electric throwing gargoyle things, there are at least 2 red mini bosses. The 1st one I only got past because I spammed grenades at it from a second floor, and the enemies couldn't always auto hit me. But the 2nd one is in a really bad tight area. And all the enemies always hit you. There is no way of doing it. And even before that area and level, its been a torture to go through on the highest difficulty.

The weapons are next to useless.
That electric gun is useless mostly. If you are in a tight corridor and thats your only weapon, just quit or go back for another gun.

The shotgun is only useful if you aim at the enemy heads up close, and sometimes the alternate ice shot.

Minigun alternate fire best aiming at the ground with enemies. And again aim for enemy heads

Sunbeam weapon alternate fire is questionable. Whats it supposed to do? Blind enemies or distract them? It seemed to distract them (though not always). And didn't really help when trying to get past the impossible said above.

Its nothing like Serious Sam. And the only relation to Painkiller is the (slower) minigun alternate fire rockets.

Its one of those games that Steam folk and whoever couldn't sell. So they do it via those "Steam sales". And poor sods like me end up buying it. Especially when it was before these reviews were allowed on Steam - There used to be only recommendations on these store pages.

I just can't recommend this. This is the most sluggish arena shooter I ever played. Weapons are lacking of kick, and levels are really uninspired. Just get one of the good Painkiller or Serious Sam games.
