What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Early Access allows SNOW to reach its audience sooner and improve the core game through community feedback.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“SNOW will remain in Early Access until it launches fully after the Open Beta period. At that point SNOW will be nearly feature complete with all intended content and gameplay available to the users.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of SNOW will be a more complete experience having player progression, competitive game modes and a fully-featured multiplayer experience.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

SNOW is currently in Open Beta. This means that many features are still in development and the game's controls and core gameplay have not been completed.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“SNOW will transition into a fully free-to-play game during the Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“SNOW's community feedback is a key component to SNOW's development. Especially in this early state, understanding what features the community wants in SNOW will shape it's long-term development.”

Removing SNOW from Steam Inventory

A few people have asked us if they could remove their SNOW inventories from their Steam profiles, and until now it hasn't been possible.

We've now set up a system for this.

If you wish to have your inventory hidden from Steam, please send an email to info@poppermost.se, stating that you want your inventory hidden and with your Steam profile url in it.

The Steam profile url looks something like this: steamcommunity.com/id/poppermost but has your name instead of poppermost.

Please note that this will prevent you from trading and using the market. You can still play the game.

Literally the polar-opposite of boring (NOT A PUN).
The game freezes up a lot though (AGAIN, NOT A PUN) - definitely an early access game.
I think the main reason it's addicting is because it makes you feel a whole lot cooler than you really are (... NOT A PUN).
I always get really frosty when I land on the snow perfectly, but then continue to sink and die (... ok fine they're all puns) :P

After you close the game it will remain open in the background and chug your pc. It was taking up 38% of my cpu and I had no idea until I tried to launch another game on steam. Asides from that, gameplay itself also chugs like a frat party and sometimes funnily buggy, at best. Overall, doesn't look that good but runs like ARK. Gameplay is meh. The real reason to play this game would have to be exploring the level design, but I personally don't want to do that through 15-framed lenses. Wait, no-

Crashes like crazy and there is ridiculous clipping between the snow and your skis/board. Definitely an early access game.

At least its free to play?

Get the game.
Its free-to-play so it doesnt hurt to get it anyway.
It obviously has the qualities of an Early Access game so it has its bugs. Sometimes you have to restart at the open screen if it doesnt come up with the credits, after some events it will restart the game. However, if you can look past the tiny bugs then this game is a super cool snowboarding / skiing game.

You can do events, time trials and free roaming. Level up to get in game coins and buy stuff. It's such a chill, beautiful game if you can look past your derpy looking character.

8/10 recommend.

Fun and Addictive. My only complaints are the game is a little glithcy, but in a funny way. The controls are a little weird to get used to. Also i think the game needs more maps. But besides that, it is a very fun game.

Great game can't wait for it to be finished. The graphics are stunning and the open world is beautiful. The dlc is a bit pricey but there is enough to do without it. Also the control scheme is a little weird on keyboard and mouse but with a controller it is awesome.

TL;DR at the bottom

SNOW is one of those games that you just got to love, exploring the mountain with friends and finding amazing places to ski down and doing trix or make up an Impromptu race on your own.
Being an open world game penefits the game alot, the problem with alot of skiing games is that you start at the top and when you are down at the bottom of the hill, you have to start a new session or restart at the top.
Here you can just go and return to the top whenever you want.
Yes the game got a lot of glitches and some things like the spawning must be corrected, as it is now some random player can spawn on you and accidentally kill you. I would love to see a "only allow friends to spawn on me", And when they do spawn they should spawn a few feets behind and not directly on top of you. The game is still in Early Access so hopefully they will correct all the problems.

TL;DR:
Like Skate3 but on skis.
