Total rubbish. I payed 10 dollars for a game that at best doesnt crash when booted,at avreage crashes at lobby and has 10 servers who have a very presistent amount of 0 players.
If you put a game on a sale for 3 dollars less than a two months after its release shows how it sold before that.

If Sonic 06 was a shooter it would be rekoil. This has got to be one of the worst games I have EVER played IN MY LIFE! Most games that are bad you can play and have a laugh at how bad they are with you friends but this game is so bad that you can't do that because NO ONE PLAYS THIS ♥♥♥♥ING GAME! I'll go on this game and there will only be 4 people playing IN THE WHOLE WORLD, and thats on a good day. Most of the time there are 0 people playing this game. Ya wanna know why? ITS ♥♥♥♥!

The animations in this game are really bad, and were talkin worse than Dino Horde here. I'll kill someone and he will do a backflip and die, and I only shot him in the head with a rifle. How the hell am I supposed to find this ♥♥♥♥ serious when I see a dead body glitching through a wall while he vibrates like a ♥♥♥♥♥. Also when you reload your gun, its so lazy and such a bad animation. Your guy will take out the mag on the gun and then put the same mag in. He does not pull out a new mag, he just puts the same one in. He takes it out, holds it underneath the gun for a little bit, then puts in back in, just downright lazy.

The graphics look like they were found in a trash can. I know they said they were trying to get to classic shooter feel, but you could at least make the game look somewhat good. I know graphics don't make a game but they do play and important role, first immpressions. would you rather want to be friends with a clean, well dressed, and sanitary person? or would you want to be friends with a smelly, gross, dirty person? Yeah, thats what I thought. You never know though, the smelly person might be a better person but first immpressions people...

All of these guns fell the same. They all of no rekoil (oh the irony) and they all have a fast fire rate. I swear the pistols are all reskins of each other, they have to be. At least the rifles and smg's are somewhat different but the pistols are THE ♥♥♥♥ING SAME, THE DEAGLE FEELS THE SAME AS AN M9! The only weapon that stands out from the others is the rpg. Oh god is this ♥♥♥♥ over powered. The rpg shoots a rocket that 1 shot kills everything. If you are on a small map like subway with an rpg, the other team is ♥♥♥♥ED. Also when you beat a game and the scoreboard is on the screen, it's there for a long ♥♥♥ time, at least 3 minutes. Does that remind you of something? DING DING DING! SONIC 06 LOADING SCREENS!

If I were to rate this game I would give it a 1/10. Hot. Mess.

I don't normally write reviews, however my feelings on Rekoil are so strong that I feel compelled to do so.

I first heard about Ricochet (or Rekoil as it would become) when the game was first being muted on the old Crosshairs podcast. The initial premice sounded exactly like something I would be interested in. A return to a pure and uncluttered PC FPS, designed with the community in mind. It would have some of the most respected CoD 4 modders working on it. Guy's like Sam a.k.a Joker {eXtreme}. Creater of the eXtreme mod for CoD and the man largely responsible for the inclusion of the AC130 in MW:2.

My hopes were high. However, after Crosshairs went off air, I lost track of the game until I saw it appear on Steam. To my detriment I had not closely followed the development of the game and had no idea that Joker had left the team well before release. Having now played the game, I think I understand why.

This is a bad game, pure and simple. In my opinion, the game was not even finished when it was released. Whilst the numerous game breaking bugs are slowly being patched, the terrible core gameplay design and mechanics can never be sorted.

At this point the servers are a wasteland with almost no-one playing, and if you do find a populated server, chances are it will have a ping of well over 150ms.

I hate to say it, but don't waste your money. With the exception of a couple of decent maps, this game has nothing to recommend it. A sad end for something that could have been great.

It was important to give this game a fair review on launch. I was not thrilled with the beta. I really hoped they had used the extra time to fix the game. All they did was hope the negative publicity would go away. Most games have a big boost of players at launch and then trickle off. This just launched and there is a total of 60 players online. YES, I said 60! not 6000 but 60!!!!!!

The game plays as though it was made on a $30 game program. It is stripped down of all real FPS components. There is no teamwork , skill, or dedication required. It is billed as a "Back To Basics" shooter. That is true if B2B is the first Doom. If you want B2B go play Insurgency. This is only B2B in the graphics and playability. You can have a retro game that still uses modern technologies.

I feel this was lost in translation and lacks anything that makes this enjoyable. The movement and combat mechanics are just bad. This is a multiplayer only game and there just isn't anyone online to play with.
