Två berättelser, två karaktärer, en fantastisk upplevelse: i Memoria färdas spelaren genom olika tidsperioder och följer två tydliga protagonister: Sadja, en prinsessa från södern som vill bli krigshjälte och Geron, en fågelfångare som vill lyfta en förbannelse från sin flickvän. I spelet kombineras peka-och-klicka med unik magisk skicklighet.

Sadja, en prinsessa från södern, vill bli historiens största hjälte – genom att gå in i och lyckas i det största kriget Aventuria råkat ut för: Mages krig utspelas mitt i en obeboelig öken.
Protagonisten Geron lever nästan 450 år efter det stora kriget. Gerons älskade Nuri har förvandlats till en korp av en hemsk förbannelse. Geron måste, för att hon ska bli människa igen, få hjälp av den mystiska köpmannen Fahi, som äger magiska krafter. Men Fahi vill bara hjälpa Geron om han går med på att lösa ett pussel som Fahi har sett i en dröm. Sökandet efter svar leder snart till en räcka av händelser som binder ihop både Sadjas och Gerons berättelser, och hotar att förvandla nutid till en ohygglig återspegling av en sedan länge glömd förgången tid.

Memoria kombinerar klassiska peka-klicka-äventyrsspel med funktionerna hos The Dark Eye, ett av de mest lyckosamma RPG-universum som fantasy-världen känner till. Äventyrspussel i peka-och-klicka-genren har utvecklats genom att magiska funktioner lagts till – och klok, talande personal. I åtta kapitel kan spelaren styra både Sadjas och Gerons öden, oavsiktligt interagerande med varandra, och överbrygga mer än 500 år. Kapitlen i Memoria har rik grafik, fantastiska platser, en spännande fantasy-berättelse och unik pusseldesign som skiljer sig åt i de olika kapitlen.

This game was just as fantastic as the prequel. Some of the puzzles were a bit more obnoxious (the tower/crystal puzzle), and almost thought I was stuck in a bug once but luckily it wasn't. These games remind me of the longest journey, with surprises at every turn and an immersive story. I'm just sad that it's over... it was shorter than Chains of Satinav.

Don't start this game if you haven't finished The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav yet !

This sequel is really worth being played : same gameplay and characters (and some more of course), indispensable if you want to know what happens to Geron and Nuri. Few more hours in this fantastic universe and the same emotion at the end of the game ! DO play it !

Wonderful immersive game! The voice acting was very good and the story + artwork were interesting enough to keep me delighted throughout the whole thing! The puzzle aspect wasn't too hard, but at times it left me thinking for longer than I'd like to admit. Would definitely play again!

Sadja al-Kedir is magnificent.

Seriously, I really love how it all ties together, and how the resolution throws a different light on everything that has happened.

The characters are varied and diverse, with their own different traits, backgrounds, goals and motivations.

Sadja is a princess, fiercely ambitious and bold, calculating yet terribly reckless - you just really have to play her story to get the full experience of this amazing lady;

Geron is literally an unsung hero, he is underestimated (somewhat justifiably), has a selfish streak and can be dense, but he has his extremely lucky moments of ingenuity and resourcefulness, few though they may be;

Bryda is the perfect mage student, top in all forms and classes, anticipated by senior academics for great things - but she is so very dissatisfied by the current state of magic - obscure, mundane and highly unexciting;

Yet, ultimately, they share a few common themes: desperate determination and loss. And that really shines through, by the end of the story.

Not to mention, it's really super to have characters who have their non-white cultural roots clear to be seen in their personalities and actions, while not falling into roles reflecting exoticism. Characters that stand out from the cast, nonetheless! And are not all-good nor all-evil! Huzzah!!

I really hope there will be more games with such good writing!! I hope daedalic will produce more games featuring characters of Sadja's ilk!!

The story in the game was extremely immersive and well designed, I devoured it whole during three very long gaming sessions where I simply could not just stop. Another shining star of this game was beautiful hand drawn graphics and interesting characters. That is the strong part of the game and I will definitely reccommend it to everyone.
However it is also important to mention some of the drawbacks I encountered. Puzzles were okay, but I found them too obvious or plain ridiculous, only a few were somewhere in between that left me with a warm feeling of accomplishment. The game also glitched a lot on my few months old high-end PC. And for the last thing, I don't understand in general achievements in a point-and-click adventure game. Seriously, why ? Such games don't have a replay value ... or at least not right after I finished it. Okay, I can forgive that, but at least after finishing the game I would like to go and get those achievements. Unfortunately, no. I can only start all over or use only my own saves (which I dont have many since it is an adventure game). And yeah no jumping to chapters. Nevermind, the negatives of this game are more or less insignificant, so do yourself a favor and go dive into the Memoria story !

Absolutely stellar game with amazing detail and story. Very very few games have made me care so much about the characters within the story and Memoria hooked me in with ease. As the sequel to The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav, it greatly improves upon the animations and the thought process of puzzles. However, there might be a few puzzles that will seem like complete BS to you and you wouldnt be wrong. It might require you to think outside of the box and have some determination. If you can i would recommend playing Chains of Satinav before this so you can know the background of everything.

Beautiful and unpredictable story about love and adventuring

Cons:
Some puzzles may take some time and frustration
