“Generously stuffed with player-made emergent moments on the battlefield and an incredible sense of place, Verdun is not just a great take on one of history’s more marginalised wars, it also happens to be a resoundingly solid shooter in its own right too.”
9.0 – Gamewatchers - John-Paul Jones
“I became immersed in its careful pacing and focus on squad movement.”
Gamespot - Cameron Woolsey
“Verdun's given me an excellent understanding of what a mess World War I was. Verdun's Frontlines mode really is sort of ingenious—and I think this is definitely one worth checking out, especially if you're already interested in the subject matter.”
PCWorld - Hayden Dingman
Different from other FPS on the market , being slower and more tactical than most. This makes it a rare bird , which like a few, but not everyone . An interesting title, but that did not take off in most of its sections.
No game has ever captured the feel of trench-based warfare as well as Verdun.
Much like the conflict that the game shares its namesake with, Verdun is a ferocious and tense multiplayer shooter the likes of which we haven’t seen in a long time. Generously stuffed with player-made emergent moments on the battlefield and an incredible sense of place, Verdun is not just a great take on one of history’s more marginalised wars, it also happens to be a resoundingly solid shooter in its own right too.
