Never before has a game broken my heart, shattered my hopes and dreams, made me contemplate becoming religious and will me to expell multiple body fluids at once in a quell of rage AND made me want to come back for more.

Shy away mere mortal, you are not ready to challenge the throne.

Interesting game, i really like Rogue-Like, but i have to say that after ~20h i'm getting more an more disappointed and frustruated. I played The Binding of Isaac a lot, and compared to Nuclear Throne, i can simply say : it's WAY more fun.
Nuclear Throne really is not fun. It's way too hard and i have my share of hard games!
I can't pass lvl 5-X, i mean after 20 hours you'd think you'ds get better and maybe at least once reach the final boss ? But not in Nuclear Throne! You'll have to learn how to play with 1 character, have the best combination of abilities (and they have nothing fun about compared to TBoI where you have a hole-lot of powers and weird possibilities to beat your foes ; here, you have to be so, so careful (even about your own weapons and abilities) that they will eventually kill you.

I know the standard of this game IS that it's hardcore and skill-oriented, but i think as a pretty good player in most games but a not patient one, this game is really not worth playing 1XX hours or more, because it's just not funny and it's just trying desperately to beat the game while playing 100% of the time as hard as you can instead of enjoying it.
Furthermore, there's not much to unlock (as i see it) since i've unlocked only 2 characters and 1 useless skin after 20 hours while in TBoI i'd have already unlock maybe 20-30 items or so..

I play this game to pass time because the parties are pretty short (let's say between 5 and 30min) but i can't say i'm enjoying myself in this short duration.

I don't know if the devs plan to decrease the difficulty a bit or not, but if not i think i can say that i lost my money here.

I found this game surprisingly compelling. I certainly did not plan to put as many hours into it as I did. It is fun, difficult, and surprisingly deep.

Hotline Miami's procedurally generated brother.

Simple controls, excellent atmosphere and music, and a lot of fun humor. Did I mention the copious amounts of shooting and mayhem? I can't make it past the third levels, but I keep coming back for more because the game does everything well.
