What can I say...
If you have the money = play it
If you dont = dont play it
well, actualy, lets not get ahead of ourselves. This game is actualy realy fun even without the extra powers. I have spent quite a bit of money on this game (50 EUR to be exact) and I just keep coming back to it. I cant stop playing it. Ill have played it for 5 weeks, then delete it, and come back 3 months later, itching to play more. If you like DC, you will like this game. Dont worry about "expansion packs" (DLC) as you can get to maximum level without it. I would give it an 8/10 "good game"
All in all its worth playing. Is it pay to win, YES, but arent most free MMOs pay to win. Exatcly.

If your looking for a review on this game you've come to the wrong place, but if your looking for an outstanding lemon bars recipe you've come to the right place.

Ingredients:
1) 2 cups Flour
2) 1/2 cup Sugar
3) 1/4 teaspoon Salt
4) 2 sticks (1 Cup) Salted Butter, Cut Into Small Cubes
5) Filling
6) 1-1/2 cup Sugar
7) 1/4 cup Flour
8) 4 whole Large Eggs
9) Zest And Juice Of 4 Medium-sized Lemons
10) Powdered Sugar, For Sifting

Directions:

1. For the crust: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9-by-13-inch pan with butter.

2. Stir together the flour, sugar, and salt. Add the butter to the bowl and use a pastry cutter to cut it all together until the mixture resembles fine crumbs. Press into the prepared pan and bake until golden around the edges, about 20 minutes.

3. For the filling: Stir together the sugar and flour. Crack in the eggs and whisk to combine. Add the lemon zest and juice and mix until combined. Pour over the crust and bake about 20 minutes.

4. Allow to cool in the fridge for a minimum of 2 hours, then sift powdered sugar over the top before cutting into squares.

(Use an 8 x 10 pan if you'd like the layers to be a little thicker.)

Its pretty clear this game wasn't designed for f2p
However alot of things can be unlocked permanently, but with pay currency.

Pros
  1. Pretty Fun combat: It's a pseudo action mmo, it falls somewhere between WoW and TERA fighting styles. as in you have action combos and controls, but its single targeted.
  2. Some starting powers are really strong, you do not need to buy anything to be powerful.
  3. It is not hard to reach the level cap, doing the story missions and a few sidequests can easily get you to the 30 cap in a few hours I did it in like 8.
  4. Character voice acting is good, even though the dialogue is completely cheesey
  5. The weapon combos are balanced, however the powers are definately not.
  6. the character customization is fine, you have to lock your cosmetics to prevent your gear from changing the costumes. New costumes appeareances are unlocked when you pick up gear that has them, they drop often; and sets drop in particular areas.
  7. The community is fine, I haven't had a negative experience
  8. The servers can actually be decently full

Cons
  1. The major one is the DLC restriction for alot of end-game content, almost all the instances/raids are paywalled; and the gear required to raise effective level come from instances.
  2. Certain power sets are really strong, and no they aren't just pay ones
  3. The story for heroes is fine, but for villans the dialogue is really cartoonish and can be a chore to sit through.
  4. Alot of typical features are locked behind a pay currency wall, it wouldnt be bad if the pricing was lower but it's pretty obscene

    TLDR;

Pretty good game, would get the most out of it being a subscriber tbh. Play for free if you like it, if you enjoy yourself drop 15/month till you tire of it. I could not recommend buying everything individually, that would be rediculous.

The game is not good.
Now, having said that, I will say this as well.
The game's combat system is good, if not intuitive or easy to master at all.
For the hour+ you can spend on character building, not a lot of your customization comes through into gameplay.
Pay no mind to my time spent playing, as I put in over 200 hrs outside of steam.
Overall, being free to play, if you want to try it out, go for it. It's free. But you probably wont love it.

I used to really like this game. Leveling up used to be a fun experience.
The graphics were really nice, character customization was excellent, and the voice acting was superb.
But the DLCs. Oh my god the DLCs. They never end. They never stop coming. It's like they give you a cookie crumb and it's the most delicious cookie crumb you've ever tasted so you want more. They are holding the rest of the cookie and offer you another crumb of it for $15. So you pay the $15 for the first DLC only to realize half of these powers are exactly like the last power set you played only with a different skin. But what the hell maybe I'm just imagining things. Then the next DLC comes out and you want to taste that delicious cookie once more. You pay another $15 and make a new character. Yadayada yada I'm tired of leveling in the same zones with the same quests that have no replay value. I'd rather go read a book or something. So you decide to try some end game content with your level 30, only you can't because there is none unless you buy all the DLC. Little did you know the 2 DLCs you bought didn't actually come with any end game content that people actually play.

Pros:
Game looks nice 5/5
Voice acting 5/5
Gameplay 4/5 at first

Cons:
The game is a sample of a bigass cookie that is sold as DLC crumbs
Over 9000 DLCs
DLCs DLCs DLCs
More DLCs
Interface was mostly terrible with very little options
Did I mention DLC?
Lots of grinding
Poor power design
Harsh caps on everything
What's this? Another DLC?

It has a nice big world, but also classic, boring, slow mmo action, along with some bad P2W features ensuring you have even less fun as a free player

Ok game not the worst I have seen. It has combat system that i like because It's interactive and fun but open world pvp is weird. Basically the game wants your money with all these DLC's kinda like Payday 2. Customization is ok but notextensive as I wanted. Getting max Level only takes few days of straight grinding quests. And queue-ing for missions is kinda a drag but the missions are pretty cool. Wouldn't recommend buying most of DLC because it's pretty expensive. As a F2p I recommend going for Nature so you can transform into a very fast dog or gorilla. If you want to pay I recommend the green lantern DLC that gives you green lantern if you're good side and yellow if you're on the villain side. Red lantern DLC is pretty good too I guess. Pay to enjoy lol You cant even have a superhero hideout unless you buy DLC. Solid 6 out of 10 a game is a game.
