Thank you once again for patience and have a nice time with a game.

We are still here!

Due to the upcoming merger that our company will be going through we are temporarily halting the sales of Haunted Memories: Episode 2. Please don't worry, it doesn't mean that the game will be removed from your library or that the development stopped. We are working with twice the strength to provide upgrades, bug fixes and improvements for the game.

About the Game

Every time we wake up on the other side we have a small chance of falling in to never ending dream. Honestly – which side is the true one? We wake up in our beds, but is it possible to remember second awakening?

You remember well what you have done in your dream, what happend, who was there and what was your goal or desire. Yes, but WHEN you have woke up? When you have crossed the barrier? How you have entered that world and why it often ends in some sort of tragedy, that pushes you out? The only thing that left are memories of dream. Shattered memories, Haunted Memories.

Now you have a chance to visit this haunted realm consciously, but you have to be warned. Remember – once entered, can’t be left. To the very end of your sanity, all six episodes of Haunted Memories are going to show you that sometimes darkness leads to light.

"Haunted Memories” series covers following episodes:

  • Episode 01 : Haunt - AVAILABLE IN EARLY ACCESS MODE (Stable release: 22/11/2013)
  • Episode 02 : Welcome Home - RELEASE DATE: 1/3/2014
  • Episode 03 : Lonely Twins - RELEASE DATE: 3/14/2014
  • Episode 04 : Understanding the Past - RELEASE DATE: 5/16/2014
  • Episode 05 : Trying to Cheat Darkness - RELEASE DATE: 7/18/2014
  • Episode 06 : Saved Fool - RELEASE DATE: 9/12/2014

Key Features:

  • Reveal past, present and future of your fate
  • Meet others who have fallen into the realm. Help them or condemn to eternal dreaming.
  • Discover what really happend to Mark Slender and why he let you out from his nightmare.
  • Explore immersive world directed in 100% by original „Haunt” team. Each episode will take you to next fragment of Jacks memories. Green Park is only a vestibule to Slender family residence and true fear of main characters.
  • Breathtaking visuals and audio design.
  • Episodes are divided to „Collector” and „Adventure” types. Each provides unique gameplay elements, therefore both of them meets in one place: you always have to survive and watch your back!
  • Old-school combination of puzzle and action elements forces you to think, run, feel or even kill. Sometimes you will have to do all these things at the same time!
  • OST complemented with tracks from „Fruhstuck” discography!
  • Stay in darkness…
  • …or live and lead to Light.

I tried. Really, I did, and I'm a typically patient and stubborn person who will play through just about anything. So, when I tell you to avoid this game like the plague, I mean it. There's a constant lag regarding the controls, both for movement and for camera control. It's very difficult to see anything. You can hold down Shift while moving to run, but that just causes the camera to bob around causing serious motion sickness. There's a "being" person thing that apparently once you see him you die, but no explanation regarding him or how to avoid him. If you're going to download the free episode 1, you'll enjoy the 2 minute opening and the general ambiance, but beyond that, good luck keeping any interest in this game at all.

I will never forget Haunted and how fun of a game that was. Then this game came along and made Haunted more fun. The developers updated the game and changed the scenery to something cool. They made this game fun with the elements of Slender being more animated and being a bit of a troll at some times.

Then there came the update.. They put a new episode and made more action. You can see your character now, there is a girl in the television that gives you a key and stuff. It is fun up to a point. That's where this game becomes unbearable and more of a horrible troll game that no one likes playing.

What I am talking about is that you don't have to go to a hard difficulty to experience the constant teleporting every two minutes. The constant Slender flying everywhere and the super low stamina you have. Even the flashlight is horrible and adds no advantage to the game at all.

Now you have to constantly backtrack and backtracking to your previous position, after every teleport, is impossible because when you are almost there you just get teleported at a random place again.

The changes to the bunker being blocked off and all the cutscenes makes it worse than before. Even blocking off the tower until you find out how to open it up, is just asenine!

The game also has many bugs that need to get fixed and my game has no sound at all. I do not recommend anyone playing this troll of a game until the developers use critical thinking skills to make the game useful again!

Personal Rating: "Don't Bother"
Traditional Rating: 3/10
Genre: Free to Play Crap

Well that's a first - 20 minutes into the game and I immediately disliked it so much I uninstalled it. Where to start - well it's free so if you don't have anything else pressing to play then go ahead but be warned it's just another stupid take on Slenderman and if this was going for scary well I might have dozed off from boredom so I can't really tell you.

You play some anonymously badly acted Scandinavian dude who keeps getting chased by some insect looking take on Slenderman. Problem is the game telegraphs every encounter from like literally miles away and all you need to do is turn around and wait for him to vanish - yup I almost crapped me pants there turning my back on insect head. Ooh terrifying! It also appears as if the main protagonist suffers from emphysema, as a simple walk will induce bouts of heavy, heavy breathing.

Considering the graphics are nothing to shout home about, the game (even though I was getting more than 30fps) is sluggish and slow and it feels like your character has been mired in molasses as he walks. I thought I would give it a shot, I have and I have now uninstalled it. Far more better things to do with ones time.

As I browsed around the store for games that cost less than a penny (like the cheapskate that I am) my attention was caught by the Haunted Memories logo and the fact that it was free. I clicked on it and was immediately astounded by its amazing graphics from the screenshots; amazement that only grew as each image flashed into my screen with every passing second. A horror game with superb graphics that was free? It must be too good to be true. I mean, free?
So i downloaded it into my hard drive and thirty minutes later I was on the main menu of Haunted Memories, listening to that great piano medley. I immediately went to the settings and modified them so that they would all be at the least demanding options for my computer (which isn't really that great; decent, but not that great). I went to episodes, selected the first one, and then dived into the game. The first thing I noticed was that the graphics were as good as they were advertised (even in the lowest settings). But there was a problem. There was lag, and it wasn't pretty. I began to think of the reasons that could cause this and remembered that I still had some processes opened. I closed them all and proceeded to start again. This time the lag was greatly reduced, but it was still there. A small price to pay, I thought. I reached the car and grabbed the flashlight but alas, I needed some batteries for it. Good thing there were some on the table next to the typewriter! I took them but, what's this? The light won't appear!? As I tried to shine my light everywhere, I found that no bright beam of energy would be dispelled from my flashlight that day, or ever. Strangely, it only worked on the leaves, but why would I want to see the leaves? A small price to pay, I thought again and began to play the game without a light source. Everything went well except for the lag. It was annoying, but not enough to make me want to quit (I stared directly at the ground or the sky most of the time, thus less lag).
And then I started teleporting. The first time it happened I asked myself what that was. Maybe a side effect from getting too close to Slendy? So next time I proceeded carefully, watching my surroundings like a hawk. I teleported again. No Slendy in sight. I began thinking of other possibilities. I remembered there was a U-vision in the achievements list. Could it be that something I couldn't see was causing me to teleport back? Like a ghost or something? As I approached the end of the game, not a single U-vision, or anything similar to that name, was ever found. And the teleportation continued, "God, what was that!?" That is perhaps the line most frequently seen in the entire episode (As a side note, when I looked around the internet to see if there were other people complaining about this or if I was just having another episode of paranoid psychosis, I found that there were A LOT of people complaining about this feature. The creator's response? "We think it's a cool feature ;)" It most definitely is not a cool feature and when it happens every twenty seconds, along with the lag that comes with it and Slendy frequently getting in your way, each tentacle holding a stop sign as he chases you away from where you want to go, it gets annoying fast).
But what did I tell myself? A minor price to pay! Actually at this point I wasn't sure anymore. But my curiosity was intrigued and I needed to know the end of it (mostly so that all my pain and suffering was not for nothing). There were a few other bugs along the way, like the spots were you get stuck and can't get out. Personally, I found two: One on the first set of stairs inside the inn (If you stick too close to the kitchen wall) and another at the end of the right wall on the outside of Restryct B (there are reports of other locations but I can't say I found them).
And then, I reached the final location. As I moved through, Slendy appeared out of nowhere and killed me (I guess this is what he does if he catches you? I don't want to know why they decided to give him tentacles in this one...). Well, good thing I saved right before entering, right? I load up the game again but when I spawn I see that the gate is closed. That's strange; I saved after I placed those three items in their rightful location to open the gate. I go look at the spot I placed them but find that they are not where they should be. Maybe they went back to my inventory? I check but they are not there either. Umm...what? It turns out that for some bizarre reason, if you load up after you placed those three items, the game breaks and you can't finish it, since the gate remains closed. My last save before that was on the other side of the map so it wasn't that bad (it took me 15 minutes to get back there though. The constant teleporting, the lag, and slender getting in my way made it almost impossible; but it was mostly due to the teleporting).
I was about to quit, but I convinced myself to continue by reminding me that I had to finish the game. For Gondor. I enter the final area and am constantly teleported back, but I don’t give a damn and tank through. Nothing is stopping me this time! Then bam! I reach the end.
Tears start flowing down my face. “I've done it! I've finally done it! It was not in vain! IT WAS NOT IN VAIN!!!" I click on the final piece of the puzzle and wait for the end cutscene. 5 seconds pass. Nothing. 10 seconds. Nothing. I click on it again just in case. Nothing. I start to laugh, hoping it is all a bad dream. Minutes later I find out that you need all the pieces of the puzzle, which I obtained, to finish the game. But I did get all the pieces! I leave the final area and go to where the pieces are, and lo and behold: there they are. Frustrated, I click on it but find that it is not disappearing for some reason (like other items do when you pick them up). I click on it again but it stays there, mocking me. I load a previous save and return to the location with the piece, but still I cannot pick it up. The game cannot be completed. At least in my case. After that I decided to play on “easy” to rush through the story, but midway the same bug occurred again. I couldn’t pick up a piece, thus making the game impossible to complete.
And there you have it. If all these bugs, the lag, and most importantly the teleportation don’t scare you away then give this game a try. It could be a good game. The ambience and the 'puzzles' are there, but the bugs and the lag make it really hard to finish. I wanted to finish the game. I really did. I hope the creators fix these issues soon (though it is unlikely since rarely do creators go back on a project once they start working on others). If you have a poor computer, this game is not for you. If you have a descent computer, this game is also not for you. If you have a $2000 computer like my friend does (you know who you are, you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥), then this game might be for you. Just be aware that slender won’t be the one scaring you on this one. It’s the bugs and glitches you will be afraid of (for me it was the never-ending teleporting back…back…back…).

I am really really REALLY disapointed of this final version of the game.
I played the 0.9 version and I loved it...
I played the 1.1 version and I liked it...
But this one... is just disapointing.
There was some points I didn't liked in the 1.1 version, but here it's worst.

First they're a lot more bugs in this version than the last one:
-Scraps you can't grab
-Getting stuck between rocks
-falling to death after getting stuck on barriers while you just tried to jumps over them
-Characters appears while they're not supposed to be here
-Getting stuck in the Death camp after you loaded a game in it. (because the door is closed and can only be opened from the outside with a code)
-and a lot more I forgot...

Another problem: this game is too clear.
You can easily play without using the flashlight... EVEN AT NIGHT TIME!
and becaus the game is too clear, you can spot Mark Slender 5 miles away from you... and you can also see everything wrong about the graphics.

The 0.9 version was a lot better about that.
It was dark, blurred, is was hard to see a thing and it was really hard to progress without the flashlight.
this is why we needed to save our batteries... to not end in the dark.
I was a scary part of the game...

Here you can see everything, and Mark Slender never really surprises you.

Oh and one more thing.

Trere is ONE thing I want to be DELETED from the game... or at least seriously fixed...
The teleportation.

The game just teleports you way TOO MUCH back to where you were minutes ago...
I don't know if it is a bug... of if it is just random...
But seriously... the game teleports you back too much... and I mean too f*cking much...
At my first try of the game, I got teleported back to the top of the tower 6 times in a row!
I tied to get down (witch takes about 4 minutes) and the game just telepored me back to the top... and so 6 times...
I was my first try, and I ragequited because of this...

Ragequit on a horror game... how is that possible?

When I play this game, I'm not even scared about Mark Slender anymore... I just afraid to get teleported miles backwards and do the same way over and over again...
The teleportation is even more aggressive than Mark Slender.

So if it is a bug, I want them to seriously fix it. And if it's not, I want them to DELETE it... because it just ruins the game...

Now of course this teleportation thing was in the old versions... but it happened rarely... and you got telepirted a few feet behind you. So it was ok...

I finished the 0.9 version.
I finished the 1.1 version on very hard!
and I can't even finish this one on easy!
I don't even want to try to finish it anymore.
And I disapointed about what this game became...

But... I won't unistall it... because I know making a game like this is really hard... and requiers a lot of work and patience.
So I'm gonna give the developers a chance to fix the game.
I really hope they will do something about all the problems I talked about here.

I won't recommend game now... but maybe one day, this game will be fixed.
I really really hope so... because I loved the old versions.
