the part where you have to take down a prison bus with your raid monster. it's so hard and rage enducing than any other event. the police is unfare and the prison bus driver is so unfare and the fact that the bus can go over 80 mph is fake and unfare and I'm surprised that it hadn't tipped over yet. please change the difficulty slightly to reduce the chance of me breaking my controller and my keyboard.

My girlfriend bought me this as a birthday present, and I feel really bad for letting her buy it because I can't even play the game. First, Ubisoft is screwed up in the head with the minumum and required specification. (Minumum processor is the same as the recommended processor, and some of the video cards that are listed in the additional notes most likely wouldn't even run the game.) Second, The Crew can't run if you are using any recent hardware, in this case for me I'm using a Intel i5 640 processor and a NVIDIA Quadro K1200 graphics card. I played The Crew on Xbox One that my friend had and I really liked the game, it's really fun to just drive around and get money and buy new cars, but I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone who has a high performance computer.

Great game, lots of cars, different classes etc. The game is fairly well optimized, and the graphics are stunning. The map is also huge. The bad things are, for this game to be fun - you need to be connected to the internet. The Crew is one of those always online games, and if you take that away it becomes quite boring.

This game will annoy you and hit every single nerve. You have been warned.

For easily driving around with all freedom in the world, this is it. For a realistic game get NFS.

What I just said I did not just say lightly. I like this game, I do. But in the 5 hours I have played this game so far (In one sitting) I have been so insanely upset and happy at the same time, I still don't know what to feel.
You might ask now: What? How's that possible? Should I buy this now or na?
Well, let me get to that for you now:

If the game is on sale, YES. Get it. Own it.
If not, then don't waste your money.

(I paid 30€ for the Complete Edition and I do not regret it.)

The first thing I can tell you is the handling is something you will HAVE to get used to. I played Need For Speed 2016 before this, so I was used to something more accurate. But the Handling in this game feels so heavy. Too heavy.
But taking curves is fairiyl easy and makes fun.
Offroad it is really easy to slide around corner and get overtaken by AI in every single race, but on the street it's much more difficult to steer. Irony, right?

The handling in this game isn't great, that's obvious. But it's not the worst, either. After 5h I have gotten used to it and no longer get upset because of it. I'm sure if you get into the game even more you won't even notice it. It sure as hell doesn't make the whole game bad though.
Depending on what vehicle you use, the handling should change, but it doesn't really. Even lighter cars still feel heavy. Bikes on the other hand feel much more comfortable and I actually prefer riding them.
The drifting is great though, offroad and on the street. No arguments.

Like I said, I played NFS2016 before this, and I can tell you something now.
If you want a realistic racing game, that challenges you in every turn, is accurate with every car and requires skill and thought, get NFS. It's not just the realistic graphics and models, but the insanely good handling and difference with every car. It requires you to sit down and study it. It's Need for Speed. There's not much more to say, I loved it.
The Crew on the other hand is different.
It's not as realistic, the graphics are lower and the handling is a lot different.

So, why should I even consider The Crew over NFS? Both MP and SP and both racing games.
Well, no.

NFS is good, really good. But like I said, it needs time and liking and skill. It's not something for everyone.
While with The Crew you don't need to worry about your Computer Specs or low framerate. No need to study the game and learn how to drive every corner. Also; you can specialize on off-Road or Dragrace or whatever.
In NFS, you can't.

I like the Crew because it's a game for everyone. You can costumize your cars to whatever your prefered style is:
Dragrace, Drifting, Performance, Street, Offroad, Monster Trucks, etc. In NFS, it's just street racing. But it's perfect.
You see?

Need for Speed is the ultimate Racing game because all you do is Race.

In The Crew you do much more. You can specialize your vehicles and try different kinds of races, different spcialized enemies and upgrade them accordingly.
The little challenges on your way help you improve your Parts and even get your amazing stuff for finishing it. Whenever you ride a road with a challenge twice, you always do the challenge. No matter what.

NFS's tuning is detailed and thought through. You gotta see what parts fit and earn them.

In The Crew you literally get them thrown in behind you. They fit your vehicle.
And this is great. You can level easily and get good parts without having to win any races.

Now, Pro's and Con's:

Pro:
- Huge World
- Specialized Vehicle Costumization
- A lot of Vehicles
- Bikes
- Easy to get into
- A lot of small & big things to do
- The sounds are actually good and don't cause earcancer

Con's:
- Not too good graphics
- The god damn handling
- AI
- AI
- AI
- Did I mention AI?

Now, AI. Yes, yes, yes. I HATE IT. Why? let me explain to you, my friend.
So, in the beginning I chose wisely what veicle I chose and what parts, coming from NFS and all. I was always high in points than my opponents. My car was much more advanced. I did so to win easily, of course.
But the AI didn't care. My car: 210 Street level. Theirs: 150. AND YET I ATE THEIR DUST. Seriously, at level 20 you can have the best gear, the AI can be low, you will have to play multiple times a single god damn race because the AI just takes off, and you start with no Nitro and they do.
Plus, the traffic AI seems to be out for you, always stopping for the enemy AI, but never for you.

There is this one Offroad race that I had to play 7 times, because the Mini copper had infinite Nitro and just blasted away. Had to hit him into a tree to win. #Tactics.
And that shouldn't happen. The game can be so frustrating, it's annoying. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, it really gets on your nerve.

Oh, you need to hunt down a car? Here, let me change lanes from the left to the right without indicators, so I drive right into you. Aw, that car is almost down with 20sec to go? Let me give it infinite nitro so you won't be able to catch up.

Yes, the "ram this vehicle to kill it" missions are unfair as ♥♥♥♥, because they are always faster than you A lot.
I had to learn their route to get them. #TacticsNr.2

But despite all of that, I worked through it and I have to say: This game is good.
Not the "YOU GOTTA GET THEM ALL"-kinda good, but it's good. You can play it.

Getting the entire game, plus Season Pass + ALL DLC' for 30€ was a really good deal. But I wouldn't pay more for this game.

Ending:
This is a good racing game with specialized cars and certain terrainracing for everyone. It's simple to mod and easy to get parts. The graphics are alright, but at least it works smooth on medium PC's. MultiPlayer is great, but no worries, Singleplayer is a lot of fun, too.
For a -once-in-a-while-online-racing-game where you don't have to put a lot of time in, it is amazing.
For a NFS-like racing game, it's not.
If you see something challenging and realistic, not annoying, buy NFS 2016.

If you just wanna drive around, offroad, drag, drifting, get this. The Crew.

8.7/10

And watch out for that grey van. It's always standing around corners or on streets. It doesn't move. It will find you and kill you.

I am a wheel/pedal/shifter user and this game supports wheel hardware extremely well. I own and play a large array of driving games and racing simulators so I have high expectations for car handling fidelity. For example, in Dirt Rally every vehicle physically feels and handles very differently. From acceleration to the suspension, cornering, and the feel of terrain. This is true of R3E, Automobalista, iRacing, Project Cars, etc. These games incorporate a physics system that heavily influences the stimulus felt from the terrain and car, as well as damage physics from collision. This game is fairly devoid of a genuine physics system and most cars feel very similar. The handling is bland as are collisions. Terrain types have little impact on how the car feels when considering these other games as standards.

I would really enjoy driving some of the cars from Dirt Rally in this game’s world because it is the one feature that is outstanding. Weather, size, detail, and terrain. But, unfortunately the beauty this world has to offer will render no climax because you’re behind the wheel of a thick condom.

Its a standard NFS(need for speed) game. I wouldnt say its straight arcade style but its not a simulator. Works well with steering wheel/pedals/shifter combo and if you have those items, you can feel the sim part of it while driving around the open world trying to decide what race style your in the mood for and it seems they have a vehicle for everyone with the ability to upgrade performance and looks. Enjoy online racing? You will probably enjoy this if you do.
