i have bought the crew complete edition but when i went to play it i only had the demo so i wasted 53 dollers which is not very good. i have seen videos of this game being played and it is so good looking but on pc it is not what i expected which really dissapoints me because i had been saving a lot of money for this game and now its all wasted.

the game is ok... i would have liked more tuning options for fine tune performance. to give you that little extra like forza motorsport. great open world. cars are a bit to sidely and arcadey but that just me. i m more for a simluation car game person. NFS underground 2 and Forza are the only games that have stood out for me.
but i ll recommend this game to car game lovers out there whos looking for online open world car game with medium customsation

This is a superb arcade racing sim. Besides the wonderful graphics, and cheeky easter eggs that can be found everywhere, the immensity of the map makes freedriving a pleasure. I've racked up far more time just driving around than actually doing missions and pvp. There is a very large array of the finest cars in the world, which need to be tuned to perfection; although that doesn't necessarily mean that when you max out your car's parts you will have an unbeatable car. PVP is where that definition is put to the test.

I don't really like multiplayer games, as they often bring out the worst in people, but I do like playing PVP in The Crew because if you can handle your car, then you have an equal chance of beating any player. Ubisoft should be congratulated for resisting the pay-to-win agenda many publishers turn to, to make a quick buck. Indeed, there are cash cars in the game, but again, they aren't supercars that can destroy all unpaying comers. They are just treats. Like the McLaren F1, which is a beautiful car, but that's it. Put it against the Zonda, and it will run very close; it's a shame they didn't put the Bugatti Veyron in, as then I could relive one of my favourite Top Gear episodes: Veyron vs McLaren

The only problem is a major bug; and I mean major. About 90% of the time when I enter the garage to tune a vehicle, the game will crash. This is maddening, and really screws up the enjoyment of the game, as you often try to avoid going to the garage at all. It's a pretty critical part of the game, as the parts you collect for your car are very delicately weighted against every other part. I'm trying to work out if you can build a much better car by slow grinding from lower levels, rather than just pay for a level 50 part. This takes time and concentration, so when you're analysing your parts and the game crashes, then you reload and can't be bothered, or too scared, to go back into the HQ. I've found if you go into the HQ when you first load the game, the game does not crash with such frequency. But who wants to go to the HQ when you've just loaded the game? Rather you go the garage after racking up a load of parts and then want to compare one against the other. Maybe if Ubisoft patched the game so you could tune your vehicle outside the HQ; the system is technically there in options, but you can't compare parts outside of the HQ.

Although this is a massive negative for the game, it does not spoil the enjoyment of the game itself, as there's so much to do. Hone your skills against your friends. Play missions, PVE, Factions Missions, and the PVP arenas of course. Again, I usually shy away from PVP, as this often brings out the worst in people, and if you leave collisions on, then you will quickly run into those people. There is also a trend of people's to harass drivers they encounter by ramming them continually, but, if you can handle your car, then you will not have a problem escaping from these morons; and I think this is just loser rage. In other games this would be a good reason to rage-quit, but I don't mind it so much in The Crew, because if you want the best, you have to beat the worst; and I usually always get the better of them on a circuit track with collisions turned off; and believe me, that's a satisfying feeling, especially if they rage-quit after the race XD

Yes, this is truly a game I can't get enough of. So thanks Ivory Tower for a great driving experience. And please, don't shut down the server any time soon :)

This game.. sucks ! I am so disappointed. The NFS series are waaay more better than this one.
The visuals are ok, but the sound, yuck.
A game combination of Test Drive Unlimited 2 and NFS, wich is a big fail.

Cons:
-Time wasted to download this 20GB game.
-Third party uplay ♥♥♥♥.
-Windows updating relating problems.
-Can't start the game. ("The Crew has stoppped working")
-Hours of searching for solution- failed.

Pros:

I don´t really understand why there are so many people complaning...

The Map is huge, not a joke like the super-tiny NFS Maps who were always too small to have a real racing/car-game feeling.
The graphics is quite good given the size of the map, even though it looks somewhat generic the most time.

If you want a car-themed game with a lot of space to cruise around with real cars, this game is for you.
The only real downsides I found were some pretty annoying missions in the main story.
Yes, there isn´t much to do after reaching LVL 50 and completing the main story, but is this the only thing important?

Cant say anything about PVP, never did it.

Compared to some other Ubisoft Games in 2015/2016 this game is quite okay.

This game has a huge map and that is awesome for a mmo car game, but the storyline is only about 30 to 40 hours long. There are pvp lobbies where you can race with others but they are on full upgraded cars most of the time and the only way you are going to beat them, is when they crash in the race. Cars are well detailed and there is a incar view, some cars you can only get if you buy their dlc which is expensive (drift and drag races included in dlc)

I don't think this game deserves that much negative criticism, I really like it, it's one of the only games of this type. The problem is Ubisoft's dodgy practice. The game has 1 expansion pack(at time of writing) and a few more DLCs. I own the very basic version, no expansion, no DLC and I can say that the after-game content is pretty lacking, all that is left to do is re-do some story missions to get better parts, do faction missions, pvp and that's about it without the expansion.

Just don't go in expecting a ton from this game and it's ok. The story makes no sense and the characters talk WAY too much but just driving around with friends is pretty fun. I got the game on sale, I'd never pay full price for this.

I enjoy this game immensly, its a great game. great graphics, great fun to just drive around and explore.

HOWEVER, I bought the gold edition when it came out, which included the season pass. but DIDN'T include the Wild Run DLC. which, frankly, is stupid. almost ALL new actual content, that would keep me playing the game for things other than just driving around, is in Wild Run.

Dropping more money into a game to get something that should of come with the season pass is just discusting buisness practice. though, we all know how much to expect from ubisoft.

however, don't let that prevent you from enjoying what is, actually, a really good game. I still manage to have hours of fun in it, literally just driving around exploring the absolutely MASSIVE map. even after I think I've driven around the whole thing, I have still missed spots. And you get a few good hours out of the story, so what I did buy was worth it, even without wild run.

I would buy Wild Run if you were getting it now though, because thats where all the stuff to do is.

I would recommend this if it wasnt for the fact you cannot reset your career and Ubisoft have refused to address this since release.

+ cruising around on a big map can be fun with some ppl
+ theres a ski jumping hill that you can jump off :)

- only 7 players at any given time in this MMO racing game
- bad sound design, NFS most wanted 2005 has better sound, alot of the sound is just recycled ( dodge viper, chevrolet camaro, ford mustang or gt have all the same engine sound )
- at first it had graphics like NFS pro street, now they updated it and it looks almost like grid 2
- bad singleplayer, it just booring
- multiplayer is chaos, the players are constantly lagging around, so you cant have collision on cuz you will get hit everytime
- the map is too big, empty and nothing to do in it ( it should be smaller, so they can ramp up the graphics )
- theres no weight to the handling feels like playing a toy car
