About This Content

Europa Universalis IV: Conquest of Paradise is the first expansion for the critically praised empire building game Europa Universalis IV, focusing on exploration of the new world and the Native American nations.

The expansion allows you to send your ships off to the west and discover a new world, unlike any you’ve seen before – for the first time in a Paradox Development Studio game, you are given the option to discover a completely randomized American continent.

Conquest of Paradise also offers the possibility to play as a Native American nation and master the federation mechanics and national ideas that are unique for the nations.
The age of exploration is brought to life in this epic game of trade, diplomacy, warfare and exploration by Paradox Development Studio, the Masters of Strategy. Europa Universalis IV gives you control of a nation to rule and to build into an empire that lasts through the ages.

Main Features

  • Discover a new world. A randomized New World means that no playthrough will be the same. Establish colonies to reap the riches, trade with the native tribes, or conquer them and take their land for yourself.
  • Colonial Nations. Colonial Nations will be created out of larger colonies.
  • Manage colonies or play as the colony. The colonies can manage their own affairs, declare colonial war or even strive for liberty from their motherland, or you can choose to take direct control of the colony and play as the new nation instead.
  • Expanded Native American gameplay. Native American Nations have their own new federation mechanic, unique ideas and buildings and can migrate to greener pastures. Conquest of Paradise includes over two dozen Native American nations to play as well as new events and decisions.

2nd dlc focused on new world. I have nothing to say they should have upgraded their ex-dlc instead of releasing another one addresing same problem. Paradox is steering to your wallet.

THEY SHOULD WATCH OUT AGRESIVE DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT AMOUNT.

My respect to this amazing serie reduces day by day with their messed up policy

Great dlc that's worth it.

Wish it was optional to create a colonial nation rather than being forced to establish one.

Not much use if you don't have anything to do with colonising or natives but is worth it when you do.

After being a long time fan of this series, I am dissapointed in the new direction they are taking with this product. The goal now, is to simply monetize every single aspect of this game, and make it unplayable unless you buy all the DLCs... This is unnaceptable Paradox.

For example, they patched the core 'vanilla' version of EU IV, to add a 'region development level' feature to the game. However, you cannot actually raise the development level of a region, unless you buy another dlc called "Common Sense"... Really!?! Why are you forcing this feature onto the vanilla version, if you need a dlc to fully play it? Pardon the pun, but it makes no sense.

Paradox is essentially going back, and making a game you bought in the past, unplayable. It's sad how how patches meant to fix bugs, and add positive features to a game, is now purposefully breaking it so you have to pay more money to fix it.

To quote Game of Thrones, SHAME!

Enabled Random New World and screwed up Columbus.
10/10 would prevent Natives from being slaughtered again.

The Indian nations still feel rushed and un-finished. There are only a handful of new events, although it is fun with the migrate option. You have to love passing turns.

The randomized new world is a fun spin on the game, and is quite interesting to play with, although it could be improved a bit. (My wish was granted, it was improved significantly.) Federations are interesting and a unique addition to the game, and the migration mechanic is an interesting addition to the game. And I would say that playing as a colonial nation is probably the best part about this DLC, it is very fun to do. I would recommend getting this DLC for EU4.
