About This Content

Chivalry: Deadliest Warrior is a massive expansion pack for the best First-Person Slasher, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare. Featuring competitive online combat that seeks to capture the experience of truly being on a medieval battlefield. Inspired from the intensity and epicness of swordfighting movies such as 300, Gladiator and Braveheart, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare aims to bring that experience to the hands of a gamer.

And now Chivalry: Deadliest Warrior will bring the most iconic warriors from the ancient world, epic new environments and all new game modes to the already expansive base game content.

Every environment is an iconic homeland of one of the warrior factions. Fight in ancient Greek temples, kicking people into pits as a Spartan or run along moonlit roofs as a Ninja in a bamboo forest. Who is the DEADLIEST WARRIOR? Its time for YOU to decide.

Key Features:

  • All new classes including: Samurais, Spartans, Vikings, Knights, Ninjas and Pirates
  • Faster, more diverse game play makes Chivalry 1st person melee combat even more intense
  • Each warrior has a unique arsenal and abilities, which promotes more variety in play styles and forces players to adapt their strategy to the situation.
  • All new weapons and animations
  • 6 new environments, playable in many different game modes
  • New Game mode "Multi-team" - up to 6 teams at once!
  • Track your skills and stats in the new player profile screen

This is Chivalry: Silly Edition. In a good way.
I die repeatedly and laugh. I get my ♥♥♥ kicked everywhere, and it's funny.
For some (if not most) That will put you off. For others who already bought it and didn't like it, you'll scream 'unfair, unbalanced and buggy'
Yeah it's buggy, and mass brawls in this game get messy, and some low life ninja will hit you in the back while you're facing 2 angry spartans.
But nothing will bring a smile to your face quite like 12 angry samurai screaming 'dishona to famiweeee' while sprinting into a crowd of vikings

This DLC had a potential to be amazing, but instead it failed miserably. Gameplay is unbalanced, everyone are using cheap tactics and OP weapons. Having multiple teams and classes on one map was a stupid idea. Servers are laggy and there is no custom battles to set up for playing with friends or bots. I really see no point in playing it, all you will get is frustration. The only positive thing I can think of is an option to mute chat, whoever made it possible deserves a raise. Fanboys can down vote me as much as you want. It is my review and your opinion is irrelevant. Save your money and perhaps check out the standard game which is only half good, but don't get me started on that. I'm out.

EDIT: Before you say "omg u have 0 hours hurr durr" you should know that Steam keeps hours track only of the standard game, and not the DLC itself.

When Deadliest Warrior came out, I stopped played Medieval Warfare. It reminded me how fun Medieval Warfare was when that first came out. It's a lot of fun, and It's challenging.

There are no in game micro transactions (which Medieval Warfare started to introduce, and any game that does that immediately loses my interest). The developers have not (or at least i haven't noticed) changed the gameplay or unit balances, again something they started to do with Medieval Warfare.

if you have Chivalry, you must buy this too.

I never liked the medieval theme but i wanted a game based around hacking ♥♥♥♥ up. There are not as many maps in this DLC compared to the Base Game and there are no objectives (based around FFA and TDM) this game has a lot more classes which offers a lot more variety, and this game is more fun.

I’m sure some Chivalry apologists will come to Deadliest Warrior’s defense. But it’s not about how the critics need to “learn to play”. Between all the problems - imprecise and buggy hit detection, numerous bugs and exploits that have yet to be fixed, the incompatibility with the original game and the complete focus on deathmatch - Chivalry: Deadliest Warrior finds itself surrounded by an armada of bad, lazy or rushed design choices. I’m sure it can offer some occasional fun for you and a large group of friends to start your own server and play against each other, not being too competitive about who kills who or who wins. But that argument can be used to defend any game, good or bad. Torn Banner abandon most of the concepts that made Medieval Warfare so fun for so long, and trusts that Chivalry’s combat alone is solid enough to keep players entertained. Sadly, Deadliest Warrior is proof of the opposite. This is not an expansion, it’s a contraction.

2.5/5

An utterly broken mess of a game that takes everything that was good about the base game and turns it on its head, introducing new bugs and glitches, downgrading the server quality and having been more or less abandoned by the devs (long standing known exploits which the devs have failed to fix means you can expect to see people glitch outside the map on Fjord almost every match, for instance).

The expansion's combat mechanics are fist-clenchingly, rage-inducingly broken and follow little logic from the base game. Terrible hit detection and an even worse spawning system result in almost every death being a cheap one, with little you can do to improve next time. The sense of learning is largely overshadowed by cheap and nonsensical game design.

There are 2 or 3 classes that overpower the rest, and 2 or 3 loadouts that are abhorrently, brokenly OP.

This was a cash-in with the Deadliest Warrior TV show. That should tell you something. Torn Banner made a few skins on their already existing game for little effort and cashed in a nice check from the Spike Network.

In my short time with the expansion I also witnessed 3 hackers (I assume there are many more, if it was that easy to find these in the 3 days I played).

It will be fun for the first few hours while you unlock stuff. After that it's all downhill FAST. I hope I don't get tempted to touch this again and I hope you don't either.

I'm not usually this critical, having been able to find value in even Chivalry: Medieval Warfare with all its glitches and other problems. But oh boy, if you thought Medieval Warfare had problems, wait 'til you try this one! (Just don't).

The Spartans are extremely insincere in their apologies. Quote: "I'm doarry! You shoulda ducked!"
There are Vikings which is great.
Allot of Spartan fanboys which isn't great.
