About the Game
Known as the Turbostar, the Class 170 DMU (diesel multiple unit) was built between 1998 and 2005 and continues to serve across England and Scotland on regional and suburban passenger services. With a top speed of 100mph thanks to all cars being driven, the Class 170 also proved capable of longer journeys, and altogether 122 sets were built. The Class 171 is identical apart from having Dellner couplings rather than the BSI type found on the Class 170.

3 Scenarios:
- Network Addition: A new train operator has started running a service from Didcot Parkway to Birmingham New Street that calls at all stations to Oxford. You are rostered today to drive the service as far as Oxford where there will be a crew change.
- What could Have Been: It’s 2010 and the somerset & Dorset Line is still open. Class 170s operate frequent services along the route. Today you will drive a service from Templecombe to Evercreech Junction on a stopping service.
- South of the Border: After arriving in Durham from Edinburgh and FS Class 170 3-car DMU has had a crew change and you are to take it back to Newcastle. This train is a trial for the Class 170s to to work on this section of the East Coast Main Line.
