Why this DLC sucks:

Wtf, dlc to add music ingame?
Wtf, dlc to make the game better at level 1?
Wtf, dlc is p2w?

Why it doesn't suck:

Oh wow, music!
Oh wow, better start!
Oh wow, it's only £0.99! (Sorry, me only know englando)

Finally, why you should get it:

You prob got the game free when they were giving it out, £0.99 isn't going to hurt your wallet. (Me englando only...o)

very good add on.

the randomized starting gear adds variety to the early game and the new soundtrack is really good.

the only problem is the soundtrack isn't implemented in game, but that is easy to get around with steam's in game music player.

overall for the price it is totally worth getting for anyone who is a fan of the game.

The music has to be played by Steam and the tracks are very similar to eachother. But the guns and random starting gear option is pretty good.

I don't recomend to pay full price for this DLC. The content is of good quality, the extra starting guns add a lot to the game, and make it a little easier if you are new. The music is nice and fitting. Still:
  • Music is not implemented in game. You get five tracks you can lisent to while playing, decent quality, but just five tunes that won't change depending of the in game situation. You might as well lisent to any other thing that gets the vibe of the game.
  • The extra guns are fun to play and imaginative, but hardly worth a price tab imo.

Bottom line, get it on sale or not at all.

There is no music in the game and I love music so this was a must have for me. I also really enjoy the random weaponry option, it adds a lot of replayability for me.

The only negative is that the music doesn't play from the game. You will have to play the music in the background on windows media player, itunes, or whatever you use. Just adjust the music volume so that it fits with the game, set the tracks on shuffle (optional), and set the tracks to repeat then you are good to go!

Not having the music actually implemented in game is kind of amateurish, I wouldn't recommend this at full price.

(Yes you can play the soundtrack in the background, but it covers the game's sound effects. The music itself is pretty decent.)

No one has really explained what this DLC gives in terms of the weapons so I guess I'll be the first one.

This DLC Contains two things:
-A soundtrack that goes with Teleglitch's gameplay
(And as you have obviously found out it is not implemented into the game)
-And a few starter sets for beginning @ level 1 other than just the 9mmpst1 and RDX_250 x4

What this DLC really does to your actual game though is this:

Adds a randomized starter set when you begin at level 1. (This can be toggled off)

With each of these sets comes a new backstory on what the character did right before.

These sets are acutally unique and quite useful, especially in the beginning.

Set 1

griffon :
5-shot revolver made of gold and titanium.
A financial asset and self-defense measure combined.

- 5 shots/mag
- Semi-Automatic
- High Rate of fire
- Extremely High Velocity
- Near perfect accuracy
- Uses Revolver ammo, thus high damage
- Thus instakills small enemies

&
RDX_250 x1

Set 2

sdcc :
Self-defense credit card equipped with a taser.

- 20 charge/mag
- 50 starting ammo total
- Almost identical to the actual taser, except you can get this one at level 1

chocolate :
The last box of chocolate on the planet.

- Practically a medkit40 -> you get to begin with more health at the player's disposal at level 1

Set 3

vlong john :
The Very Long John
Antique elephant rifle, uses heavy rifle bullets

- 1 shots/mag, however -- vv
- 31 starting ammo total vv
- Reloads faster than the actual heavy rifle shoots
- Very High Velocity
- Near perfect accuracy

&
RDX_250 x1

Set 4

fatjohn :
The Fat John
Antique two-barreled hunting shotgun.

- 2 shots/mag
- 22 starting ammo total
- Very low spread (lower than the shotgunx2)
- Extremely High Rate of Fire
- Same velocity as the shotgun & shotgunx2
- Quick Reload
- Uses sshells

&
RDX_250

Set 5

pinkdeath :
20mm self-defense weapon optimized for heavy armor penetration
at point blank range. Uses heavy rifle bullets.

- 2 shots/mag
- 32 starting ammo
- Fast Rate of Fire
- Lengthy Reload
- Inaccurate as the Revolver

&
RDX_250 x1

Set 6

powerlegs :
Powered leg supports that increase your speed.

- As stated it increases your speed
- The increase is ~200%
- Outrun practically all enemy types (Especially on level 1)
- Normally crafted on higher levels w/ uncommon items

&
chocolate (explained in set 1)
RDX_250 x1

(Despite the lack of a starting gun, this is the most useful in my opinion (and as stated in its backstory))

Set 7

sspoon :

Silver Spoon
Jewelry-edition sport rifle made of silver and optimized
for sharpshooting. Uses mg bullets

- 10 shots/mag
- 40 starting ammo total
- Moderate/Fast Velocity
- Fast Rate of Fire
- 100% Accurate

Set 8

dynamite x5 + x1 :
Historic explosives from the weapons museum.

- Half the strength & visual size of one RDX_250 on the floor
- 38 maximum self-damage

&
chocolate (explained in set 1)

I'm not going to explain the backstory for each set because that would just spoil the entire thing.

With this information you should be able to decide on your own without my opinion whether you'd enjoy this DLC or not.

Lastly, this DLC is just a small and nifty kind of thing. Anyone that creates a heavy on opinion on whether this DLC is good or bad is just crazy.

SMART-♥♥♥ REVIEW: From the developers who implemented an eye-stabbingly awful visual interface for artistic style: An official soundtrack for Teleglitch that is not implemented into the actual game. "I like to put my pants on my head," says a developer affiliated with Test3 Projects. "The belt keeps the blood from escaping my head, and when it gets windy, the pants help me pretend I am a bunny rabbit better."

ACTUAL REVIEW: The game doesn't implement the soundtrack, the soundtrack is kind of bland, and the randomized starting gear is boring. If you really want to throw more money at this game, why not just buy more copies to give to other people instead of encouraging developers to come up with lazy DLC garbage like this by purchasing it?

Spent a couple of hours in this so far, with an Xbox One controller, and it's freakin' great! Methodical and high tension gameplay because of ammo scarcity and permadeath. A creepy setting and cool visual-style that grew on me - especially the use of lighting works great. Great punch to the gun-feeling and well thought out sound design gives it a notch upwards too.
Duder, you gotta try this!
