Compared to the original game RainBlood, the current version on Steam is in violation of the right of ethnic Chinese players.
Developed by a group of chinese developers, RainBlood Chronicles: Mirage is a side scrolling action game. However, after its release on Steam, the publisher, the Origo Games, has removed the Simplified Chinese interface built inside the game originally. The officials claimed that it is to protect the benefits of the domestic publisher in China, but I think, within such circumstances, they should have locked the store district in China, instead of removing the Chinese language.
They did it just because the Origo Games had misunderstood the overseas market of this game. They didn't exactly realize that the ethnic Chinese and Chinese students who study abroad are the largest target customers of this game. They should have the right to play such a game with Chinese language; nevertheless, their right has not been guaranteed and respected until now.
For this game, Origo Games has presented a totally unconcerned attitude: it is not only reflected by the aforementioned rough removal of the Simplified Chinese language, but also displayed by turning a blind eye to its follow-up development. They have never attended to any special sales with this game, and they refuse to update the game even though the game makers has realeased the patches. Obviously,@Adam McClard, the CEO of the Origo Games, I think you haven't finished what you should have done, and that’s why I cannot recommend it until its status having been improved.
