Love this game! I keep thinking "I haven't liked a motorcycle game this much since Superbike 2000". I just realized the two games had the same developer. I'm sure there are a lot of different people at the company now, but still, it seems like there's some similar DNA between the games.

I don't really understand some of people's negativity towards this game. I guess maybe it doesn't feel simmy enough for the sim enthusiasts, and not arcadey enough for the GRID and MX vs ATV crowd. I, however, love the balance. The menus are beautiful, lots of good multimedia content that gives it more life, lots of game modes, love the Moto2 and Moto3 options because MotoGP is pretty intense for a starter. Great control/realism options (I like joint-braking and auto-tucking because I don't need THAT level of simulation). I think the graphics are great personally. The player models are particularly good I think, and the tracks have a lot of spectators and a good lively feel to them, although they don't quite have that GRID polish and detail, but I don't really care for that look. This game is clean to look at and not cluttered.

People have complained about the controls being unrealistic, but I don't see what the problem is. I loved MotoGP 07 which actually felt a little too arcade-like to me, but I like this game much more now that I've tried it. The camera is more stable and improves gameplay, and I like the way the bike responds to over-throttling it. High-sides and low sides seem to occur reasonably, and if it were any harder or sim-like, it would be a pain to play (using a controller with joysticks will never perfectly reproduce the feel of a real motorcycle and people need to accept that. So why not make a game reasonably PLAYABLE? I think this game is, yet isn't a silly arcade game either).

The wreck physics are a litte silly though. You can bump into the back of people and flail around over the handlebars and easily recover. It's easy to maliciously wreck other people too. But reasonably trying to race among a large pack isn't impossibly difficult. But it's a challenge. I think the wet conditions LOOK nice in this game, but they don't seem to affect control very much at all, so that seems a little unrealistic.

I tried MotoGP 14 first and my video card struggled, and it seemed glitchy as hell. I actually prefer the cleaner look of MotoGP 13 anyway.

I think Milestone did a admirable job with this game and I'm happy with my purchase.

Decent bike-racing game for PC.
There aren't many to choose from but this does the job.

It's not brilliant (graphics aren't that good, sounds are rather bland) but it does have bike handling considerable well handled.

Remove the assistances to get proper "feel" for the bike, otherwise you can't really drive the way you should: handling is awkward and off-balance when assists are enabled.

If you are into motorbikes you might like this as well. It's not epic but suitable for people into racing and motorsports.

Best MotoGP game ever. Reminds me of MotoGP 3 on the PS2, which was awesome, but this has better graphics, obviously. Try the demo :P

Career mode is great, without a season limit, like some games..

Pros:
-Good Semi-Simulator
-Good Graphics
-Challenging
-Inclusion of Moto3 and Moto2 gives this game a much easier learning curve
-AI are actually good at avoiding you, unlike some sims
-Lowsiding, highsiding, skidding all feels appropiate and can be hard to recover from
-Difficulty levels actually make sense. Easy is easy and Realistic is just that. Realistic AI laptimes are actually faster than real life to match a player's ability to do so.

Cons:
-Sound feels a little dated
-Limited helmet choices and they are all very similiar.
-It's too easy to run on the grass or clip a sand trap without falling, doesn't feel harsh enough
-The game has a thing for rain in Career mode races. More variety and sun would've been appreciated
-Not that its a problem unique to this sim but the AI still fail to take high speed corners effectively and so tracks with multiple high speed corners are too easy.
-If you use braking lines, this one is alittle off. I prefer to use the real white markers, which are perfectly placed and easily visible

Overall its an above average sim for me, and its actually fun to play. Setting the AI to max and going to one of your favorite tracks actually leads to exciting battles and the motorcycles are very forgiving in what racing line you take, allowing you to have even tighter battles than you would have with cars.

Note: There is a huge glitch in this game that should be forwarned before buying. If you use Steam Cloud and have more than one computer, using this game on a second computer will stop your career mode from saving -ever- again on either computer. The fix is simple enough, you just don't use Steam Cloud for this game.

MotoGP 08 was a great game, MotoGP 13 is even better and a well done, much needed revive to the series. The graphics are realistic and the racing is closer than ever in a MotoGP game

The career mode is a nice addition and something fun to play not only for achievements but to pass time whilst waiting for a race weekend to begin.

Followers of the sport will be ecstatic with this racing game despite it's cons especially after being left in the dark for the past 5 years.

If I were to rate this game I'd give it an 82/100

Although at first this game appears to have rather out dated graphics I have to say it has been brilliant fun! Really you do need to know a bit about motoGP and how motorbikes work to be able to control the bike, it requires being very smooth and careful with your movements. I do wish there was some sort of practice or bike test mode so you could take your career bike out to get used to it. Other than that, great game!

This game is OK. It is borderline arcade-oriented, versus a hardcore simulation - which is absolutely OK with me. In fact, I wish it were even more so. No amount of physics modeling is going to make the experience of a racing game truly comparable to real life, so I believe it is much better to focus on fun and presentation. In terms of presentation, the game is already quite attractive. The pavement looks just right, the environments look close enough to the real tracks that I can't find faults, and the game has absolutely no pop-in artifacts. What it really needs, though, is some quality voice-over and overlay work. The most spectacular thing about modern NBA and NFL games, for me, is that the casters and screen overlays make gameplay look like televised events. Upgrading this game to do the same would probably elevate it to greatness.

First time I've bought a MotoGP game and I've been impressed. The graphics are fairly good and I enjoy having unlimited seasons in career compared to the F1 series. One problem I've had is with AI riders driving into the back of me as I brake/go in for a corner. I know this is because they can brake later/ know the corner better than me as I'm still learning but surely they should be aware enough to avoid me. It's happened many times during a race and costs me a replay that when you like playing 100% race distance are important. Still, I've really enjoyed playing so far and will probably continue to buy MotoGP games

As far as it goes i think this game is all the more recomandable if you're a fan of motogp or simply motorcycles in general. Overall riding feels realistic and compelling. It is true that only a small amounts of the technical aspects of the game alone would possibly make you fall for it .. there are indeed numerous glitches and the textures and polygons seem somehow dated (graphic engine of WRC3 supposedly .. takes us back quite a few years that is .. ) the sound of engines is ok with the music generally being a lame worthless ♥♥♥♥♥ (for all i care it could get even worse since it doesn't seriously damage the game experience in itself .. you can always mute it but hell i thought it was maybe something I had to mention anyways) YET the difficulty is challenging to say the least and the pro rider settings will require a bunch of hours of practicing before you can even start hoping to take the lead in any of the major events but what a thrill once you're starting to feel like you're part of the race for broke!! One more interesting thing : everything is official licence here : real motogp tracks of course but real star riders, real equipment, real bikes .. IT IS THE REAL DEAL .. hopefuly we'll get patches, fixes and updates soon enough because if the looks are barely alright (i recall NFS Shift 2 : Unleashed had better looks overall .. and it's no less than two years older a game in comparison!!) one can feel there's been some dedication and clever work in the making of this game.

Do I think this is a good game? In some respects, yes. The bikes are fairly hard to handle as you move up the classes (as it should be) and the tracks are actually kinda fun. However, they need to put the difficultly up to a point where you're doing well to be midfield on a midfeild bike. The AI drops around 1.5-2 seconds in race trim, while yourself can keep the same laptimes. Takes away from a lot of good battles. Frustratingly, in the wet, the game is horrible. No realism, too much grip (even on pro mode) and not enough sliding. Ruins all the positive points.

I really can recommend this game only for a big fans of MotoGP and only because there is no other option. For others it's not an option.
First of all, it has some critical issues which lasts for months without fixing. You can find occasionally that your career is no longer saving or the game isn't starting. But even without this it's far from perfect. AI is too easy to beat (on some tracks even extremely easy) on the higest difficlty level (with semi-pro physics), graphics was great seven years ago, it's almost always rainig, AI has cheat lap times in qualifying and a boy, who beats everyone in Moto3 and Moto2, winning almost every race, is only welcome in CRT teams (which makes your career looks pretty strange).
But if you're ok with that, go and buy it right now! In fact, you don't really have a lot of choice in moto games, do you?

graphics wise its not 100%
maybe 80%

other than that its a great game.

its my first motorbike racing sim so i cant comment on what the older ones where like compaired to this.

after riding 18 races in career mode i can see a few glitches.
1. AI riders 'float' above the shadows they make, not by far but visible to your eye.
2. sounds are tinny, even on 850w surround sound system.

Challenging and aggressive AI makes for enjoyable offline play. The tracks have a somewhat dated look, but the bikes are beautifully modeled.

I was a bit dissapointed with this game from a visual level and also from a game play level. Its 2013 and the graphics for this game are just really really basic. Also everytime you lean into a corner it seems like a life time, especially when you go through the twisty parts of tracks. There is no visual damage at all and if you do fall of the motorcycle it dosent even break.

A really nice game good atmosphere great physics and does MotoGP justice, as a fan of the sport and owner of every MotoGP game to date, MotoGP 13 has to be one of the best if not the very best MotoGP game ever made. Good Job Milestone.
