About the Game

Introduced in 1951, the Mark 1 was a standard carriage design seeing front line service across the UK railway network up until 2005. Construction of the design ran for over 10 years, with non-passenger stock continuing production right up to 1975.

While its concept was the standardisation of passenger rolling stock after the creation of British Railways from the 'Big Four' operators, over its life the Mk1 design featured a plethora of variations and improvements. To honour this 'standardised diversity' this Mk1 Coach pack provides no less than 7 types in 4 of the most widely recognised colour schemes.

• Shunt coaches around Didcot and then take a special train to Reading, called at Cholsey enroute.

Race Special

• Its the day of the Horse races at Thirsk. Take a special train from Newcastle on this fine Summer's day.

Holiday on Rails

• Its a Summer Saturday. Heavily laden trains from the North of England are making their way to the South coast. Take an express from bath Green Park to Evercreech Junction, where you must shunt the stock.
