Ok with this review im going to go over with gameplay and what i like about it and dislike. ill talk about the game from starting a match to destroying the enemy spirt.
Match Making: So one with that stand out on the Main menu is that their is no place to look at the games charaters and stuff. I was like "Wut" when i noticed this. So i started a match and it took to straight to charater select. So while browsing i noticed that the timer was not there. This is because once you select a charater It then places you in the "Finding a match" Screen. Pros:- Like any good moba should this lets you look at all the charaters freely with ablitites and stats
-Because you'll be always match with people who didnt pick your hero you'll always get the hero you want.
Cons- No hero select. Which means you could get Teams of 3 mages or tanks.
-You cannot work with your team to have a nice and fun teams.
Charaters and adtributes: The game has a decent roster of charaters...but the game suffers from what I like to call "THE OP STORM!!!" It only took me 3 games to figure out this. You will have many momments when your doing fine the something blows you up. DAWNE IS A GOOD EXAMPLE OF THIS! Though let me get into a quick overview if you never played a moba. Earth: Is bruiser or carry. Bruises can take a couple slaps to the face but can also slap back kinda hard. Carrys are ranged heros who shoot or throw painful things from far away but they cant take many slaps to the face.
Sun: Is mage. Mages cant take many slaps and their slaps are wimpy. But they cast powerful magic and apply deadly affects on enemies.
Moon: Support. These heros MUST AVOID BEING SLAPPED AT ALL COST! They also fail at slapping but they give wonder gifts to allys to help them win slap fights.
Void: Assaisn: These heros cant handle being slapped alot. So they play dirty and downright punch the foe.
Iron: Tank: These heros are people who when they get slapped the personsn hand stops once it reaches the face. But they cant really slap back.
Now that thats out of the way lets get to the attributes as i just listed each hero has an attribute that they must collect on the feild to become stronger. Heros use their main attributes to upgrade their ablitys. On the flip side a hero can collect an attribute to enhance their stats in the following. Earth: Increases attack damage. Sun: Decreases cooldown timers. Moon: Increases health regen. Void: Increases attack speed. Iron: Increases max health.
Pros: The attributes put in alot of thinking. If you see one on the ground you might pick it up but then you see an ally who might need it. You also can win many fights by balencing your attributes. Its a neat idea I approve of it.
Cons- Ya about that...must i mention that EVERYONE IS FIGHTING FOR THE ATTRIBUTES!? Ya your just fighting your foes for these shiny things EVERYONE IS! Sometimes their is a guy who hogs it all and while he may be a lion covered in diamonds your a rat with a twig for a sword.
Comminty: You think this game follows the classic tred of its community being bad. FEAR NOT FOR THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN COMMUNICATE IS BY .....usesing alert commands...
Pros- No flamers, grammer nazis, trolls, and no stupid aggruments.
Cons-This is a TEAM GAME! How are you suppose to work as a team if you cant talk to your allys? So this means if a bus is about to fall on someone all you can do is flail your arms about like the mute you are.
Fighting and gameplay: Now we get the main course. The good stuff. It is very faced paced...when your fighting. when your walking your very slow and its worse because at the center of the map their is water. If you step in it you move as slow as a turtle with a shell made of stone. If your not fighting at the center your fighting at the left or right side which are littered with friendly or enemy turrets. Towers will attack enemy heros who are in range can will stay locked on until the target leaves range or dies horribly. To get to these towers you must win the slap war vs the enemy heros and it takes skill and the right timing of abiltys to win.
The thing is death is harsh in this game for if all heros on a team die or go the spawn the turrets get lonely and deactivate. Which means if everyone on your teams dies the enemys gets free rights to destroy your turrets. once all the towers are gone you get to smash the spirt and tower who has alot more health. Destroy it and win. Also their are attributes scattered around the map and a chest the spawns in the middle and when a team captures it. It explodes and sends lots of money into your entire teams wallet. (IF ONLY IT WORKED LIKE THAT IN REAL LIFE!)
Pros- The game will settle down your lust for pvp without having to farm or anything else crazy. It may be cheap at times but who cares when your having a fun time in the mosh pit. It may seem like nonsence but it takes some stratigy to win.
Cons- Out of all the roles mages and supports get the shortest straws. because they die so easly and cant do much to back them vs a duel with someone like hammock. Also your heros speed makes it hard not to blow up into tiny peices by spells and projectitles and the balance of the charaters dont help. IM LOOKING AT YOU DAWNE!
End game: You get medels for you effort and other stuff and xp for your account and....hero?! You can tell your enemies or allys that they suck all you can do if hit the GG (Good Game) alert. Then you take a break and eat some cake.
Pros- Seeing all the medels you earned is satifying and makes you feel like its worth the struggle.
Cons- XP for your charaters. what this means if once they lvl up you can upgrade your ablitys in 3 stats. WHY THIS TAKES FUN OUT WHEN YOU SEE THAT YOUR FOE IS USEING FULL UPGRADED ABLITYS WHEN YOUR TRYING A HERO YOU NEVER USED IN PVP! Let me take my main so far. Ava 1st with her W ablity which sommons a dark cloud that damages enemies inside it . You can upgraded its size...damage and give it an extra power....makes it so allys inside are faster....um ok...what about ice spikes that ablitys makes it so you fire ice spikes in a staight line and it damages and slows enemies. Upgrades Damage, length....snare duration?! THE HECK! So its letting use turn a simple slow into A SNARE!
in the end it depends on who your are. DO you like almost non-stop mosh pit action then this is your game. Do you like startigic games that takes lots of skill....this isnt your game. So enjoy this game hopefully they will fix balence issues and maybe add more maps.
