I wouldn't call it a good game, it didn't really do anything revolutionary that didn't already exist in previous cs iterations. That said this is electronic crack, If you get hooked this is probably what you'll be doing every time you get bored.

For GMod. Still fun toh.

Counter-Strike is one of the most iconic FPS games out there and source is a great part of a good series of games. if you are familiar with it's sequel Counter-Strike Global Offensive then its pretty much the same experience but with a less up to date experience. the graphics and the mechanics are from 2004 but of course since then updated a bit, but nothing bad or clumsy in any way it just doesnt look like some next gen game. Counter-Strike and especially source is a really great game because of its many ways of playing it. Since the game isn't really played competitively anymore there is so many different ways to play the game. Counter-Strike has always been known for its many gamemodes and creative ways to play the game because of the many possibilitïes the game offers. The game is of course primarily focused around shooting but you can play more movement based ways of playing like surfing where you obtain immense speed by running on angled walls and flying around trying to avoid obstacles and play races. Or maybe some more RPG based gamemodes like jail where you are either an officer or a prisoner and tries to make sure everything stays in order or trying to escape. there is no end to what you can do is counter-strike and that is what makes the game so great. so if you are looking for a lot of possibilites for what you want to play or just a good shooter are counter-strike definitely worth a shot
