About This Game

In Game Dev Tycoon you replay the history of the gaming industry by starting your own video game development company in the 80s. Create best selling games. Research new technologies and invent new game types. Become the leader of the market and gain worldwide fans.

A journey through gaming history

Start in the 80s
Start your adventure in a small garage office in the 80s. Enjoy the hand-crafted level design while you develop your first simple games. Gain experience, unlock new options and create your first game engine.

Create games your way
In Game Dev Tycoon the decisions you make during development really matter. Decide which areas you want to focus on. Does your game need more gameplay or should you focus more on quests? These decisions will have a major impact on the success of your game.

Grow your company
Once you have successfully released a few games you can move into your own office and forge a world-class development team. Hire staff, train them and unlock new options.

Make larger more complex games
With experience and a good team, you can release larger, more complex games. Larger games bring new challenges and you will have to manage your team well to deliver hit games.

Made a werewolf RPG named 'I Howl You' and it got a perfect 10.
Made a 'I Howl You 2' and got a 5, reviews called it a cheap ripoff.
Well.. They were right.. Very realistic game.

GAME DEV TYCOON

PUAN 10/7.9

Game Dev Tycoon is so addictive, right from the get go you want to make your name in the Games Industry, starting out from your garage and working your way up to giant buildings.

The game surprises you going through by presenting extra features, but it's a shame in a way how secret they are kept because people could easily lose interest before reaching that - some people are ready to call it a day after making a cool 10 million!

It could offer more clothing options and hairstyles when creating your character at the beginning, but that is no biggie in this type of game really, it would just make your company even more personal to you.

The workshop has also done wonders for this game post-release, due to expanding the possible genres and topics, as well as available consoles, which extends playability even more.

This is a great game and I would have been happy to pay a little bit more for it but, the price is perfect I feel for people who aren't as in to these types of games because they can play it casually without thinking they spent too much on it.

Good job Greenheart Games!

Now this game is great, I mean I've never been good at strategic games but this one I think really fits my skill level, I like the theme of the game and love how it's structured, but less about how good it is and time to start actually critiquing it, first of all the in game reviews, some times I feel as if they sound kinda....flat?, for example I made a parody of star craft called "scar traft" and one of the reviews was "fun at stages" which made the in game reviews sound flat and lifeless, because there was no way for me to make the game online or not, then there's my next biggest issue, variety, during the start of the game I feel as if the amount of genre's you're given aren't very....varied, I feel as if you should have at least 10 different genre's from the start, and lastly my final issue with it is also with the start of the game, sequels, during my first play through of the game I wanted to make a sequel to the first game I made, so I made it, but then later on in the game I find out that the way I made my sequel ((obliviously making it an independant title)) wasn't the way I was supposed to do it, and the way I was supposed to do it was to advance more into the game, which was just......it made feel stupid to be entirely honest, this is my review of game dev tycoon.

So I've never tried crack-cocaine and now I don't have to. One life saved!

I can only complain that I now having the option of living with my parents, playing a game where I'm probably developing a game in my parents garage. Or to put it another way.... I'm living with my parents home where playing a game where you create a game from my parents Garage in which you can create other games you can play from your parents place. Needless to say that this game is pretty meta and definately worth playing as a thought exercise if for no other reason... Though the game play is pretty addictive.

Pros: Cons:
No Drugs. Addictive
Game Play. I'm still living at my parents.
Totally Meta thought exercise.

Totally worth a buy

I tried to be a smart-♥♥♥ and make FNAF - Instant hit.
Then I made a sequel - It did even better. 10/10 10/10 9/10 7/10 (<---Screw that guy)
Covered in fanbase cash, I attempted to make FNAF 3 - Everyone was tired of my ♥♥♥♥.
One last mad cash grab, FNAF 4 - Lost more than half the fanbase.

Cancerous Fanbase/10

This game is fun on its own. I downloaded 20 something mods. I now have two billion dollars. I have my own console. If you want a game that will keep you hooked. BUY IT!

Pros:
Infintie Story
Time waster
Tons of mods
You can play forever
You can make 500 sequels of the same game like they did with Cod

Cons:
Game Can Be Slow
You can't build your own office

Yes, I very much so recommend this game... My only wish though was that I wanted a hard mode so that people that didn't know which consoles would flop or not would get lured in, lets say that they added an Atari Jaguar and mentioned its '64 bits' possibility, then when they start making a game, they cant finish it cuz developing for that piece of crap was so hard! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
10/10 would become EA Again

Pretty simple game, but loses its replayability after a while.

It is fun to play through the game the first time, but after you have done it a couple of times there isn't really anything worth sticking around for as there isn't much of a difference between each of the games you make. It all starts to blend into a generic switch management game without much draw to replay.

Still a good game worth checking out.

The game is fun, don't get me wrong. But it gets to the point where things keep popping up while you're in the middle of doing something.

It would be nice if "propositions" and "news" had their own section.

You can create your own video-games in your own company. Great, but you dont really have much creative control over it, if you are making adventure game, you know you have to put a lot of effort in story, that s right, but you will never see your game in motion or learn why your game was successful or not. Anyway, I made an MMORPG called World of Warhammer and earned hundreds of millions of dollars, it was worth it.
