I am sick
of people saying this is a pay-2-win
It is not at all a pay-2-win game, it's a casual Dungeon Keeper(sort of) game, and you have the option to buy 'premium currency' which lets you buy... to be honest, and in my experience, nothing extra, it only lets you use that currency instead of your gold or life force on some items
, most items can only be purchased for gold or life currency, mostly on the later tier items which costs a considerably large amount of gold or life force can be bought for the premium currency to bypass some time.
And if you're complaining about the premium currency stuff and how it makes it such a pay-2-win game when you're like level 9 or something then I'm sorry but you have no right to even talk about such a thing at that point, later on in the game when you level up you will have multiple
mines that gives you thousands of life force and gold a day.
So, NO, this is NOT a pay-2-win game, if anything it is an 'you-can-spend-some-money-to be-a-little-bit-quicker-than-everyone-else-which-in-the-long-run-is-not-really-worth-it game'.
And you can buy cosmetic items which are just for the looks for real money which you gives you next to non, wait, EXACTLY ZERO advantage in the game, except for maybe a person will look at your hero for 2 seconds and admire you bat ears or whatever.
Now, to the actual game(sorry, I just had to get the pay-2-win aspect out of the way), the only.. bad(very bad) thing I've encountered so far is the that after you pick a class, Archer, Knight, the Mage or the Runaway you need to spend real money if you want to chose another class later on in the game.
But keep in mind this a casual F2P(free to play) game, and if you go hardcore in this game, wanting to level multiple heroes with fancy castles, then you can prepare now to pay money, it's your choice to do that.
So, when you start of in this game please be careful when you pick your class, do some research on the wiki or something before you pick your class, unless you're already set on what class you wanna pick, that is.
To the actual gameplay, it is very repetitive but that is not necessarily a bad thing, for example every time you raid another players, incase you are not aware, yes, you do attack actual players, other people, you're attacking Billy's castle to steal a small % of their total gold and life force, with the exception of optional
NPC castles and mandatory
Back to my point, everytime you raid another players castle you see new stuff every single time, all the castles are built in different ways, making it very unique and fun.
And I can't stress this enough, this is not a game that you go to a LAN-party with and play for 8 hours straight, this is a game you log into for maybe 30 minutes to an hour or a bit more to raid some castles, collect your gold and life force from your mines and build a bit on your castle and then you log out again after you've wasted some time.
But if you do wanna play this game as a non-casual game, as in you wanna play for long sessions, be on rank #1 in the world, then yes, you will have to pay money, as it gives you the advantage of upgrading your hero and your castle quicker.
Do I recommend this game?
Yes, I strongly recommend this game, the intro/mini-guide at the beginning to get you started is both funny and helpful, the gameplay is very fun, it's a fun game to spend 1 hour in a session to waste some time but at the same time have fun.
If you're looking for a WoW-esque game then this is not for you, if you're looking for a casual and fun game which you can waste 30 minutes on a day, then this is for you.
