"Diablo meets Dungeon Keeper"
PC Gamer

"Mighty Quest is like pop-corn. You take just a few to taste them and you end up finishing the whole pot without noticing."

"At its core, The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot shows a lot of promise. I love the dungeon building and the quick and instant gratification the hack n’ slash looting gives."

"The name may be a bit confusing, then, but there's no mistaking the warmth lurking within wonderful chunky art and the neat dovetailing of complimentary systems."

“Mighty Quest is on its way to becoming the essential multi-player game for the non-multi-player”

About This Game

The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot is a brand new game from Ubisoft Montreal that thrusts you in an outrageous medieval fantasy world called Opulencia where wealth, status and showboating are the name of the game!

As a newcomer to Opulencia, you will hack n slash your way through hundreds of castles designed by the ingenious minds of your fellow players!

Don’t forget to show them who’s boss by constructing deadly keep of your very own – in this kingdom, size really does matter!

Key Features

 • Castle Looting: Prepare your hero for battle and charge into one of many player-created castles to test your skills and might! Oh yeah, and don’t forget all the loot and gold waiting for you in the treasure room at the end of the castle.
 • Castle Defense: Protect your treasure from the greedy hands of your neighbors. You and your friends can build custom castles with majestic rooms and fill them with deadly monsters like fire-breathing dragons, nose-picking Cyclopes, swarming vampires and more. Then, surprise your foes by boosting your castle’s defenses with fearsome fire cannons, spike traps and other surprises. The more enemies perish in your castle, the higher the reward.
 • Variety of Heroes: The outlandish world of Opulencia has an eccentric cast of characters ranging from the knight, Sir Painhammer, a good-natured tough guy to Blackeye Bowgart, an archer with a chip on his shoulder. More will be available in the near future.
 • Character Customization: Plain armor is out this season, shiny metal is in. Use your well-earned gold to shop and customize and level up your heroes in style.
 • Showboating: Think you are the baddest of the bad in all of Opulencia? Prove it by creating different challenges for your foes and compare yourself on the leaderboards.
 • Intense Action: Play on your own schedule. Short sessions means you can play when you want to. It also doesn’t hurt to have others playing at the same time, but you don’t need them playing simultaneously to experience looting at its best.

Cons: Ubisoft, low dev, money eaters, commercial fail

This game will be online as long as it will give them money. Devs wont upgrade this game, this is Ubisoft's game. Patches and updates will be very minimal, in most of cases they will add more premium content, this is Ubisoft's game.

When enought players notice this ♥♥♥♥, Ubisoft will throw this game into the trash and you won't hear about it anymore, becouse this is Ubisoft's game.

I recommend this game to everyone who's enjoying that policy.

You know this is a negative review, yet this game is FREE to play so feel FREE and play it yourself.

Anyway - this game looks very nice and i was waiting for it to be released, despite of crap ton super expensive DLC, that game was really nice - good looking, awesome trailers, various funny enemies and the most important - You can BUILD YOUR DUNGEONS AS YOU LIKE, and you can defeat other guys dungeons (or not and rebuild your dungeon as their :) ) - cant be bad right? It's actually AWESOME.

So why is this game actually bad?
-Undescriable amount of grinding - to fill your dungeon you have to buy every single mosnter - better monsters cost more, to unlock better monsters you have to upgrade barracks, to increase the size of the dungeon you have to lvl up - grind grind grind grind GRIND, all the actions gives little to no money - ofcourse they have packs for cash that offers huge amount of monsters skins and gold. - this is not the worst part

-Now you want some fun and actually win some other guys castle right? The system works this way - you build the dungeon - then you complete it yourself to set the default time - if enemy beat that time - your dungeon lost, if you not - you win. If someone beat your castle, you will get the notification and and you can revenge if you invade his castle and beat it. What's the problem? After some point completing the run does not registered by the system. You cant change your castle because you cant complete the 1st run to activate it, you cant progress because your wins are not saved. - Ubisoft support simply ignore that fact. They do know that there is the problem but they do nothing. Actually their support for that game is the worst thing ever.
Support ticket answered like once a week by some nonenglish native person that *sympel doez not undirstand* half of the text you send and answering completly random sh`t that not help at all.

Aside from huge amount of crashes and bugs there are paid dlc that offers top monsters that really hard to beat, you have to grind for them really long time, while other people have them in their 1st castles, so you sweat your a55 off to beat them, while if you win and they will revenge your castle will be easier. and that's sad.

This game was super, and should have become a hit. But i guess ubisoft market leaders want some quick cash and nothing more.

p.s. Glad to see that all the DLC for this game are removed from steam page.

I was browsing trough my steam when I found this game, I remembered that I had played it for a little bit but for some reason I did not have it dowloaded; I found it odd for usually I leave games dowloaded even if i I don't use them again so I dowloaded it again.

I quickly came to realize why I had deleted it, the controls are sloppy, there is no way to change absolutely anything related to them and there are a lot of mecanics in the overall game which quickly get onto your nerve within the first few minutes of playing; end of story it is deleted again and now I am making a review so I don't forget why I stopped playing it again.

This game is perfect evidence of how bad controls can run a possibly fun game.

I'm only giving this game, which i played a lot more off of Steam than on, a thumbs down because it is yet another game Ubisoft is killing.

I'm not sure what happened to this once great studio, but it certainly isn't the Ubisoft that I supported for years, and has went from one of my favorite studios, to probably my least favorite. Well right above Wildcard anyway.

Was a really fun game, and was not bothered by the fact that people willing to put money into it, came out with better stuff in the end. That is how capatilism works. Especially in a free to play game.

Like many games of its type, free vs money will always put you at a disadvantage, much like the real world...and TCGs. God the amount of money I spent on MTG is simply crazy, but...I had a lot of really cool that won a lot of matches.

Free to play always makes me suspicious.
While I had fun for a bit, it wasn't worth paying for and the shop was all pay-to-win.

Now I see it is being put out of its misery on 25th October.
It's a shame, yet good riddance.

Man I loved this game! You won't get to play it though, it caught a rash of hateful little nosebleeders who would rage against players as 'pay to win' horribles and so without anyone supporting the game it is being turned off now. May all those brats have children that are just like them! You'll never get to try this particular flavor of fun, your life has been deprived of it so why not curse those brats along with me and then go buy something in your own favorite f2p game to show those punks who's got work, gets themselves paid, and rains tigerblood winnings on their funtime like a boss. Cheers!

This review is for Ubisoft Company!

I enjoyed this game before they started adding "new content", like crafting materials, and before the "turbo patch".
crafting turned the game into and absolute pay-to-win and turbo made this game unplayable, because it turned this game from hack&slash to spellcast by incrdibly reducing skill cooldowns. I've spent a lot of money tho this game before it was pathced and after those patches it felt like a waste because it needed more and more...
and now I hear that game is shutting down. I cant even recall it being released officially!

Psythus with a review for "The Mighty Quest For Epic Loot"
PLUS: Exploring The 'Free To Play' world of gaming's trends involved
SO, before anyone just takes the double trouble of mixed feedback on this game, take what I'll say here into consideration. This game actually is worth a shot if you are a fan of action/rpg (Overhead Diablo style) and strategy that can have you feeling the true bliss every troll out there not only wants to have the freedom to feel, but actually be rewarded and encouraged to try and achieve it in any way you choose! You build a base, starting with the minimums, and first plus comes here.. You are matched well with people of the same abilities and given the options to try to conquer higher level castles if you choose as well, where rewards are adjusted too based on level. Balance is a very important success here to commend the devs that have given their all to this game. You can of course buy stuff with real money, currency for fake currency and all that like freemium games all have. So then you build a castle full of traps and monsters for others to run through Diablo style with skills for each class just the same. If they get through, they take some of your lootz, but you can go get revenge if they so do of course, provided you yourself can get through their castle of death yourself. It's pretty much that simple, but don't think it lacking in addictive and repetative boredom, nope. You level up quickly enough, have enough resources and can loot enough off other player's castles to advance your own death gauntlet just as fast... Which all does a great job of rewarding you and giving those precious dopamine surges we as gamers so love about any RPG or experience and leveling system. But then of course this has base building and with a great twist in it as well, because there's HUNDREDS of base building/defense/pvp freemium games out there of course right? But, do any of them have the fun of Diablo-style attacking involved where there's ACTUALLY action and not just placing your forces and letting them do their dumb AI thing they do. Screw that.. this is the next wave here guys, and this is helping lead into that of course. It's a concept that we are starting to understand in the still exponentially growing 'free to play' expanse that has opened up here on steam and everywhere else you can game. Where a game can be free to play, and not be 'pay to win' only with minimum fun involved or concept that it was created with only the aim of being an addiction machine to sit back and steal from addiction-prone people that don't know they are yet. South Park is even hitting on this point... that most free to play have been Skinner Box manipulation and only that for the aim of profit. But this stands out and I urge anyone to play it because of the fact that it is a free game that actually has VALUE to it, but you're never required to pay or pushed to do so in order to get more enjoyment out of it than it was intended to have already. Thanks for reading, and don't trust the feedback up there of "Mixed" for this game or any other game on here that's free, unless you have understood this concept I've tried to lightly summarize and know the difference of a free game for profit, and in "The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot" and others that are free for fun.

It's a good game fun to play in your free time. But what I hated the most about it was that every 30 minutes or so it would crash and I lose part of what I did. Other wise Great game 8.5/10
