Might & Magic X is one of the most underestimated game. It deserves to get more positive reviews.

The combat of this game is considerably tactical, as compared to recent RPG games including recent old school ones. Depending on enemy's attributes, you need to carefully choose which skill you gonna use to attack it or to make your characters survive. Sometimes your magic does not work for enemies. So it is important to check the magic resistance of your enemy in a journal.

The game asks careful character progression. You can not increase all of your skills up to grandmaster. Also, your game play would be very easy depending on which skill you learn or increase. So you need to make a plan for your character. This is a pleasure in a RPG game, not a pain.

The game gives you chances to solve many puzzles and riddles. Most of them are easy, but some are difficult. However, when you solve them by yourself, it will give you a great fun.

Based on these, I highly recommend this game to someone who likes turn-based, party-based, or old school RPG. Have a fun~

Not as good as World of Xeen but a damn fine blobber. The world also isn't as open as I'd like but it's interconnected which makes it more tolerable. Really hope Limbic gets to make another M&M RPG in this style.

Protip for planning out your party, build around skills you can grandmaster, and give everyone a single point in a ranged weapon. Grandmastered skills become pretty important later on, and everyone having a point in a ranged weapon lets you take potshots at enemies at range.

I'm appalled that one of the best releases of 2014 has such middling reviews on here.

Performance issues are the only true flaw. Yeah, there are re-used assets, yeah M&MVI-IX fans aren't getting a follow-up to that style, with this one being more like the World of Xeen games.

It's an incredibly fun RPG that I personally found more enjoyable on a battle-to-battle basis than even Dragonfall and Divinity last year. Incredibly underrated game.

I had been a massive fan of the Might & Magic franchise when I was younger, and had been disappointed by the Might & Magic 9. After hearing that they were going to try and create M&M 10 with a retro feel I was hoping that they would rekindle some of the spark that M&M 1 – M&M 8 had.

Unfortunately, this had been another disappointment due to poor and confusing combat/spell systems, character development that is quite unforgiving and leaves me feeling that choice is an illusion and to get anywhere in the game you need a specific build of character.

I felt the limiting of classes to race and the extremely limited choice in character appearance was unnecessary and made the options you had to build a unique character even more obvious. The story telling had been weak and had not been focused on delivering short, clear and easy to follow story line.

I struggle to find any saving graces for the series, except the desire to continue the series. In conclusion I wouldn’t recommend this game to any fan of the original Might & Magic series.
