Not gone, but a lot has been going on (That Ryhmes...)

Hey everyone. I know it's been quite a some time since we have posted or patched the game.

It's been a very complex ride after the release, and I will go more into it in another post.

What I wanted to get out there was that we are still alive and we have not just abandoned you, but there were logistical things that had to take priority.

In my next post I will ellaberate on that more directly, as I can not at the moment. But to say the least, please bare with us.

About This Game

Suit up as an operative of the Ark Corporation, sent to the farthest reaches of the universe in search of habitable planets to terraform. However, after the long space journey you awaken from cryosleep to find that your ship has gone way off course and is disabled near a strange new world. With no choice but to descend to the surface and figure out how to survive long enough to complete your mission, you step into the escape pod.

Along the way you’ll gather resources to craft armor, weapons, facilities, and vehicles to help you explore the world and conquer its aggressive inhabitants. Your base of operations will evolve from a few basic facilities exposed to the elements into a hardened fortress full of advanced technologies that let you accomplish amazing improvements to your equipment and alter the environment itself.

Be careful, though; almost everything down there wants to kill you, including fierce laser space sharks, artillery-toting polar bears, wickedly quick jetpack penguins, and even crazier horrors. Out on the Edge of Space, you must adapt or you die. Good luck, ArkCo Operative!

Normally only post reviews for games I enjoy. However, this game was awful enough that I had to post something. I didn't buy this game when it released, nor when it was in early access. No, I KICKSTARTED this game. That was the promise and intrigue I had in this game. But it is just a slap in the face. Developers, which started out with constant updates, began to slowly abandon the game. The graphics, which are actually painful to look at, never got better. The crafting system is unique but just so unpolished. This game is a complete disgrace to the games it is copying.

Not a very good game in my oppionin for reasons being.
1.The mining is wierd.
2.You don't get much detail on what to do.
3.It feels very odd in movement.

I don't reccomend buying it unless on sale. *50% or over*

I really wouldn't bother wasting your money on this game, although it can be mldly amusing there is still a lot missing and no update coming. The devs last post as of this date was in April now they have completly disappeared and the official Edge of space website is down, I can only assume they ran into financial trouble and abandonned the project.

Abandoned. Unfinished. Not worth it. Stick with Terraria. If you have a new itch, Starbound has better support.

Regretful and disappointed.
I have about eighty-four hours invested into Edge of space. (with about one third of my time in pre-release, over 404 hours in Terraria in comparison). It was exhilarating to see a game with the science-fiction setting in the genre. I wanted to like this game, but it's been a letdown overall. Exploration and expansion become quite hindered by your armor and weapons. Crafting remains over-complex and tedious. It is all too easy to sink hours looking for resources that are a little -too- scarce. Items take sometimes a half-dozen ingredients to make (which themselves take several crafting stations). In comparison to Terraria, most items take three or fewer (excluding endgame content). This game is an example of a great premise bogged down by poor development. This is one of the few games I keep trying every so often to see if they've fixed it, and so far they haven't. I'm not yet at the point where I wish I could trade or return it, but I'm not too far from that either.

Game is hella dead.

Shame, really, because I did find a lot of it intriguing. Half of it was okay. But not even a -75% summer sale is worth the investment. The game is as unfinished as it gets.

Dev posted in April that they'd post something soon. Lol.

I've had this game for more than a year. There are too many bugs and issues with this game to make it playable.

To top it off, it looks like they barely patch it. Save your money

I bought the game a long time ago, and it was garbage. Tried it again couple months ago, still ♥♥♥♥. Dont buy. Devs have abandoned this crap game anyway. You have to be mentally impaired to buy this, I only have it because it was new at the time there was no reviews so I had no way to see if was good or not.

Eh. That is the one word to describe this game.

It is an ok Open-world, sandboxy game, the areas are different, the enemies are kinda cool, the boss(es? I have only seen one) is/are ok. So when you start, everything seems like it will be good...BUT this game falls short. After playing for about an hour you will be bored as hell, you have to grind a huge amount for anything, missions are stupid as they don't work very well and all armour, upgrades, etc feel the same. No weapon seems unique or fun for that matter.

This is coming from someone who has not played with friends, maybe it is a really fun multiplayer game? I don't know but If you want to/ think it looks fun then give it a try but I wouldn't recommend it too much.

I really want to like this game and recommend it, but I just can't. It has too many issues.

5/10 Fun for a short while then gets boring

When I first got the game, it was some what of a let down, don't get me wrong, the art was detailed and nice, the tutorial mission was decent for giving information (but was very boring, to me atleast) and there was some very nice potential for the game.

But, the gameplay was, and is, really quite boring, the enemies (atleast the one I found so far) aren't interesting to fight, and really are to easy (atleast i think so), the tedious grinding for materials feels bland and unrewarding, and, currently, the development for this game has died and is most likely dead in the water.

But, I do have some hope that they will fix these promblems, and that they start adding new content to the game.

This game was another shining example of how flawed early access really is.

Gameplay - 4 (gameplay is extremely clunky, boring and the whole game feels like a chore)

Graphics - 3 (This is opinion obviously but I think this game is ugly, the color pallete is not coherent)

There isn't much more to talk about, this game is meh at best, it took them way too long to get in key features like Coop and any kind of progression system and the game to this day has been abandoned with many bugs.

4/10 - Avoid like a Jehovah's Witness.

i bought this game 2 years ago soon after release in early acess. i stopped playing for about a year and was glad to still see it being updated. i left again for about another year and noticed ut hadent been updated for like 5 months so i just ignored it and went back to playing ARK. its been i belive 5-7 months since the last update and im still upset to see that this ame has died off with a lame excuse by the creators. maby some day it may come back but i dought it.
