The Transistor is a story about love, melancholy and genuine grief. It's about a man and a woman who are in love, and who readily sacrifice for their feelings. This is immensely appealing. If you are looking for an escape to a dark and gloomy world, which can suprisingly be also dangerously calm and rumanitive, then you might have just found your thing. Highly recommended.

There is not really a single thing to focus as to why this game is great.
From the beginning of the story which is amazingly detailed by the way it comes out on top and even though my computer is not really strong on the specs this runs smoothly and on top of that the soundtrack is just plain awesome and well tailored for this.

This is the game that I visit the store page frecuently just to see what steam recommends me to play that is similar for this.
A new line has been set for me in the RPG genre and it is THIS.

So I bought this game on sale a while ago and was surprised at the depth and awesomeness of it. The combat is strategic and fun as you can combine different abilities for a near endless amount of different attacks. The atmosphere in this game is the best I have ever encountered. By holding Tab you stand still and hum which trust me you will want to do. The story is somewhat short but you can replay with all your abilities unlocked with harder enemies so it feels like it continues. Overall a great experince 10/10.

This game is absolutely gorgeous. The music, dialogue and visuals meshed seamlessly and beautifully together to deliver a rich and heartbreaking story from beginning to end. I also found the gameplay to be pretty delightful. The combination of turn-based and real-time was great fun, and made me feel like I could keep up, in spite of me usually not being very good at mastering combat controls. The weapons were super customizeable (like Bastion, but next-level), which made it feel like I was totally responsible for every combat success I won, and the little tidbits of story you picked up along the way as the story progress painted a fantastic picture of Cloudbank and the infiltration of the process. Overall playing this game was a great experience and I highly recommend playing... but maybe keep a box of tissues nearby, Supergiant really knows how to yank the ol' heartstrings.

I loved the music, I loved the 1st boss and only the 1st boss of the game

Unfortunately it was too short and they had the potential to have 2 more bosses but instead they killed them off. I would give a positive only because I am a sucker for good music but overall the game could've been better.

pros -
- gorgeous soundtrack and visuals
- narration > bastion's narration, in my opinion
- emotionally stirring, thought-provoking story with roots in science fiction
- solid length, and the nature of the game's story-telling makes it to where replaying at least once is still enjoyable
- turn-based, strategy-based almost MOBA-esque combat is really fresh and fun, and can be infuriatingly difficult
- seriously one of the beautiful all around games i've ever played

cons -
- the story is not presented in the most cohesive way (deliberately) so i can see why someone may not fully understand the breadth of what is actually happening
- that's literally it

I'm not really sure what to say. The game is really pretty and the music is fantastic (REAL GOOD OKAY!?!). It just all comes together really well. The gameplay is also good (if you like turn-based/strategy and action games being smooshed together, which I did enjoy). I FrEAkINg HAtE THE DOG ENeMiES THOuGH(why do they attack fast, also have a lot of health, and also run too fast?!?! (friendly dog is good though))

...Anyways...Continuing on...

The voice acting is also very good and I became quite attached to the main characters. And the story is really nice, and-

...This game just left me with too many feels, okay?

Oh, and the game isn't super long, but not really short either (maybe around Portal length). It took me 10ish hours while doing a lot of the challenge mission thingies, but I didn't do all of them (the dogs' fault mainly). So if you're worried about that then just wait for a sale, but if you don't care about that then I'd say buy away.

Transistor follows the story of a mute young woman, Red, in her journey of discovery. Taking place shortly after losing her voice, she discovers a key like object known as the Transistor, which narrates and communicates with Red in an accustomed manor. Together, they explore a world which has been over-run with digital viruses, which plagues the worlds existence itself.

From start up, I was astonished by the beautiful design. color and soundtrack this feature displays, it all fits splendidly together in a blend that can only impress. The game play is phenomenal, sporting a combination of classic mechanic systems, in a mix that I can only describe as Final Fantasy meets Zelda. The narration is a pleasure to listen too and pays homage to their previous game, Bastion, which was equally fantastic.

The game length tends to be on the shorter side, supplying approximately 8 hours of overall game time. Don't be fooled though, once you've seen the ending you're given the option the restart the journey, allowing you to keep all the items and progression from your current file, which lends to some interesting replay ability.

Overall, the game is a breathtaking experience, every aspect of the game works well together in a new and original concept. Supergiant Games, creators of Transistor and Bastion, deserve a congratulations for creating a masterpiece, this game will will certainly stand the test of time as one of the greatest games to hit the market. I rate Transistor a 9/10.

Amazing visuals, interesting combat system, meh story.

Not quite as good as Bastion, and the gameplay is very, very different, but it's definitely worth checking out.

This game in meant to be play slowly, and not by rush.
Its a very *classy* game with a lot of art elements.
Here is my quick review:
Audio: 9.5/10
Video: 9/10
Storyline: 9/10
Gameplay: 8/10
Overall Quick-Rating: 35.5/40
There is not much to tell about the game itself, because you have to try it by yourself.
None of the *review guys* can tell you about this game the same as you would.
So go ahead and watch some videos about this game if you are not sure on *should I buy it or not*
I got it on sale for 4.99$ instead of 18.99$ ; so If you think its alot for a game like this, you are wrong. Its worth every penny.

Overall Transistor is a really captivating game and is easily one of my current favourites.

The music in Transistor is beautiful, and really sets the mood throughout the game. The visuals were lovely, and the game has really nice character designs. Storyline and narration may be one of my favourite aspects of the game, and the ending broke me (it came quite unexpectedly but was a really touching).

Gameplay is unique as you can choose to strategically plan your moves or dive headfirst into battle, depending on your preferred play style, but i found both to be enjoyable (though i stuck to planning more). Game was also a good length and has replay value (Recursion).

It is also extremely customisable, as you are able to try all sorts of different combinations with the skills, and the results are often stunning, experimentation with different combinations was really interesting.

I would say this is one of the games you should pick up when its on sale bc it's worth the money :)
