Hey Everyone!

We posted a small update today to Intake. Here's what changed!

ːbluepillːSpecial Levels start at level 10, not level 5!
ːpinkpillːChallenge Modes only unlock if YOU get to the level. Watching one show up in attract mode doesn't cut it anymore!
ːbluepillːNew players start with 5000mg
ːpinkpillːIf you die, and then pause, there was a bug where pills would spawn anyway. That's been fixed. I think.

Here comes Intake's MAYDAY Update!

Hey all!

We've released Intake on iOS, and we're updating Intake on Steam with some new features, gameplay tweaks, and performance/bug fixes!

We've revamped the game's level progression, tweaked challenge mode difficulties, added a "No Nonsense Mode" (think more gameplay, fewer interruptions), added a sexy (and toggleable) new letterbox effect, and more! Go check out the store page for more information.

Make way for the MAYDAY launch and update!

Coinciding with the release of Intake on iOS we've pushed a brand new update to Intake on Steam! It includes a handful of gameplay tweaks, some new features, and some bug fixes!

  • Gameplay: Challenge levels during regular gameplay and pro mode now appear at intervals of five levels.
  • Gameplay: Flashbangs appear starting at level five.
  • Gameplay: Removed the game over level bonus from appearing in level one.
  • Gameplay: Challenge Modes are now 25 levels longs.
  • Feature: "No Nonsense Mode" turns off level up shield transitions and the bonus level, so you can get more playtime faster.
  • Feature: Gartnervision is a toggleable visual effect for the letterboxes. No effect on gameplay, it's just sexy.
  • Feature: Tweet button to tweet your score.
  • Bug fix: The rank badge display in Challenge Mode always shows the proper rank.
  • Bug fix: Shortened transition timing across the board.
  • Bug fix: Streamlined some loading times.
  • Bug Fix: Improved loading performance.

Because of the dramatic changes to gameplay, we're clearing the leaderboards.

Intake is the new retro-futuristic drugstep arcade shooter from Cipher Prime. In this polychromatic love child of Dr. Mario and Ikaruga, you battle a never-ending barrage of pills, pushing your skill and reflexes to the limit to avoid a lethal dosage. Blast and combo your way through an epic cascade of audiovisual mayhem so intoxicating it comes with its own warning label.

well , this is you will see in this game
there are 4 challenges mod aren't unlock untill you play more in normal mod

if you play in normal mod challenges mod will come at lvl( 10 , 15 , 20, 25, 30) seems like this
and you have to practice at challenge mod once u unlock them , also you can start from lvl ( 20 , 50 , 70)

and try to beat your time buy everything in the drugstore to let game be easly !! :)

I wasn't sure about this game, but now I'm absolutely in love. It's almost pure gameplay, and at that the game excels. It's a lot of fun and has surprising variety thanks to a system of unlocks. It's also just challenging enough, which gives it nigh-infinite replayability. Definitely one of the hidden gems.

Warning - this game may cause epileptic fits. Intake is a fast-pace shooter esque game in which you click pills before they reach the bottom. Sounds simple, but when they're flashing everywhere and shooting down to the bottom, Intake's gameplay becomes intense and highly rewarding when you complete a set of levels. The soundtrack, while limited to only 5 songs, is interchangable and add to the fast-paced, heartrate increasing gameplay.

Intake is certainly worth the miniscule price for hours of intense gameplay. It gets an 8/10.

Does anyone miss Dr. Mario besides me? Well look no further, Intake is here for your gamer pill fix. Capsules rain down from the top of the screen; don’t let them touch the bottom, or it’ll be game over. It’ll only take you a few minutes to learn the concept of this game, but don’t allow that to fool you; your reflexes will be put to the test!

Intake was developed by Cipher Prime Studios. They are a small indie developer out of Philadelphia, PA. I only recently heard of this studio and was not familiar with any of their titles until I started playing this one. Now I own their entire catalog.

This game is an underknown little gem of minimalist gameplay.

It asks you to click some falling pills to explode them before they hit the lower part of the screen. There is a color switch system.
- Pills come in two colors, shoot the pills of the same color or switch colors anytime)
- Black flashbang pills to avoid
The gameplay has a few more subtle points: explosions push away nearby pills, pills can collide together, etc.
After every short level, you get rewarded with a circle of bonus coins you have to hit quickly. CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK !

To break the monotony every once in a while,, you get a special level with one difficulty setting pushed much higher, like much more pills onscreen ("flood" levels), or less pills onscreen with a much faster falling speed.
This is 100% skill based and feels like a nice mouse aiming / reaction time skill test.
I think the game is entirely procedural/randomized. It just gets harder until you eventually lose.

There are some bonuses here and them (items, unlockable) which you should have all unlocked in a few hours hours. Hopefully they do not distract too much from the gameplay (just like the special levels, they help break the monotony).

About the graphics: they do their job. Pretty but the readibility is good, which is absolutely necessary for a fast-paced game like this. There are some nice hommages to arcade some will catch :) With some tweaks to difficulty and items, this would sure make an excellent arcade game. If arcades still existed. Whatever.

Last but not least, the game comes with a huge amount of achievements and ... leaderboards =)

Highly recommended.
