Pac-Man: Championship Edition takes the classic Pac-Man gameplay, and lets you choose how you want to play it. Whether you want to use new maze setups, play by new rules, or use new graphic styles, Championship Edition offers all that and more.

You want to see how quickly you can eat up fruits within a time limit? There's a Time Attack for that. Want to score as many points as possible within a certain time span? We've got a Score Attack just for you. Want to see how long you can eat ghosts without losing your oppotunity to do so? Say hello to Ghost Combo. And with the leaderboard function, alternate maze layouts, grading system, and more, the possibilities and replay value are practically endless.

In short, if you like Pac-Man, but want to set your own rules, then this is the game for you.

Extremely good graphics, top notch response, variety of maps and designs, Really like the fact that it slows down when near death (although a little too easy, even on hard), but an overall enjoyable experience for the eyes. Just not to be played for 2 hours straight or else you'll end up seeing color everywhere o-o

Quality-9/10
Responsive-10/10
Variety-9/10
Price- 11/10

Really brings back the memories ;)

An award-winning title for a good reason, Pac-Man™ Championship Edition DX+ is definitely the best Pac-Man game that has ever been produced, it's incredibly fun and never gets boring, even if you aren't really a Pac-Man fan, it's just simply that good.

This game offers you the chance to play classic (or not) Pac-Man however you feel like playing it, tons of variation, options, alternate-graphics and play-styles to choose from gives this game a really long lifespan and tons of replayability. There are game modes and challanges for almost every factor that exists in Pac-Man too, I'm pretty sure if you can think of a challenge, there is an option or game mode for it available somewhere in this game. There are also global and local leaderboards, ranking systems and many variations of maze-layouts to choose from too!

Whether you are a fan of the game series or not, I couldn't recommend this game to you enough, particularly when it goes cheap in the sales, pick up the All You Can Eat Edition if you want to add even more variety. This game is definitely more than worth the money, I would also recommend buying this over Pac-Man Museum (if you want a more modern Pac-Man that is) as the Pac-Man Championship Edition featured in that collection is vastly inferior to this version.

Neon Lights, Ghost Chains, and a game that spans way back to the retro days of quarter-popping action. Pac is back for a ghost-gobbling frenzy. Gobbling ghost chains makes you feel epic.

You get a number of modes. 5 minute marathon, 10 minute marathon, time trial shorts, time trial marathon, and a challenge to see how many ghosts you can gobble in a single Power Pellet charge. Can you beat my scores?

Problem? It's a bit easy in difficulty and may feel rather tedious at times. One thing it lacks is "Plain Vanilla" Pacman mode. If you want Pacman with a twist, this is for you. If you want plain vanilla elsewhere, you may want to look somewhere else.

But I still recommend it.

Last time I took Pacman for a spin was around 2004, when Pacman World 2 came out. Boy, did I regret that decision. Fixed camera angles and a difficulty that went up and down like a whack-a-mole's hammer ruined the game and I tossed it out the 3rd floor window. Funny thing is, that game came with additional versions of past Pacman games but I felt at an extreme disadvantage when it came to survival, whether you were to jump or not.

Red about this game and I realised I have been missing that drive to complete a game 100%. It either needed to be an extremely specific genre and game (Arkham Series) or something I could do in a week or so (Shadow Of Mordor). There was no feeling of replayability and a strive to perfection, like say, Wipeout HD. I now know that I am starving for arcade games like Burnout and this one.

A constant need to get better at this is ever present due to the ranking method. I have only completed Championship II with an S ranking and this has taken me a considerable time. It is extremely addictive to figure out the nooks and crannies of every course and trying to maximize your score by eating up a long chain of ghosts is the best way of saying ♥♥♥♥ you to these guys. It is revenge, pure and simple but as sweet as it is, it also has to be planned out. The patterns of the dots and the fruits appearing is something that has to be memorized for successful progression, not to mention that the game speeds up to ridiculous proportions. And if you get stuck, try watching someone else's replay, it's always helpful.

It's arcade, it's addictive for perfectionists and colorful as hell, something that's been missing from today's market. If it weren't for my army tour, I would have clocked 50+ hours already cause I am dying to finish this and get me GW: Dimensions.

It's a bit of a trip compared to the original arcade game but man... I bought the all All You Can Eat Edition and had Dig Dug theme building up for 10 minutes in score attack. Marvellous!

For those older gamers who used to play the original coin-op version of Pac-Man, this version has a few mechanics that might reinvigorate that old spark. You'll probably see from the Store page video the differences, but my favourite is ghost training for that super high score!

As of writing this I've only played 2.2 hours, but I can guarantee I'll get a few mates to toss the controller/keyboard around and see who can top the high scores!

Definitely recommend! :D

Very amazing pacman game. Seems tough and challenging at first, but then you quickly realize how simple it can be. It's easy is really easy for those who are inexperienced, and hard is really hard for those who want a challenge. It's simple to rack up points (On the 10 minute Score Attack I got 2 million first try). It's new graphics but still gives that nostalgic feel. New maps and everything is nice, and I reccomend it to any pacman fans, and people who have spare 10-15 bucks and want an arcade classic. $13.99 is an amazing deal for this game.

A Review Mostly for me so I know I’ve completed the story, as well as feedback on the game.

My Thoughts:- A brill game for the Pac-Man fans, loads of maps and other modes of play, leader boards to compete with friends as well as medals and achievement’s. Get them Pills into Pac-Man and teach them ghosts who’s boss.

Achievements:- 12 of 12 (100%) Achievements Earned

What Could Be Added:- Not really sure what could be added.

Rating:- 8 / 10

Very amusing game, bought it on sale.
I was impressed how NAMCO kept this series alive after two decades.
But unless my internet connection is broke, I really don't see any reasons to open this game.
Although it's a great game, and it has a online social part (sorta), it's still a mediocre game in 21st century.

With the rise of mobile games, there has been a resurgence of sorts for the simple arcade games of yesteryear. This game brings the classic PAC-MAN formula into the modern age by changing your goal from simply finishing stages to getting the highest score you possibly can in the designated time.

The key to racking up the points is getting combos. In addition to the familiar roaming ghosts, there are now sleeping ghosts scattered around the maze. As you pass by them, they'll wake up and start a spectral conga line behind you. By munching up lines of dots, you'll cause the coveted power-up to appear that will make all the ghosts edible, giving you the perfect opportunity to eat up the huge line behind PAC-MAN.

As you munch up more ghosts, the game will gradually speed up and that's my only legitimate problem with the game. It will frequently get way too hectic on-screen to control PAC-MAN or even know where he is in the maze. I primarily played on my Xbox controller and the joystick only contributed to the control problem.

There are a myriad of customization options for the visuals and even the music. Before starting a game, you get to choose what style you want the maze to be, the style of the PAC-MAN and the ghosts based on their different eras, and what music track you want. These simple optional changes really impressed me. You are never tied down to one style, so if you feel like playing with different visuals, you are more than welcome to do it.

The simplicity of the gameplay is what keeps me coming back again and again. It's a great game for when you have a few minutes to kill and don't want to get too involved in anything. Not everyone will have the drive to climb the leaderboards, but I personally found it really engaging. If you're looking for a game that won't eat up too much of your time, pick this one up.

This game is so insane! It feels like I'm playing Brain Warp because whenever the game speeds up, you have to think very fast to move Pac-man.

You want to play Pac-Man? Because this is how you play Pac-Man. The classic arcade game you might've played all those years back has been updated to offer diverse ways of playing combined with leaderboards and different level layouts. For any fan of Pac-Man, you'll be playing this game alone so much, you'll eventually get arthritis because of how much you're carefully navigating the yellow chomper through these abundant yet glitzy mazes all the while avoiding those pesky ghosts.
