Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“In June 2016 we started looking for a publisher/investor to fund the completion of Interstellar Marines: Aspiration and help us release out of Early Access on Steam and port it onto PS4 and Xbox One consoles. Once we have finalized an investment/publishing agreement, we estimate 17 months from that date until Interstellar Marines: Aspiration is completed. We extremely honored to spend this time with you, the player, and share the experience all the way from pre-alpha to the release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Spearhead and Frontliner Editions will only be available in Early Access for those brave enough to support our quest to make the game of our dreams. For the full version we plan on having a Regular and Deluxe Edition. As far as features our plans for the full version include:

Update 25: Chameleon



Good Morning/Afternoon Marines!
This latest update to Interstellar Marines increases the value of your Combat Points (CP) by offering unlockable skins allowing you to blend in, or stick out, as much as you’d like.

Update 25 also adds a shining new menu interface and we've revamped the Introduction mission to include some of our new features.

We’ve added a new menu interface created with Unity 5's UI system and we’ve also managed to squeeze in the option to vote for map, gamemode and difficulty in both co-op and multiplayer.



In our brand new customization hub you’ll find a broad range of cool tactical skins, and you now earn Combat Points (CP) during missions, challenges and multiplayer to unlock them with.

In its new iteration Hell Week has been renamed Wargames, a more fitting name for our co-op, singleplayer and player-versus-player sandbox combat simulator in the making.

We’ve tweaked the server settings and added a new Wargame called Scavenge, where you can collect combat points 24/7. But look out - You are up against 128 bots as well as all the other skilled and tactical players!
  • Scavenge wargame is 55 minutes long.
  • Scavenged CP’s are collected when wargame ends.
  • Unlimited respawns



We’ve updated the Introduction mission to make sure new players get a more consistent first impression of the game and the features currently available. Revamped sections are shooting range, stealth test, crashed dropship mission simulation and we added a fun little stress test and maybe an Easter Egg or 2.

About This Game

Interstellar Marines is an immersive tactical sci-fi First Person Simulator in the making, offering a unique blend of tactical gameplay, dynamic environments and non-scriptet AI. Play Singleplayer or Co-op/PvP on servers around the world.

Interstellar Marines is inspired by movies such as Aliens, Starship Troopers and Saving Private Ryan; and games such as Half-Life, Deus Ex, System Shock 2, and Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield.

Interstellar Marines is all about evolving the FPS recipe with the inspirations we've assimilated since the birth of the genre. Our goal is an evolutionary leap forward driven by our compulsive interest in science fiction, role-playing, military realism, and respect for first person immersion.

Interstellar Warfare Initiative

It is the dawn of the 22nd century, a time of great hopes and expectations. The discovery of a new and inexhaustible well of power known as Zero Point Energy has revolutionized space travel. Man has escaped the confines of Mother Earth, and gone on to colonize the solar system.


But far away from public awareness an ambitious military project has already taken Man beyond the final frontier, and into the regions of the stars. The powerful Interplanetary Treaty Organization, ITO, is secretly constructing the first human settlement in another star system.

You are a special forces soldier training to join the Interstellar Marines, a part of the secret Interstellar Warfare Initiative being established to protect humanity against potential threats from the confines of the unknown universe.

It's time to evaluate the Interstellar Warfare Initiative and program evaluations are taking place at The Vault, ITO’s most advanced military facility on Earth enclosed deep beneath Groom Lake, Nevada. Supervised by SARA, ITO’s central neural network AI, SARA will program artificial weather and advanced combat training robots to test each warfare initiative to the limits.

This is where the game begins ...

7 Singleplayer/Co-op Missions

Play 5 co-op and single-player missions against unscripted AI with dynamic environment effects or two pivotal missions inside the Interstellar Marines universe, The NeuroGen Incident and Assault on Starcrown Aerospace. Play singleplayer or co-op with up to three friends in intense action with more co-op and singleplayer missions to come!

Wargames (Sandbox Combat Arena)

Unique sandbox combat arena in the making. Wargames is played across 9 distinct interconnected environment zones allowing 64 players to join in the scavenge for combat points, playing alone or in co-op. We have a special Wargames Steam Leaderboard which tracks Combat Points globally, monthly, and survivors of Wargames.

9 Unique Multiplayer Maps Across 3 Game Modes

Take your friends out in Deadlock, Deathmatch, and Team Deathmatch on maps featuring dynamic environment effects such as time of day, rain, thunder and lightning, emergency lighting, fire alarms, moving platforms etc.

Realistic Simulation

With a physics-based dynamic character controller there are no floating hands, and you can even see your feet! The physically present combat helmet has a HUD projected onto the visor and is affected by dust, rain, fogging, and damage. Aim down the sight for the long shots and use the tactical laser to assist aim when hip firing, as there are no artificial crosshairs to break immersion. Use the intuitive crouch and cover system; spacebar (default) peeks over cover, and looking down leans you forward to see over ledges. You can also shoot out the lights and prowl in darkness, or use the tactical flashlight if you’re afraid of the dark.

I highly recommend this game as I know I havent played it much but I really enjoy the gem mechiancs and the relisim side of the game. The movement Although not finished works smoothly plus the A.I. is very well worked out with there tracking abiltiy and sences to see light and sounds (gun fire). Keep up the good work guys at devoploping this game cant wait until you get the money to complete the game fininalise it and put it out as what i would call a very good and detailed game.

Some tips for the game tho - Make a few more missions add the A.I. big robots that ive seen in dev videos. But overall cant wait for the game to come out :)

This game is honestly really fun. The controls are responsive and the only reason that it has mixed reviews are because a lot of people are playing the game on potato PC's. The optimization is completely fine, but if you run it on a Mac of course it will run like complete crap!

Zero Point Soft, I love the concept of this, all the little details, like the condensation on the helmet, and the raising and lower of it, the little things like that are awesome and all, but right now there is nothing to this game. Nothing. The menu is lacklustre, so are the servers, speaking of servers, the multiplayer is so poorly made, and the co-op is no better. The co-op is what I want to talk about. If you die, you can't respawn. (atleast from what I've experienced) Plus, if you join late, you have to spawn from the start and slowly make your way through empty room after empty room to try and catch up. You guys really need to get working on gameplay, update the HUD immersion later on.

I'll start the review off by saying this. This game has been in development for a very, very long time. You'll see that in every other review and it's true, it has. Outside of that, the game itself feels spectacular. The controls are there, the visuals are there, the atmosphere is there. It needs content, that's all. It needs things to do, it needs other things to shoot at beside the same faceless robot and run the same missions, but it's all there.

I want this game to succeed.

So here are my first impressions after a little playing.
This game is about shooting robots. The difficulty levels are challenging. Controller support is very very basic, and some button mappings are broken. There are no animations to interact with the world objects (push keys, grab objectives, pick up ammo...). Servers seems to be dead. Impressive level of detail in some things. Camera and visual effects looks very nice. Menu and interface design quality are good. I really want this game to improve. I believe it has solid basics to become a top rated game, it just needs a consistent, and involving, storyline; some intro sequencies, varied types of enemies and a little gameplay improvements. I recommend this game but honestly, it looks like there is a lot of work to put on to have a finished product ready.

I honestly believe this game has a lot of potential, and I like the interface and how they really focused on the tiny details (in particular I love the helmet effects).

But, if I was to be honest, I wouldn't recommend this to my friends. Its been in developement for too long, and at some point you have to face facts. The developers are adding to the details of the game, but the overall game... just isn't there. Games like Insurgency, ARMA, Battlefield, (and hell even COD) get the focus of their games right. This game has no real focus.

Its been in developement too long, and I just don't see it going down a path where its going to turn into the game that I think everyone hoped it would be all of a sudden.

I really want this game to survive, there's three developers, low income, no publisher and basically everything bad that can happen to a developer has happened to these guys. This game's concept is brilliant, the future plans are amazing and I really hope this game can be saved.

I'm gonna buy Spearhead Edition very soon, not for the perks, but so that maybe I can help in at least the slightest.

Yes, fellow steam user; The game is a tactical FPS with some sort of horror element to it that I personally love.
The sound of robotic footsteps, beeping noises and loud sirens makes for a sureal experience where keeping your eyes open and your ears active is crucial for your success. There's also PvP multiplayer which, currently isn't too enjoyable.
It's not all that boring, but currently there isn't much that can change the experience enough for it to be very different each game.
All-in-all it's a great game, and with the addition of camos to keep me coming back, I hope that this game becomes the well known, great game that it deserves to be.
And if that's what the game finally becomes after years of breakdowns and challenges, I want to be one of the people who stood up and said that we believed in it.

I bought this game on January 2014. I wanted to support the devs because I really liked the concept, but after 3 years is more or less the same.... I hope the game eventually gets finished, but untill then, I can`t recommend it.

In 2014 i bought this game and also bought the Spearhead DLC to help the devs to complete this game, but sadly its dying out and i feel like my money went to waste. Game has very good graphics and love the scenery that surrounds it. Just hope that the devs adds more updates and they get the funding and the motiviation to do so.
