Let me start out by saying i am not a big fan of 2D side scrollers. I have played these kind of games to death through out the 80s and 90s. So they have worn me out. This is probably one of the very few (Beisdes Limbo) that i actaully enjoyed. I heard a lot of comparisons to Castlevania SOTN. Its a very well done game and has made me reconsider my stance on these types of games and to take a closer look at more of them.

It's a well done story with a very well done combat system. Solid Voice acting with plenty to do in it. I definitly recomend this game if you are like me and have grown stale of 2D style games. This has made me want to try more of them.

I enjoyed this game so much back on the xbox360 that I just had to buy it once more for pc.
The visuals are stunning, gameplay is smooth and filled with fast paste combat and there is quite some lore aswell. I'd love to sum up some bad things about this game but nothing comes to mind. It is an absolute masterpiece!

Bought this game on sale, It was good. The best hack n slash side scrolling game I've played so far. It felt good when you slash your way through hordes of enemies. The voice acting is amazing, however the cutscenes feels like I'm playing an adobe flash player game (the characters are all really stiff). The landscapes are beautiful though. The story itself is well.... normal I guess? I didn't get the feel and didn't quite get it (There are too much question not answered). The ending is quite weird though............ Alas it was a good game. I wish the game was longer and more story telling. The gameplay mechanic is awesome and it's really comfortable playing without a controller. Looking forward for a sequel or prequel of the game. There are still 4 blades of elysium yet have to been revealed ;)

If there were more games in the world with such perfect and fluid gameplay, modern society would collapse.

I purchased this game during the Summer Sale and at £2.40, this was a steal.

I have only played the game for 2 hours (at the time of this review) and I must say that I am impressed. The visuals are something to be admired and the combat, whilst can be somewhat repetitive to some people, is near flawless. The story, from what I've delved into is also interesting.

I'd certainly recommend this if you're looking for a cheap alternative to kill some time.

Buy the Game.
Play the Game.
Regret finishing the Game.
Replay it again for nostaligic feels and tears.
Many tears.

Overall, this game is everything you can want in a game. It's engaging. It has a certain level of difficulty that you eventually will overcome with practice. And the side characters are so engaging and unique, that you almost believe they are your everyday folk that you seen in real life. Dust and Fidget, the main characters, have a funny and unique relationship. You'll look forward to all the anime cut scenes within the game because they always almost make you laugh.

Now what are you doing? Buy the game! Play it! And lose yourself in this wonderfully drawn, gaming world!

Good stuff all around, with lots of sidequest if you're into that.

The combat, while satisfying, also doesn't really change much at all once you get the general flow of things, so it tends to get a bit repetitive towards the end.

Dust himself is my favorite character. It's rare for me to ever like the main character more than everyone else, but he's a cool guy.

The game has pretty environments and a well-made UI, altough the character designs could use a bit more care and detail for the most part, but it is understandable as this game was made mostly by a one-man team!

All in all, a great Metroidvania game with enjoyable combat and exploration.

I love love love love love this game! <3
I played through this game twice with a gap in between of about a year, and when I played through it for the second time I fell in love all over again.

The story is amazing not to mention the gameplay. The controls are quick and easy to learn (I used an Xbox controller).
Through beautifully made backdrops, from dark caverns to fiery mountains, you will journey through the world as Dust discovers about who he is. This was my first side scroller game and I have loved every second of it, (apart from a few frustrating moments, which are still super satisfying when you succeed!).
100% recommend this game!

Honestly, this game is beautiful, the gameplay is extremely fluid combat is very fun and the metroidvania style is really well represented in the level design. The Sidekicks are pretty funny, the Nimbat is hilarious and her often silly behavior is a wonderful choice in contrast to Dust's cool demeanor.

This game's story is really surprising, you can run through it, jaded, and ignore it if you want, the gameplay is fun enough and the personal evolution of your character and his choices by themselves are worth the price of admission, but if you start paying attention you'll uncover a rich plot covering issues like Racism, the Moral Struggle of Absolute Justice vs Acceptance, and little a brother not accepting the guy his older sister likes.

The story, 30% in, is enough to start some conversations with a friend or gaming significant other :)

The game will get a full 10 from me because for what it's worth, I can't find a problem with it worth nitpicking, but broken down this would be my score.

Gameplay 9
Menus 9
Replayability 9
Graphics 10
Story 10

This one the First Games I got 100% Achievement!

It's a good game, worth every second on it.
I bought in Summer Sale but if I knew it was that good I would bought in full price.

Anyways about the game:
The fluidity of the game is simple perfect . You can choose either straight and ignore or wipe everything.
Doesn't have so many bs and impossible bosses or achievements in fact I got 100% in the first run.
And Even so i would play it again.

The game itself has good soundtrack
Enjoyable Graphics
A nice repetitive battle mechanics( if you choose that)
NO LOADING SCREENS of 25sec ( you wait at maximum 3~5sec inload game and even suggesting you have bad pc as mine
Elements of Rpg (Basic stuff)
And a Tolerable story ( It s not bad or good. But you will respect it ) (+-)

In conclusion
Gameplay 10/10
Graphics 9/10
Sountrack 9/10
Story 8/10
