About This Game

The United States has a military presence in two-thirds of countries around the world, and some of them have had enough. A group of terrorists calling themselves The Engineers initiate a terror ultimatum called the Blacklist - a deadly countdown of escalating attacks on U.S. interests.

Key Features

Operate without Restrictions
Sam is back in his tactical suit and goggles, and he’s more lethal and agile than ever. Granted the freedom to do whatever it takes to stop the Blacklist, Sam flies from exotic locales to U.S. cities as he races against the clock to find out who’s behind this devastating threat.

Own Your Play Style
Splinter Cell Blacklist builds on the stealth roots of the franchise, while exploring new directions to embrace the realms of action and adventure. Players can define their personal play styles and be rewarded for those choices.
  • Ghost players want to remain undetected.
  • Assault players rely on instincts and frontal blow to deal with a situation.
  • Panther players look for lethality in the most efficient and silent way.

Tools of the Trade
Take down The Engineers by using new gadgets such
as the upgraded Snake Cam and Micro-trirotor Drone. Splinter Cell Blacklist is also bringing back fan-favorites like the Sticky Shocker and the brutal, curved Karambit knife. Fans of stealth will be happy to make the most of Sam’s sneaking abilities to abduct and carry enemies, while Killing In Motion allows the player to strike with surgical precision by marking and executing multiple enemies in one fluid motion.

Build a New Echelon
Sam is building a whole new Echelon unit; his team, his way. Anna “Grim” Grimsdottir is his technical operations manager, CIA operative Isaac Briggs brings additional firepower, and resident hacker Charlie Cole rounds out the crew. 4th Echelon is a fully mobile ops unit with unlimited resources and cutting-edge technology aboard the re-purposed stealth airliner, the Paladin.

Enjoy a Fully Integrated Experience
Sam and his team are aware of terrorist attacks in real time thanks to the Strategic Mission Interface (SMI). The SMI allows 4th Echelon to receive data about mission objectives while on the move. With the SMI, players can take advantage of the universal game economy system that allows players to fully customize and upgrade Sam, his suit, goggles, weapons, the Paladin and much more.

Spies vs. Mercs Returns
Spies vs. Mercs is back with an new take on asymmetrical gameplay. Players will be able to face off in teams of 4 all the while creating their very own Spy or Merc according to their playstyles via thorough customization elements. The original Classic Spies vs. Mercs experience also makes its long awaited comeback for the fans.

COOP
With the SMI, the lines are blurred between the single campaign and COOP as the narrative is deepened with Sam and Briggs. Earn in-game currency and unlock additional weapons or gadgets via specialized missions assigned by Grim, Briggs, Charlie and Kobin.

FOR ANYONE WHO CAN'T CONNECT TO COOP AND MULTIPLAYER DO THE STEPS IN THIS VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3QvFGExQTk

This game was released in 2013 and it looks like it could of come out this year. Unbelievably great graphics. The game is also very fun and challenging. It is also fun in multiplayer and coop.

Love the game! It's great! Except multiplayer doesn't work for me. I've contacted Ubi and steam both are unwilling to help me or give me a new key. I bought the DLC and one of my keys was already redeemed... I Cannont connect to anything online and I've tried all the fixes I can find online.. Game rocks. Ubi Blows. Steam you're in the middle.

Good game, i miss the hold Splinter Cell whole intelligence gathering think that is missing here but it's a good game.

Levels are designed a bit "on rails" but you still have some options to go past them.

Multiplayer is not very much populated but still you can have soe fun matches...at least in classic mode were there are fewer cheaters (and Ubisoft doesn't care about oviusly).

Conviction was fun but not very Splinter Cell like, so I wasn't really expecting anything great here. However, they seem to have got the best parts of conviction and mixed it with the best parts of the old games, and I'm loving it so far.
I've chosen to go down the non lethal stealth route, but if you fancied going guns blazing for example, you'd get rated on a different set of rules and still earn a nice sum of money.

The money system is extremely similar to Payday 2 (down to ShadowNet as the mission selection as opposed to CrimeNet, I'm not sure which came first), and it seems to work really well. It gives you something to work towards without witholding anything important (like having no goggles for most of conviction), even if it's just for the stats since everything pretty much looks the same.

So far I've not had a chance to try coop (we're doing the campaign to get kitted out in better stuff first), but in Conviction I had more fun in coop than I did with the campaign, so hopefully it'll be the same here. One downside is that the new look and voice actor for Sam Fisher just makes it feel like you're playing a generic spy, but he's still pretty badass at least.

It's a great game. I am so glad to see that they tried to go back to the roots of SC series.

It's still more action oriented game than the first games of the series, but at least you have a choice to play (well, most of the time) without killing the enemies. But hey! The gun-play of this game is very well done, so why not shoot at the bad guys? Silently. Most of the time (If you have the patience).

I really liked the story, the characters and the bad guys. The side missions are very bland. All of them have very simple objectives and most of the time you don't have a room to do things your way. And every story mission had the same "mission checklists", I guess the developers were a bit lazy in that aspect.

There are a lot of gadgets to choose from to help you in the field. There are a lot of weapons to suit your killing style. Armor pieces - too. I really like that stuff in games. And yeah, you can even upgrade some of it too. So. Lots of options for the players.

At certain moments of the game I felt like I was playing Assassin's Creed or Mass Efffect, or even Batman: Arkham Knight. This game has a handful of good little pieces from those games in a good way.

Even tho this game feels quite open-worldly, but at the same time it's pretty linear. There are not much room for creativity. But it didn't bother me. actually.

Oh! And Sam Fisher has a new voice. The very first second I thought that he is Arnold Schwarzenegger (ahaha), but after a few missions it grew on me and everything was fine.

Overall I would rate this game a 8.5/10. Good graphics and sound to be sure, good realism. The controls get a bit clunky at times when dodge from cover to cover but it still works well. The AI in the game is pretty good. The voice acting is decent as is the story line. I got a good 20 hrs gametime out of it completing the campaign. I did a few of the extra missions given out by the other members of the team, but overall those missions were diifficult and annoying. Many of the missions really force you to use stealth because if you do not then you get ganged up on by another 15 enemies and little remote control car bombs rush at you from every direction. Some of these missions actually abort if you are discovered. I gave up on completing many of those becaue I would get to the end and not be able to finish.

Single player 9/10 amazing game.
Multiplayer / co-op is actually unplayable, now especially because nobody plays the game.
Since the game's released the multiplayer has been too laggy to play...And no, it's not just me.
Only buy this game if you're interested in single player- which is pretty damn good. But seeing as how I bought this game for the multiplayer I have to give this game a negative review.

I am a normal human who is not some super games geek who plays at tough levels. I play 1-2 hours a week, I like games which are cool, run quite well and feel contemporary-ish in terms of plot and action and move along at a fair pace. This game rocks.

Splinter Cell Blacklist is the sixth game in the Splinter Cell series. It is also a return to the more stealth driven gameplay after the more action driven fifth game Conviction.

Pros:
-More Freedom to complete objectives your own way using either Pure Stealth, Pure Combat or a mixture of both.
-Great looking game with pretty good performance.
-Good storyline and voice acting.

Cons:
-Uplay is still rubbish
-No Michael Ironside as Sam Fisher, but the new actor actually does really good job.
-Mulitplayer isnt that active if you live outside of the United States.

After Conviction being the weakest game in the series so far, it was really good to see Blacklist make a real return to form for the Splinter Cell series.
It was so good it ended up being my second favourite Splinter Cell game behind Choas Theory.

Highly Recommended.

Final Score: 8 out of 10.

Great stealth game with very decent shooting. Unfortunately the progression/unlocks system are not as good as the gameplay, the menus are very confusing at first and their "challenges" are a joke to be laughed at. I also got to NOT watch the final cutscene because Ubisoft decided it was not worth patching their bugs... Shame on you!
Despite all that, the game is good and definitely worth to be bought at discounted price. Double that if you have a friend you can play co-op with.
