Prime World Patch 10.3 Preview

Dear nobles! Patch 10.3 is around the corner and we are going to uncover some of the upcoming changes. Let’s start with the most interesting!

Influence of Power in Matchmaking

We have received a lot of feedback and ideas from you, on how to change matchmaking so as to take Power into account when searching for battle. We have carefully considered all your suggestions and eventually decided to implement the following changes.

With version 10.3, matchmaking will search characters in such a way that the average Power of each team is at approximately the same level. The new condition does not abolish battle search by rank, but complements it. It will be applied only in Borderlands and only for ranks where the Power difference would reach critical amounts, thus heavily affecting gameplay – i.e. all ranks up to and including Captain.
Improving Soldier behavior in battle

Earlier it would sometimes occur that soldier aggression was incorrectly distributed among enemies nearby. Thus sometimes soldiers would not react to auto-attacks on an allied hero, yet quickly react to damage from talents. These aspects were reworked and soldier behavior in battle became more clear and straightforward. I.e.: soldiers only react to auto-attacks against an allied character. Attack talents and spells will not affect their aggression. This seemingly small change should cardinally change early game experience for many heroes.

This is but a small part of what awaits you in Patch 10.3. We will soon tell you more about the upcoming changes. Stay tuned!

Always Your
Prime World Team

It has been a long time since Praia had been so heated! Battles against enemy heroes and soldiers, against ravaging beasts and monsters continue around the clock and on all fronts. The time has come for an only daughter of a mighty lord to marry. Rumour about her beauty and virtue has carried news of this development all over Praia. But how can a beautiful, smart, well-mannered and virtuous young lady marry a random stranger?

Which is why her caring father set up a great contest to find the very best for his only child. An experienced warrior himself, the Lord has set difficult tasks for the contenders – and merits in Borderlands alone will not suffice!

To all contenders

I really wanted to like this game -- the characters are fascinating, and it does have good gameplay. But this is one of the most cynical MOBAs out there. Take League of Legends, and cross it with some of the more obnoxious Facebook games. Energy mechanics to play specific characters (although you can spend in-game cash to reset them), Farmville mechanics to gather resources necessary to get boosts.

Rather than League's runes, masteries, and normal 'Q/W/E/R' levelling, you set up 36 possible levels in their own Rune system -- but those runes have Gacha style randomness, different levels of rarity / effectiveness, and you can combine runes together to level them up to level 5. These set up the level up bonuses that you get in match -- and their strength also contributes to the normal level up bonuses you get.

At all steps you're given incentives to pay money -- money can get you double XP towards your characters to increase their stats in a small way, double your rune drops, turn off the green (common, and incredibly weak) drops entirely, and many other things. While this game is ostensibly free to play...it's incredibly pay to win, as well. A person who spends money can buy some legendary runes to start off with that are a good headstart, buy the ability to pick up runes more easily, and buy the ability to get their resources faster to level things up.

The gameplay is fun...but I can't continue to play it with just how horrible the metagame is. Add to this the fact that the game is mostly popular in Russia and other Asian countries, with no regional servers--so you will almost always be matched with 3 or 4 players that do not speak your language, and it's just not for me anymore.

Was a fun game until everything in North America showed up in Russian after april 2nd. Can't tell if its an improvement or indication that the servers gave up trying to find a player base of anyone other then Russians.

Company seems confused, Play Dota or League, or Infinite crisis , Heck Heroes of the Storm. Just dont expect much with this game. They took half of everyones buildings away, gave everyone and Empty castle, and the most recent champion was Mr Freeze. ( Carbon Copy look alike from Arnolds Batman Mr Freeze )

Had a few fun games thats it.

I have played Prime World since its infancy on west - the game offers lot of customization through talent system which is great this is probablies the best part of the game and worst part of the game same time, why? Because it makes you grind so much for good talents and you have to get them for all characters your about to play, this leads to huge player level caps in que system.

When you have very big difference is in skill cap terms of talents, you need bigger pool of players for the game, because otherwise you end up playing very unbalanced matches all the time = this is what the game is now.

Also i have to say that the graphics are decent, but not best par with current MOBA competition, there is little to no customization when it comes to graphical setings, no anti-alias and colorblind modes are present.

Castle building can be fun for while, it is certainly thing to hate or love, it lets you actually do something while you in que for the game which is super nice. I have to say hero designs are really bland and they make hardly any effort to be unique or very interesting to play (Invoker, Mina, Lee Sin and Orianna).

I think the game had potential, but i think talent system limits balanced matches, games high skin prices are also to be taken consideration when choosing a moba as well. I have to give it thumbs down, since you can't give neutral between thumbs up :/

hmmm i hate how unbalanced is this game. not only in champions mechanics but also in the matchmaking... i just comeback because i got freegold somehow and i want to play with that witch+cat hero, plus i believe that if i improve i will be in the other side of the game regardless of the hero... oh and i dont know if its my internet but im laggy sometimes... i only play it for fun and variety but if you really want to play a moba seriously better check LoL or DOTA

One day I was tired of Dota and decided to play this.. thing. It is a horrible ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ son of Dota, LoL and Farmville. It could work out, if the developers decided to make something good and playable and interesting. Who would like to have his own castle? But developers weren't interested in making a game - they want to make cash, as much and as soon as possible. So, you either spend months to get needed items, to build your castle, to buy new heroes, to get needed items... or you can spend a buck or two (or few hundreds). The game always reminds you of thiss possibility. "looks like you are building a house to store your items.. spend some cash and you won't have to wait 5 hours to finish it".

Last time i played i faced this guy who summons dogs with a lot of health and just kill everything. you cant run away from them either because their movement speed is off the charts...you just die... When i posted that it was super unbalanced, the crap community said otherwise because they all play that character while beating their meat. Literally just another garbage game where the d-♥♥♥♥♥ circle jerk.

Prime World suffers from a few major problems.

1: It is free to play with mechanics that strongly benefit paying customers.
2: It is a MOBA. Yes this is a problem. MOBAs aren't inherently bad games but they are made so by the horrid userbase that plays them. People are far too competetive and simply joining random games with the intent of having fun seems rare/impossible most of the time. The game is targetted at hardcore gamers so if you aren't a hardcore MOBA gamer stay away.
3: Progression feels too grindy. Games like this, which rely on players being put on fairly equal footing, stick in leveling+progression almost arbitrarily. Sure your heroes get stronger but you're only ever put onto the playing field with others in your general tier of power, which makes progression much less about empowering your character and more about pigeon-holing you against stronger opponents (the more you play the more competetive+less fun the game becomes).

Basically stay away from this game if you're not a hardcore MOBA player. It is just not fun for casual play.

I am really sorry to say so, but the game runs slow, the idea to have two different factions is not really clever cause so i can't get the skins i want cause some are better for the one, and some are better for the other faction.

And worst is the community of the "hardcore" -gamers! Those are not only foul mouthed but also rasistic influenced!
I played 3 games and was insulted every single time by at least 2 or three other players....

An unusual MOBA akin to the older WC3 Dota maps. Instead of making linear 6 item builds, the game utilizes a 'Talent' tree, each rank from 1-7 offering 5 appropriate level 'skills'. These 'skills' can be actives, such as actual abilities, or passive boosts, such as regen, chance to hit effects, strength boosts, etc. These skills can be switched out outside of the game for ones you're awarded from games, or craft. They come with raritiest ranging from yellow, to legendary oranges.

The game mixes a combination of MOBA, rts, and 'MMORPG' elements, sometimes a little inneffectioally. Regardless, its a fun game, and the leveling is loose like Heroes of the Storm, with the ability to craft your own custom hero, essentially, with the classes being more a 'guide' than hard core choice.

Perhaps not as competitive as other MOBAs, one to be enjoyed by more casual or grind-enjoying enthusiasts. The one downside is the lack of NA population, resulting in quite alot of matches with Russians.
