About This Game

Thousands of giant insects and aliens once again ravage the earth, and only the Earth Defense Force can stop them. Defend the city of New Detroit against an infestation bigger and meaner than ever before. Destroy these monsters at all costs, even if it means turning entire city blocks into rubble!
Enjoy raw arcade shooter satisfaction on a gigantic modern scale. Collect over 300 weapons: assault rifles, rocket launchers, energy weapons, sniper rifles, grenade launchers and more! Play with 4 upgradeable armor types: Jetpack, Battle, Tactical, and Trooper. Experience Massive replayability through arcade style scoring, tons of weapons to collect, and multiple difficulty levels in every game mode!
In addition, the game also features a six player Survival mode that pits a human squad against a nonstop onslaught of the largest enemies the aliens have to offer. New Detroit’s giant bug problem is unavoidable, and mankind’s last hope lies with the Earth Defense Force. Defend the world from the insect invasion, even if it means blowing up the entire city as part of the extermination process.
Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon and the soldiers are equipped better than ever in the latest cult classic iteration that follows in the footsteps of Earth Defense Force 2017 (Japanese Title “Earth Defense Force 3” developed by Sandlot), and Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon continues the rich history and hardcore fun of the series.

This game is good, but there are thousands of bugs and it gets really annoying. I cant play the game for a minute without coming accross a bug, and it gets very frustrating.

EDF is an utterly dumb and mediocre looking game. But it is also a game that I play very often because it is just straight out fun. It is like a movie from Uwe Boll, but underneath the less than stellar packaging lies a very enjoyable experience.
A very solid 8.5/10 for me.

I played the xbox version of this game and beat it with all the classes. I just started playing the PC version and it feels much better. I has better weapons and more everything. I've been a EDF fan way back modding my PS2 to play the import version of the EDF games. It's not the orig EDF by no means but has allot of good elements. That being said it is worth the 12 bucks it cost and everyone who hasn't played a EDF should and with friends. I had no problems with this game online and off (There is allot to be said about that) The PC version gets a big thumbs up compared to the console version. Only wish the 4k video setting worked. That's to only bad thing I can say about the game. Give it a try and wait until you get to teir 3 weapons before you give the judgement. Enjoy!

"You're it until you're dead or I find someone better!"

Spiders and ticks and ants, OH MY! Where do I start? Bugs, guns, some kind of invisible wall? Seriously fun game that doesn't take itself too serious. This game is well worth the full price.

A third person shooter that's easy to pick up and as fun to play solo as it is with friends. Select one of four unique armors, choose from over 200 weapons, and get ready to kick some major bug butt.

Once on the field, the commentary between allies and the tips provided by the higher ups will have you laughing everytime.

As for those that typically avoid ports for their many faults and issues, you'll find none of that here. Outside of one spelling error this game is near flawless. Complete key binding, full controller support, and satasfactory graphics settings.

If this game is considered one of the weaker Earth Defense Force games, I can't wait to play the other ones because I absolutely love this game.

It feels kindof like Starship Troopers. The missions are quite long and feel like mini-movies. Kill the space ants!

It's almost 3 years after it's release, and they still kick ♥♥♥.

Like Arcade ish gameplay? Check.
Like Explosions...And Lot's Of them? Check
Like Shotguns that have HOMING pellets? Sure!
Like Killing Bugs With a MIRV Missile? It's here!
Aaand many more!

When Ameican Studios Touch Japanese games, They tend to make it WORSE (Take example of Ace combat Assault horizon, it makes the Ace combat look like "Call of duty in skies" They messed up too much, and especially Too many DLCs) But this one, Not many has changed....I'm impressed.
The Campaign is fun, but it's more fun if you're with your friend! And no tutorial needed, You proably know how an FPS Work, So yeah, BLAST THEM TO PIECES!
Although The gun sounds are quite decent, graphics are decent, almost everything is decent, But they're similliar to Sandlot's (The makers of the Japanese EDF games) EDF Games.

PROS
-FAST PACED INTENSE ACTION
-LOTS OF BUGS! (Litterally!)
-MANY WEAPONS!
-CHEESY DIALOUGES!
-EVERYTHING YOU SEE CAN BE DESTROYED!
-UNIQUE WEAPONS!

CONS
-Gun Sounds are....Okay, but not good.
-The soundtrack Needs to Be LOUDER
- Weapon World models are kinda limited
- Kinda Feels "Lonely"
- Multiplayer Seems Dead.

9/10 WOULD BUY!!

AND PORT THE OTHER EDF TO PC!

Thanks to a certain Swede, I have to make a better review.
EDF was originally released as a Simple series game like Puzzle Quest. The Simple series was relatively cheap and varied wildly in quality. This is the first and only game in the series that wasn't developed by Sandlot.
It's an FPS where you shoot giant bugs with various weapons while wearing power armor with various abilities.
There's also a bad end which my friends and I got after our playthrough.
All in all, pretty fun. A nice gem and definitely underappreciated. I'd recommend checking out the other games in the series.
