Strider is one of Capcom franchise that been on arcade in 1989.
This is a 2D Side scrolling hack & slash game. It's a mixed of Megaman + Castelvania or Metroid.
There are various skills and items to unlock in the game.
Some item can't be reached at first because you have to unlock it with a certain skill.
You will explore all the places over and over again because you just got a new skills.
The boss fight isn't hard if you have know the pattern.

I love this type of game because I love to play any game alike.

Strider is awesome, fans of the original and indeed any of the side scrolling classics such as castlevania or metroid will feel right at home playing this game, its is the kind of game one can get familiar with and speed run, at its highest dificulty i'd say only the mecha gorilla and the last boss pose a threat, but that doesnt mean to say the game is easy, i'd say its enjoyable enough for veterans of the genre to blaze their way through and intuitive enough that allows beginners to settle in and enjoy this awesome hack/slash/shoot rpg platformer.

All the characters and levels are beautifully sculpted and the game really excels in its overall visual appeal.
Controls are smooth and on point.

My only gripe is there is really no replayability unless you are trying to do speed runs, once you unlock evrything and finish the main story that is it, i guess that isnt a bad thing per say i just felt that perhaps there could be chalenge levels or even a level editor to it.

i'll give Strider a solid 8/10

certainly a game you should experience once in your life.

Possibly the best side scrolling action game I've ever played.

+ Amazing fast paced action
+Very fluid movements that feel good and allow easy mastery (With controller)
+Interesting game mechanics and level design, very large complex levels with many areas that have occasional platforming challenges.
+Enemies are smart and can be tough
+Many powerups, moves and unlockable skins, etc.
+ Fairly good enemy variety
+ Fun and interesting Boss battles

Other than that there is not much in the way of story, its mostly cheesy non-sense but its ok. Also the "fast travel" system is quite pointless and not very accesible to use.

Excellent game that is very cheap nowadays and worth picking up without hesitation.

This game has a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ spike of difficulty even on normal, if you're not good at these type of games forget you'll finish it on normal, it was so stupidly difficult going through this game but I managed. It is a good smooth game though, odd level design some times, it's definitely worth a buck (humble bundle) but be prepared to get your ♥♥♥ kicked.

Only my friends are gonna see this review since the game is old so this information is for them.

If you own this game but haven't started it up you're ♥♥♥♥ing up in life.

Game kicks so much ♥♥♥.

Don't bother getting all the tedious collectables though, it was insufferable. Everything else rules.
