Quake III Team Arena is the expansion pack for Quake III Arena which includes more maps, modes, and characters and is also a true FPS classic just like Quake III Arena. Both Quake III Arena and Quake III Team Arena will always be one of my most favorite FPS games and it's fun never stops.

10/10 A true FPS Classic. :D

Q3:TA adds a ton of great maps, game modes, bots that learn, etc. Fun way to play Quake3. Only downside is no custom resolution support out of the gate (4:3 video modes are all that seem to work. My monitor uses 16:10 (1650x1050) and there's no option for it so I'm playing windowed 1024x768. Other than that Q3:TA is a pretty fun FPS.

Classic shooter that has a lot of features and design choices that appear to be lost to time

Grab it, go to playmorepromode.org and download CPMA. Then experience a movement system that is still unparalleled in terms of pure freedom

This is a wonderful game and I highly recommend that if you haven't played it you buy the game. The movement system and gunplay in this game is genius and revolutionized the FPS genre when the game came out. Skills learned in this game translate nicely into other competitive shooters like CS and Insurgency. This game is unforgiving and lots of fun. The brutal gameplay forces you to get better or die repeatedly. When you have mastered the game the feeling of superiority is very satisfying and makes you a better player in all FPS games. Highly recommend.

A good companion to Q3A that is as awesome and just as much as a classic as its counterpart. Includes some weapons that don't actually appear in Q3A.

A classic indeed, a lot of old school FPS fun. I can't help but come back to it very often. There is also a large mod community with this game. Tottaly Reccomended!

This is seriously my favorite first person shooter of all time. I love unreal tournament, which seems to take a lot from Quake 3. This is the most fun I've ever had at a LAN party hands down. Seriously good stuff. ~PR0XIDIAN

Pretty decent game. Even now. The graphics, of course, are sub-par, but that doesn't matter. The game itself is what matters. The gameplay is pretty fast paced, and there are quite a few guns. The railgun is my favorite, it shoots a straight shot and does a decent amount of damage. And yes, you can even rocket jump (I believe this game may be where rocket jumping started). Anyway, good game, fast paced shooter, controls well. It's a little buggy sometimes though. But there's a fix. (If you buy it and when you start it shows the steam community thing in the bottom right corner, set your mode to offline, and press ` and type in vid_restart. The reason you have to set your mode to offline, is so no one messages you. Because if they do, it will glitch again.) Anyway, great game. You should buy it (unless you don't want to).
