80% cutscenes, 10% gameplay and 10% more seeking for Sasuke. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 is a great visual novel, sure you get to fight some people but we all know that the cutscenes are the real thing.

I recommend this to any SasukexNaruto fans

I just got this and have not played it for long but reason being preformance when I play I get screen tearing and low fps alltho the fps thing makes it feel more laggy than skip N stop I have windows 10, i5 6600, 16 gb ram, gtx 970, its likely not my specs I would think this is a pretty good pc not the best port, I have been looking and I've not found a fix if I find one I will update just felt that this should be know none of the reviews here that I saw spoke about the bad performance leading me to think that there is a fix but I cant find it if I dont find one ill return it be wary window 10 users (and another thing to add I've only played vs cpu trying to fix this turning off supersampling and vsync and full screen and lower res makes it better but it's still not great at all and thats a crappy fix anyway) [ >UPDATE > I did not find a fix so ill say it again if you are a windows 10 and nvidia user be wary if your a window 7 and amd gpu (Nvidia users may still have issues but treatable) user you can probably give it a shot]

I got it because it has a better ending than the "cannon" ending. Seriously, chapter 700, and everything after that was a ♥♥♥♥ in the face

Faithfully tells the story of the anime from after the end of the Pain arc through the Great Ninja War. The plot part of the game can be nailed in less than ten hours; then the game goes into "free roaming" mode, which is essentially RPG-lite.

For fans of the anime who don't mind revisiting the plot (or who stopped watching at the end of Pain arc), it's amusing enough. The combat is largely satisfying, if nothing too original or ground-breaking.
There's at least one boss-fight that is a terrible exception though - where the combat design seems to have taken a jump back 16 years: Instead of a fun fight, instead you're stuck repeating the same ultimate move again and again and again to chip down an enemy's ridiculously over-large health bar - while your attacks are inexplicably ♥♥♥♥-weak for the first time in the game. The game instantly stops being fun at that point and becomes a massive chore where you've got to memorise attack patterns and slowly grind away like it's a game out of the late 90s.

The RPG elements aren't great - it's cool walking around the Hidden Leaf, etc, but the world's pretty small and most of the quests involve wandering around the same areas blindly until you stumble over such-and-such an item. Some of the quests are unclear about what you're supposed to do - which makes it feel even more aimless.
Also refuses to give you quests all at the same time - literally forcing you to retrace your steps for absolutely no reason other than to pad the game's play-time by a tedious extra 10 hours.

The gameplay is pretty fun on the whole, and it's cool to revist the anime; but there's questionable depth to it, and the franchise seems to be rendering older entries obsolete with each sequel, making it of questionable value to spend time exploring every odd corner of the game, etc.

For people completely new to the anime, this isn't the best place to start. You'd be better off streaming Naruto anime online; then move on to streaming Naruto Shippuden before moving onwards. It's not that the plot is hard to follow, or anything, just that there's hundreds and hundreds of episodes of the anime that cover plot before this game is set - and a lot of the backstory simply isn't covered in this game.
On the other hand, if you just want a quick silly anime-themed 3D fighter to mess around with - then you might find you like the setting enough to go back and check out the anime instead.

Generally, I'd say steer clear of this game unless it's ridiculously cheap and you literally have nothing better to do. And be ready to drop it as soon as it becomes a drag, as there's a lot of content that is even more boring than the time wasted unlocking it.

I'd suggest using a gamepad to play this game (I use a generic gamepad with X360CE and it works flawlessly); as a 3D fighter it uses both thumb-sticks as well as a D-pad simultaneously, so a fight-stick won't be optimal. I gather that players using the keyboard are enjoying the game fine though, so YMMV.

Definitely recommend this game to anyone who is into Narutoverse. Great game with great storyline adoption from the manga. One can claim that a lot of these animations are even better than the anime itself! It also have a very complete storyline to play with. Even with 16 hours in, there are still missions that I've yet to complete.

This is a great game. I have one problem with it though...why does it have music and voice volume settings, but not general sound volume settings? Like, I'll have the music and voices down really low, but while fighting, the attacks are SUPER loud. And there is no way to change that that I've been able to find. A bit of a design flaw if you ask me.

And before you say "Just turn down the volume on your computer", the reason I'm complaining about this is because it makes it extremely difficult to talk to people while playing. Because during a fight, and even just scrolling through the game mode select screen, the game is all you can hear.

This is my review for 2016 even though this game came out in 2013 which is three years from now.
This is the best NARUTO STORM GAME with everything that everyone likes besides the character roster because everyone wants more to be in roster but there is mods though. Its ONE OF THE BEST NARUTO STORM GAME TO PICK UP FOR $7.50 and dont buy storm 4 if your new but buy this game as it captures what every naruto storm game needs, but as of right now, the online is kind of dead as u rarely see anyone playing online now, There is some people hosting endless, player, and ranked matches,so pick up this game right now for it amazing SALE!!!
Also Feel Free To Add Me If You Want To Play Naruto Storm 3 Online With Me.

├Honest Review┤
Review is based on current state of game.

Game Pros
• 89-90 Characters to choose from (All featured in the anime/Manga)
• Bonus support characters (Non-Playable)
• In-Depth story following the Naruto Storyline
• Online play
• Online leveling system
• Various game modes (Story, Versus, Tournament)
• Tons of intense attacks and abilities
• Beautiful cut scenes

Game Cons
• Online play isn't highly populated, so it takes time to find a fight sometimes
• FPS locks at 30fps
• The Camera can very rarely get at a weird angle while fighting near walls (Nothing that lasts more than a second)
• Does not play well with Keyboard. Would highly suggest using a Steam controller/Xbox Controller

Relateable Games
• Legend of Korra
• Street Fighter
• Soul Calibur
• Tekken

Conclusion
NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM 3 is one of the most amazing fighting games I have ever played. If you loved the anime and or reading the manga, I would HIGHLY suggest buying this. Even if you just love fighting games, and have no back story of Naruto, you will for sure fall in love with this game.
