I bought this with a low discount. I felt ripped off when I was in the launcher, as I there are only two graphical options, no default keyboard config(many ppl recommend to play this game with a controller). After I got a good keyboard config(guide made by ThillinaC), I launched the game, hoping to find my moneys worth. After the prologue, my feelings about this game turned 180 degrees. I wasn't a Naruto fan, but the story of the game won me over. I wasn't a fan of fighting games, but now I have more of those in my wishlist.
This game isn't a good PC port, but it has the steady 30 FPS, so you can enjoy this game that it's better than most expect. Like every fighting game, there are a ton of characters with different unlockable skins, each one with their unique moves. Even tough you'll most likely end up with picking favourites, picking random characters will show you that each character can win if you have the skill. The battles aren't about tactics as much as about timing, as the controls are the same for everyone, just the way the characters execute the commands is different, which makes every character interesting.
The story is so good that it makes the game deserve an underrated tag. For me it's up there with games like Mass Effect, since I've experienced many emotional impacts and catharsis throughout the game. It's all about the kid who turns out to be the hero that inspires five nations to believe in themselves again and fight the war to prove the opponent that peace in this world can be. The story can turn out to be enough to get a person out of depression.
There's also free roam and the sense of exploration brings many rewards. The missions can be replayed, along many bonus ones. There are a lot of extra battles, like tournaments and mission challanges, that make wallpapers be available for the desktop.
It's a great game, both in quality and quantity, but it's also a bad port. I won't complain about the graphics, but some texture models could have used an improvement. 9.3 is the score for the game and I(along many fans) look forward for the next game and every naruto game that comes after it(that's how much of a fan this game has made me)

Every fan of the Anime/Manga of Naruto, need to play this game.

Gameplay:
The game has 80 playable characters (81 playable characters in Full Burst) including several new, making it the largest cast in the Ultimate Ninja series. The fighting system has been modified, with the Awakening Mode, a state that gave each character enhanced abilities when their health was low, being possible to be used at anytime during a fight, for certain characters. As in the previous games, the player can choose two characters to assist the player character in battle. The assisting characters now can also aid the playable one through the use of thirteen different types of combos. Additionally, the assistants have health bars, losing health whenever they get hit, ultimately being unusable when their health bars deplete. Several arenas have become interactive, making the player automatically lose a fight if they leave a specific area.

The story mode is similar to that of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 rather than the previous game Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations as it features boss battles that include quick time events and require the use of strategies to defeat the opponent. It also includes the "Ultimate Decision Mode" which gives the option to change the result of the battles.

Additionally, the game has mob battles in which the player controls a single character that has to battle a series of enemies.

Plot:
The plot takes place after Storm 2 and it begins with the leaders of all villages, the Kages, gathering to discuss the recent terrorist attacks by criminal organization Akatsuki and the involvement of former Konohagakure ninja Sasuke Uchiha on the latest one. Sasuke's group go to attack the Kages as they seek to capture Danzo Shimura, Konohagakure's current Hokage who is responsible for the Uchiha massacre years ago. As Sasuke is weakned in combat against all Kages, Akatsuki leader Madara Uchiha rescues him and request the Kages to hand him over Killer Bee and Naruto Uzumaki as they are the last hosts they need to fullfil their ambitions. The Kages refuse and Madara announces a new shinobi world war as he leaves.

Shortly afterwards, Madara brings Sasuke to Danzo which results in a duel where the Uchiha is victorious. He is then confronted by his former teammates, Naruto Uzumaki, Kakashi Hatake and Sakura Haruno who seek him to stop his fights, but Sasuke claims his desire to destroy Konoha. Naruto then proposes Sasuke one last final fight to see if he can make it return to the village or the two would die. As the two separate, the new formed Shinobi Alliance has Naruto and Killer Bee be sent to an island to keep them away from Akatsuki. In the island, Naruto confronts his inner darkness allowing him to control the power of the Nine-tailed Demon Fox sealed inside him. He does it before learning from his mother's spirit that the Fox was released sixteen years ago by Madara to generate chaos and that his parents sacrificed their lives to pass him the Fox's chakra.

Meanwhile, Madara reunites with the criminal Kabuto Yakushi and forms an alliance with him as Kabuto creates an army of reanimated dead bodies. Combined with Madara's army of Zetsu, these forces start clashing against the Shinobi Alliance's forces. After the first day of the war, Naruto learns of the battle going on outside the island and escapes with Killer Bee to help their allies. The two manage to defeat the Zetsus and Kages reanimated by Kabuto. With the Shinobi forces taking the upperhand, Kabuto reanimates the real Madara Uchiha, revealing the other as an impostor. The five Kages take on Madara until his departure while Naruto and Bee clash against the fake Madara who is controlling the hosts of the other Tailed Beasts. Joining forces with the Fox, Naruto takes down the hosts and forces the fake Madara to escape.

A sidestory and the DLC expand on Sasuke's appearance in the war. He meets the corpse of his older brother Itachi and both unite forces to defeat Kabuto and have him undo the summoning of all the reanimated army.

Additional:
The good things:
+ Great history, changing the story with your decisions in some missions (lol, that rhyme) √
+ Great soundtrack √
+ Great gameplay √
+ Most epic Naruto game ever released √
+ The first Naruto game for PC √
+ You can change the controls of the keyboard √
+ You can use a gamepad √
+ Multiplayer √
+ Voices in English and Japanese √

The bad things:
- Slow motion
- Slow videos/cutscenes in some moments
- Not very good pc port.

I recommend you buy it in a X-Box or in a Playstation. Anyway I say it doesn't have a good pc port, but it doesn't mean it is bad at all!

After I built my computer I was really excited for this, along with a few other games that came out on PC. Love it, and love the newer one as well. Despite it being a little different... But they are both fun games.

If you want to play part of the story, easily go for this one! Not a bad deal when it's on sale.
If you just want loads of characters, some of the older fields, and some other new variety. Go for Revolution!
Or just get the package deal on sale, and have fun!

This is a good game which suffers from being a weak port.

Before I talk about what I liked about this game, here are some issues I had with it...

- The game crashes for me on every other exit.
- The loading screens are annoyingly long. This was especially annoying while trying to 100% the challenge missions.
- Not enough graphic options.
- The game seems to use more resources when running on window mode. I had no framerate issues while running the game on fullscreen.
- Cutscenes. Too many damned cutscenes! The original cutscenes animated for the game were good but a good chunk of it is reused from the anime. It actually feels like the cutscenes were longer than the campaign itself.

Despite all that, the game left a good impression on me.

- The battle system is simple and easy to learn. The set of battle tips found in the start menu did a good job of explaining various mechanics. I think that a proper tutorial such as a practice fight would have been a lot better though.
- The game cutscenes (not the reused anime cutscenes) were done really well.
- The challenge missions were a good challenge. Some of them ranged from really easy to moderately hard.
- Large cast of playable characters. I wish it were larger though.
- Flashy moves!

The game was decent. It has problems that are common among ports but the production quality redeems it to a certain extent.

Best Naruto game ever. Way better than the new one, way better than the previous one. I highly recommend it. You don't really have to be at episode 200 in shippuden to watch. If you plan on watching shippuden, I would start this game around the arc where the five kage meet, but if you don't plan on watching shippuden and just playing this game, this game is amazing. It does a good job of summing up everything if you haven't watched the anime or read the magna. This game managed to manipulate the fillers that everyone hated and turn them into something with very powerful emotions. Recommend that you watch the first 120 episodes of Naruto (not shippuden) before you play this game at a very minimum, though.

Prettiest fighting game I've ever played. Great animation, great voice acting, great art. The only thing that was missing was an enjoyable combat experience. The combat lacked complete depth and this was more like watching a full season of Naruto than a game. (skipped all the cool movies.. mostly cause the pacing was slow.)

They wasted a lot of talented artists on this game.

So.. it is a beautiful game and stays true to the anime, however... the combat is boring, easy, repeditive, and lacks any substance.
