Sobre este jogo

The mean cruel cold blooded tyrant Ceville ruthlessly rules the beautiful kingdom of Faeryanis. Or rather, he used to rule the beautiful kingdom of Faeryanis, until the brave people revolted against his regime and drove him out of the palace.

The kindhearted queen Gwendolyn did step up to reign over the land with a council of noble and wise advisors.. It seems that this story could end just like any other fairy tale: "And they lived happily ever after..." But no, that's not quite right. Because another evil rises within the land. The treacherous Basilus — counsellor of Gwendolyn and of Ceville before her — plans to take the crown and torture the realm with the help of murderous beasts he has summoned from the planes of eternal darkness.

All seems lost! But hope resides with the one most unlikely person imaginable to save the kingdom and restore peace to the realm: Ceville, the realm's former despotic ruler...

Ceville
The ancient ruler of Faeryanis and spare-time tyrant, is dreaming up evil plans to exact his revenge on his former counsellor and servant Basilus, who betrayed him.

Ambrosius

The noble and somewhat self-important knight Ambrosius is Ceville's would-be-nemesis. He constantly attempts to capture Ceville — but usually with little success. Will they both team up to fight a greater evil?

Lilly
The gentle and kind girl Lilly is rather an improbable choice to team up with Ceville. Never the less she helps him to escape for the good of the realm (at least that's what SHE thinks!)

This game will give you an impression of what happens, when you mix up the setting and humour of Shrek, Discworld and the Monkey Island series.

  • up to three simultaniously playable characters with weird but loveable personalities
  • bizarre characters from stock-broker dwarves and hippie-elves who populate the fairy-tale realm of Faeryanis
  • various locations all over Faerynis, like the Not-So-Hidden druid circle, the (former) Elven Forest, The Dwarven Mines of Mount Goldmore and more! a variety of puzzles, many of which that can only be solved by teamwork of two (or more) player characters
  • tons of humour

This is one of the funniest adventure games I have ever played. While the puzzles are not too hard, it nevertheless has a decent storyline and pretty good graphics. I would highly recomend it to those that enjoy adventure games with humor and a little bit of a darkside of being nasty.

I bought Ceville while it was on sale for a cheap price. I looked at the game through whatever pictures i could find on steam and the way it was presented seemed like the perfect game for me to pick up now and again and prgress through which is great. The voice acting and humour in this game is at a point where nearly everyone will laugh at a point in this game. Considering its not a typical point and click adevnture of which you are the paladin on a journey per say, instead you are a colourful king who is awfully cruel to his subjects.
I was worried that you wouldent be able to actually do all the things the game says and its simply a mshup of cutscenes but lo and behold it was far better than expected you can wash a dirty tramps hair, torture the dirty tramp and most likely kill your own chef.

But as always there is a problem with the game the progession through the story is a little too slow. I'm not one to play point and click puzzle style games too often but when i got stuck i felt that when i found out what to do it was a bit unfair on the average player to think of, for example the only way to get past a part of the game to select a certain part of dialogue and figure out the rest.

But overall this game deserves a 3/5

Extremely hilarious, and Ceville is probably my favourite tetchy despot.
There is a bug involving the elf, which meant that I had to reload a save from a million years ago, which was annoying. I enjoyed the game nonetheless :)

A fun point & click adventure game.

I purchsed it for my Girlfriend, who's a non-gamer aside of Sims, and she really liked it. Funny conversations, cartoon-like graphics, lovable characters.
If the game is on a sale, it worth trying!

Ceville is a great 3D point and click adventure. Good humor, great characters, and some real brain stumpers for puzzles. Any fan of the genre would love a game like this and wish Ceville 2 was a possibility.

One of my first Steam buys, and money well-spent-- of course, I got it on sale. ;-)

I don't think it's going to replace some of the great point-and-click classics, but it's a nice little game in its own right and is worth a look.

It features nice 3D graphics (especially for its time), very good voice acting (eveything is voiced), quite humorous, and a good story. There are three playable characters: Ceville (the sniveling deposed ruler), Ambrosious the (hilariously) pompous knight, and Lilly (a cute little girl who has great banter with Ceville). Sometimes you play multiple characters simultaneously, and there are points where you have to do one thing as one character, switch to another, and complete a task.

Note that there are a few clearly-identifiable timed elements (a clock will tick) where you have to do something within, say, 10 seconds. There are no failures that require a re-load, and you can save any time. You can double-click to skip run animations, and you can hold the spacebar to reveal hidden objects.

Most of the puzzles are quite fair and reasonable-- there were a few I had to get help with...which IMO is a good thing. Many of the puzzles are combining inventory items in a (usually) intuitive way...and using dialog trees to open up new paths.

Anyway, give it a try next time it's on sale!

One of the most underrated, unkown absolute PEARLS of point-and-click adventure games. The game design and universe is creative, colorful and the universe is set in a magical medieval time. The music and characters are appealing and varied, and even though you're (mostly) playing as a malevolent king, you will cry not from sadness, but from laughter.

I played this several years ago, and I've been looking for it ever since. I finally found it when Ceville was on sale previously this year.

Highly recommended.

Gameplay is like Grim Fandango, but Ceville is "a bit" more selfish. It's kinda fun, but the story ends prematurely.

Even though it looks like unfinished indie game, with some animation bugs and overall lack of polish, And maybe its just cause I have not played adventure game in while, But I enjoyed Ceville's, Lillies and Amborius adventure very much, It has some good Lucas Arts style puzzles and humor, and some overall charm to characters, And Playing evil characters is always so much more fun ^_^

Surprisingly, I liked thig game. The characters were fun to play, the voice acting wasn't too over the top, funny scenerios, the puzzles were perfect in the sense that someone like myself can solve them without a strategy guide, and overall the story kept me interested. Even though I feel the game is aimed more at a younger audience, I still enjoyed it. Also the game design visuals and colors were pleasing. For a point and click adventure game, I give it 6.5/10

Fairly run of the mill point and click adventure game.

Graphics are good enough, although the framerate can be quite poor. Characters are good enough but very cliche. Writing is good enough. Puzzles are good enough. Loading times are irritatingly slow.

All in all everything about this game is good enough, but there's nothing to make it stand out. A competent but unremarkable adventure.

Ceville is a fun point-and-click adventure if you're a fan of the genre. It clocks in around 10 hours and there's some solid humor to it.

Ceville has a true honor in my library, as it is one of very few adventure games I've actually taken the time to complete. Ceville has great graphics considering what it is, supports my resolution, has a great sense of humor, and the length of the story felt just right. I did occasionally have to google for help, but that is part of adventure games anyways if you ask me. This game is fun if you are into adventure games, and at its current price tag will deffinately be worth adding to your collection. ~Seth

Great object using puzzle game. Ceville is just the type of charcter that makes for a lovely amount of wicked banter. The settings are nice and the humor excellent.

Similiar to one of the Telltale adventure games, except it has an array of extremely corny jokes about other games and movies. Also, the ending is what ever.
