"You control every aspect of the gun making the controls a bit fiddly but its so fun when you get it down. Get it when it's cheap. It's short."

Reviews

"Successfully reloading a gun for the first time through sheer muscle memory is easily one of the greatest feelings in gaming."
8.5/10 – Destructoid

"Receiver is interesting for two things. One, it focuses on a single weapon, the Colt 1911 A1, and takes it very seriously, using "high detail gun mechanics", which means you can "manipulate each part of the gun independently" (the beginning of the video shows this in action). The second is that it's a randomly-generated shooter that features permanent death. Taking place inside a single building, every time you die, you have to start at the very beginning again, but the entire game world is re-rolled. It's available now for $5, which given the ideas on show, is totally worth it just to check it out."

"Receiver didn’t cast me as some nigh-invincible mass of regenerating muscle. The end result, then, was that I felt exactly how I’d expect Real Me would in a combat situation involving live ammo."

This game has taught me more about gun mehanics then all the Cods I've played put together.
Sure, it's hard as balls, but it's still an excelent game. You play it, lose, but you WANT to play it again.
I RECOMEND THIS GAME TO RELAXED GAMERS

-Encounters floaty enemy
-Pulls trigger
-*click*
-Cusses
-Unloads magazine
-Gets zapped and dies
-Swears he will remember how guns work next time

Sneaking around with a gun that you're pretty sure will fire is a very nice experience.

Blue lights and certain beep tones now cause me to assume the fetal position and hope I don't die.

Thanks, game.

TITLE
Mini-Review

7.0/10
Developer: Wolfire Games
Genres: FPS, Simulator
Year: 2013

Pros:
+Realistic Gun Mechanics
+Realistic Bullet Physics
+Includes The Glock 17, M1911 Pistol, &... Some Other Revolver I Don't Know The Name Of...
+ROBOTS
+Decent Controls
+Ability To ACTUALLY Control Your Gun

Cons:
-Only 3 Weapons :(
-Only 2 Different Enemies
-Really ♥♥♥♥in' Low Framerate. ALL THE TIME.

Summary:
Great overall gun simulator, really needs some more weapons though.
The three weapons you are given is.... Not enough for a game like this.
However, I don't think it's worth it's current price.
It's worth about two dollars less. It's a fairly small game.

I recommend getting this game.
