Ok, cadet. This is it. All your training has brought you to this point - you are here for one reason only: to be the best.

Strike Suit Infinity is a frantic high score chaser where your skill is the only thing that matters. Whatever combat experience you have had so far is considered irrelevant. There is no end to the enemies you will face. There is no winning. There is only the fight for survival.

Take to the cockpit of one of three Strike Suits, engaging waves of enemies, building your multiplier and putting as many points on the board as possible. You’ll need to use your head, though. In between rounds, use credits to purchase upgrades and reinforcements, maximizing your potential in the next round. The longer you can stay alive, the bigger your score, and the higher up the leaderboard you’ll find yourself.

Engage intelligent enemy fighters and take on colossal capital ships, exploiting weak points in their super-structure to blow them apart piece by piece. Upgrade your Strike Suit and customize your weapon load-outs to tailor combat to your tastes. Take advantage of three very different Strike Suits to experience dogfighting action as you’ve never seen it before.

Key Features

  • Fast, frantic space combat: freely engage multiple enemies, dogfight other pilots and fight massive fleet battles.
  • The Strike Suit: strategically switch from Pursuit Mode (speed and power) to Strike Mode (a powerful, highly maneuverable combat mode).
  • It’s all about your score – build your multiplier, take down waves of enemy as fast as you can, and race to the top of the leaderboard.
  • Manage your strategy – use credits in between rounds to purchase upgrades and reinforcements for the next round.
  • Capital Ship Destruction: take capital ships apart piece by piece – take out their turrets and target weak-points to blow out entire sections of their superstructure.
  • Ship Designs from renowned Mechanical Design engineer Junji Okubo (Appleseed: Ex Machina, Steel Battalion).
  • Music from award-winning sound designer Paul Ruskay (Homeworld) including a collaboration with Japanese singer/songwriter Kokia (Tales of Innocence, Gunslinger Girl: II Teatrino) and Subsource.
  • Joystick compatible: as well as being fully optimized for mouse and keyboard, and gamepads, Strike Suit Infinity is compatible with a range of joysticks for full immersion.
  • Vicious new enemy types
*DOES NOT REQUIRE STRIKE SUIT ZERO TO PLAY*

Step 1. Get a Joystick/Flightstick
Step 2. Buy and install Strike Suit Infinity
Step 3. Put on some hype/metal music
Step 4. Experience one of the most absurdly badass and insane experiences you can have in a video game

When was the last time you saw a space combat game?

While you are probably thinking to get Strike Suit Zero, I would rather recommend Strike Suit Infinity mainly because Strike Suit Zero's story wasn't really interesting to me (in my opinion), but what shined the most was the combat. SSI takes SSZ's great combat and puts it into a cheaper and a more "arcade styled" game.

Some features about the combat:
  • The Strike Suit has a "Flux" mode, and when activated, your Strike Suit turns into a "Gundam-sort-mech" that targets more enemies and deals more damage.
  • It's a pure arcade space combat game, just shoot the bad guys and you are good to go.
  • The music helps fuel what is going on in combat. It will play an ambient tune when there aren't much enemies, but once you are on a final wave, expect an awesome adrenaline pumping track.
  • I find the game is better played with a Mouse and Keyboard, a Joystick works, but I just prefer the Mouse and keyboard since shooting enemies feels a lot easier, instead of having to constantly move your ship to get a good shot.
If you have great memories of space combat simulators (ex: Freespace and Star Wars flight action games), Strike Suit Infinity could be the game for you.

I wasn't the biggest fan of Strike Suit Zero, mostly due to many shortcomings I had problems with (read my review if you'd like to know more). However, and to my surprise, Strike Suit Infinity is such a nice game, I'd say it's even better than SSZ, because they fixed so many problems I felt the original had.

-unlike Zero, Infinity is just there as an arcade kinda game. You ascend higher into the levels and stay alive, shooting as many enemies as you can. mostly for points
-you can hire escorts, from tiny ships to massive frigates, and they'll actively help you as long as you help them
-you can upgrade both them and your ship thanks to credits you earn throughout the stages
-strike suit mode is so sweet, and they actuallly make it more vital to the gameplay by giving you the ability to greatly extend how much you get to use it. Plus, right off the bat you get a good selection of strike suits with different abilities, since you can unlock 1 pretty early, and the other is right behind it.
-overall a light and fun experience

Even though I still find issue with the controls, the game is far more lenient in intense firefights, but there's still challenge. They really did improve the core of the game. So yeah, buy it if you can, on sale or no. I recommend it regardless.

Yeah !!!!! Dogfight in space!
I really love this game because of its concept. The game just got better with the transforming strike suit. It is an awesome game for die-hard Gundam fan like me. But one thing that does not make this game complete. It is Multiplayer.
I hope this game have multiplayer features added.

I'm a failed pilot ._.

As someone who is prone to motion sickness, I'm quite dizzy playing this game. I tried my best. But I guess I'm just a failed pilot. T..T

This is really a good game. Cool and all. But I'm just so freaking noob with game like this. I didn't try to like the game because I already I liked it. But I'm just noob at it.

In summary, I failed. They kick me out of the military and I'm now cleaning the toilets for the cool guys as a janitor . _.

Strike Suit Infinity does the franchise justice by providing an arcade-y mode to pilot your Strike Suit.

However, by no longer confining your progress to the story, the only progress you'll see is how many allied ships you can bring to your next mission. This is also a bad thing as you can't reliably play a later stage without it being harder rather than playing it all the way from the beginning (which you can accumulate as currency making your later stages easier).

A solid 7/10.

It is just a fantastic Game. I recommend you turn on ALL visual effects to enjoy this. Looking at the other reviews 1-2 hours on record of gameplay isn't enough to truly expereince this game. Round 12 + Is where people need to really review this game. If you want fast paced? This is it. Overall the controls are hard to get used to sure but for me a keyboard and mouse are absolutely fine. Once your past the learning cuve this game is a blast. Literally.

The ships look truly stunning flying past then with their cannons blasting the enemy fighters. And once you are in the higher round and the cruisers are fighting each other its becomes really fast paced. And you can choose to start at round 19 once you reach it and go from there to "Infinity". So it does give you the option to bypass the slower levels once you clear them.

All in All this game is a 10/10 for me. If you want a High paced Space shooter then this is for you. Graphically stunning and great game play.

Cons? Honestly if this had muliplayer I'd be on 300+ hours by now. Its a shame they never gave it the ability for online.

Strike Suit Infinity is a excellent wave-based space arena game, where you take control of a spacecraft/mech transformer hybird thing (called Gund... I mean strike suit) to destory waves of enemies from small intercepters to massive carriers. There are 18 stages total, with each stage having a set number of waves of enemies to fight. You keep going until you die, when you die your score gets added to the leaderboards.
Combat is part dogfighting, and part Mech mode massacre. When you are in "jet" mode you aren't very powerful, but you are pretty fast. Your goal is to fill up your red meter, so that you can enter "mech" mode. In "mech" mode, you become a death machine, but you cant travel great distances very fast. Your red meter will drain in "mech" mode per weapon fired. This red meter fills up whenever you kill an enemy.
There are 3 types of strike suits, unlocked as you progress through the levels. You can unlock new weapons and upgrades, that you keep when you die.

PROS
-Amazing visuals, particle effects
-Great soundtrack
-challenging
-good enemy variety
-the PRICE!!!!
-runs well on my PC

CONS
-controls could have been better
-Each wave in a stage remains the same on every playthrough
-Can be alittle bit hard to aim in "jet" mode

Improvements
-Needs more Gund... I mean strike suits
-Needs more weapons
-Needs strike suit customization

English Review
It was enough for me to see a universe, spaceships and space fights and I didn't hesitate to buy this game by discount coupon.
Galactic combats and accomplishing of missions is my thing. I love games of this kind. Either on cell phone, personal computer or notebook.
I didn't actually know what it was going to be about, but I was excited.
Accomplishing of tasks consists of rounds, where round means a wave. After killing your enemies from the first wave, another ones will come. If you succeed in everything, you're promoted to another level. Meanwhile you can enhance your boat, gain points or score, or in fights – for your gained credit – you can fly in round with your introducing parade.
And not to forget – there is a chance of using weapons and chaning of boat to a „robot“, makes this game even more interesting and high-rated.
Let's kill the enemies!
Rating: 10/10

Slovak Review
Stačilo mi vidieť vesmír, vesmírne lode, a vesmírne boje a neváhal som si túto hru kúpiť cez zľavnený kupón.
Ak uspeje vo všem, prešli ste a postupujete o lvl vyššie. Popri tom si môžte vylepšovať svoju bojovú loď, nahrávať body či skóre alebo v bitkách za nahraný credit si so sebou do kôl lietať s uvítacim sprievodom.
A aby som nezabudol ... Možnosť používania zbraní a menenia lode na ''robota'', robí touto hrou zaujímavšou a kvalitnejšou.
Vzhúru do kokpitu a zabíjať enemy.

This is a really interesting game, and it is somewhat fun. In addition the price of admission on a sale of ~3$ or less, you can't entirely go wrong. Yet, as a game itself it has some issues and it's unfortunate because I really want to love this game, but I just can't presently.

Pros
-------
Cheap
Fantastic graphics
Massive smorgasborg of ships in a battle at once
Decent soundtrack
Supposedly improved over Strike Suit Zero (Haven't played)
Difficult

Cons
-------
Difficulty is somewhat due to wrestling controls and some players (I was indifferent) might not like the lack of a difficulty option.
Controls are less then optimal and misses some important options.
AI is dumb as a rock, both allies and enemies
The view out the ship in 1st person view mode is very narrow
No quick shortcuts to roll
Serious Performance issues with the engine itself, engine slows down entirely with large amounts of ships, completely unrelated to hardware power of your PC.
In addition the game is prone to random crashing.

Score 6/10 (Alright)
Score if it was without control and performance issues 7.5/10 (Good)

Arcade-like space shooter where you control fighter that can transform into robot. Unlike it's big brother, Strike Suit Zero, this one has no story and it's all about clearing levels and getting high score by killing waves of enemies. After each level there you get cash that can be used to buy additional reinforcements. Has a pretty strong flavor of Gundam.

While this lacks the story-based campaign of its predecessor, it makes up for it in tighter, more focused gameplay. It's really a lot of fun if you want to simply load up something spacey and shoot stuff. For a detailed review, check out my full article here. Enjoy!
